Thought you might like to see this.

I have often thought that they might have lost something more than their innocence. People who have had

dreams/visions and or NDE's often say they see Jesus clothed in bright light, and it is thought that is perhaps

what the first couple lost when they sinned - their clothing of light which represents Holiness, but to my

knowledge we have no proof of this.

If the verses you added in post 10 pertain to this heavenly light as clothing, it is not spelled out clearly enough for most

of us. In time we will see for our self!

  2. I can only imagine the horror of being confronted with each and every sin I ever committed at once.

I confess that Jesus is Lord and I know my sins are covered, still I make an effort to confess each sin I commit.

My desire is to stand before our Creator with as many sins confessed as is possible. I ask Him to reveal to me

any sin not now confessed so that I can accomplish my goal.

  3. God created Adam and from Adam Eve was made. Eve was deceived by Satan and she said:

“And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. “ (Genesis 3:13)

Here we find that Eve was the transgressor – not Adam.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (1 Tim. 2:14)

    Gen. 3

14-And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15-And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

19-In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Because Eve was the transgressor she was told that she would suffer by bearing children, but no mention was made as to how Adam would suffer. The ground was cursed and he would have to work for his living as opposed to God furnishing he every need. That was a pretty stiff punishment as I can attest, because getting our soil to produce food is almost impossible.

Because God had to furnish this first couple with skins to cover their nakedness it is evident they lost something very vital because of their sin. Since Jesus and the angels most often appear in shining light of some kind I tend to think the light of fellowship and communion with God was lost. I also think they lost their spirit, and that is why we now must have the Holy Spirit in us once we are saved. His Spirit now fills the space vacated by the one we lost through Adam's action of following his wife's decision and go against the advice of God.

Eve's future condition of suffering is spelled out, but not Adam's. I am of the opinion that when Adam fell his blood became contaminated with sin. My reason for thinking this is based on the fact that when Jesus was born he could have a human mother but not a human father. No blood passes from the mother to the fetus while in gestation, so no sin is inherited from her. However had Joseph fathered Jesus the sin nature would have passed from him to Jesus and this is why the Holy Spirit had to become the progenitor/father of The Messiah.

If any of you raise chickens and have fertile eggs you can see a perfect example of this. Hens can lay eggs without help of the opposite sex. If a rooster is added to the mix and an egg is cracked and there is a spot of blood in that egg it indicates it is fertile – or in other words it is going to produce another fowl. The blood in that egg can only come from the rooster. No unfertilized egg will show blood when cracked.

Because the blood is inherited from the male, passed on in what the Bible refers to as “his issue”, we each inherit a sin nature.

This is also why King Herod ordered the male babies killed. He knew that he may be killing that forthcoming King of Kings whose blood would be pure. I believe this was an understood fact in their time. One day I want to do more through study on this, though in the verses presented I have a pretty good case.

The blood of Jesus had to be without sin so that he could present it to the Father as a propitiation for our sins. Had his blood contained sin Satan would have won his battle hands down.

    Now back to the original question, no we do not inherit but yes we do inherit our sin nature. This is what the Word has for us;

    Psalm 51:5 KJV

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

    Ezekiel 18:18,20 ESV

Yet you say, ‘Why should not the son suffer for the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done what is just and right, and has been careful to observe all my statutes, he shall surely live. The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

    Galations 3:19

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

  4. Yes, I believe in miracles and think we are at the door of seeing things we would not believe even if we were told!

Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you. (Habakkuk 1:5)

  5. Hi Tyler, welcome to Worthy forums.

I am so glad you are here because there is always help for you from Father! He loves you and

like the prodigal son He welcomes you back home. You have strayed, but now you are asking

    Him for forgiveness, and this is what He says;

    1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Note that little word if - IF we confess He forgives. That is His promise to us and you can rest assured He has

forgiven you of those confessed sins, and not only those, but sins you committed but did not recognize as sin

    have also been forgiven.

    Once you have confessed He does this;

    Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

These are promises and as God can not lie they are fulfilled instantly!

  6. As I study this mystery, I am finding that their are unseen sources that seek to be the one who declare the truth of it unto me. I have not been able to successfully understand how to rightly divide this portion of the word of God. I have ideas. Things I keep in my heart. I am in watch mode. Watching for any and all sin in my life, confessing that which I find and seeking to be fully awake and alive unto God. Watching for areas in the lives of my brethren where I can encourage them to seek purity and give a good witness of Christ.

I sat last night with a man who I am getting closer too and revealed unto him that which I have heard and thought to be true fully expecting him to reject all that I had to share but was surprised instead to hear him say, you just might be right we shall soon see. That he saw no real conflict in that which I proposed. But he was more interested in working to get me to stop the endless pursuit of seeking to know every mystery and detail, instead to focus upon performing God's work well while I wait for the plan to begin to unfold around us. As our beloved sister sevenseas as worked to do, he sought to calm the alarm in me by showing me that fear of God is good but a fearful spirit is not. This has been difficult for me.

The saddest part of it all is that I truly don't want it all to go down. I just want to live a simple life with a wife and children bearing a good witness of the love of Christ unto those who come in contact with me. That, however, doesn't seem like a likely event, except it be that God send the destroyer through the land to destroy the wicked leaving only those who truly trust in Christ behind along side any unbelievers who have lived and done those things contained in the law according to that which is written upon their hearts. In this respect I like Psalm 30.

Peace and love in Christ Jesus our Lord!

May I remind you of 1 Corinthians 2:9?

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

You may accomplish your desires in the 1000 year reign Gary.

    Isaiah 40

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

    Patience my friend!

Palestinians kick off Jerusalem bid by ceding Holy Sites Custodianship to Jordan’s king

    Who's (the new) boss?

A historic agreement signed in Amman Sunday, March 31, between Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Jordan’s King Abdullah II takes a new stand on Jerusalem - one of the core issues subject to negotiation with Israel - by accepting the king as Custodian of the city’s Holy Sites. The Palestinians agreed that Abdullah “will oversee and manage the Waqf (Muslim religious authority) in Jerusalem” and represent the interests of the Holy Sites “in relevant international forums… through feasible legal means.”

    This proposal was dated 3/31/13
