How can the ethnic people of Israel put an end to there own transgression, not believing in the one who was sent, Christ! They do not have the Spirit because they do not belong to God, as Christ testified to the Jews of his day. The Israel of God are people of all tribes and tongues that have the 'Spirit of Righteousness' as given to Abraham, that's why scripture says not all Israel are Israel. Who then is Israel? Those who believe in the messiah, Christ! Yes, there will be a remnant, but only that. The one who puts an end to transgression can only be Christ, not natural man, devoid of the spirit who cannot know God. Does this mean he puts an end to transgression for the believer, us being perfected, or an end to transgression during the millenial reign of Christ when he comes?

Rod, you are not the first person to make such a bold claim - about your certainty that God directly gave you this revelation. I have heard this from people in my personal life, in the media, and on the Message board - "God revealed to me...." And they all believed it, too. So why should I believe your revelation? And as I mentioned before, I interact with prophetic people. When they are proclaiming what they heard from the Lord, the focus is always on the Lord. "...For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."(Rev. 19:10) One does not need an I.D. for the AC to know this. So you are saying His words had no relevance to anyone He spoke to before any of them, the hearers, were spirit-filled? Born-again, spirit-filled people are just as capable of exhibiting jerky behavior as the unsaved. We all still struggle with sin - even Paul confessed to such (Romans 7). Consider, why would John (in his epistle) have to keep encouraging those he wrote to to love one another unless he had noticed they were not exhibiting love to one another? Now let's look back at what you said: "do you think I should allow a fellow believer to slap my face for nought." Are you regarding this "fellow believer" as a pagan because he slapped your face? Or are you saying that we only turn the other cheek to pagans who slap us in the face? But then how is your reaction to being slapped an expression of "mercy, grace, justice and humility"? No, because I agree with the sentiment. I've been through the insistence that Kissinger was the anti-Christ. I've been through the insistence that Gorbechev was the anti-Christ. They all presented their cases, just as you. They pointed to this action and that action and how it fulfills this Scripture and that Scripture. It's gotten old. Why should I believe your insistence? Example, I read the book "88 Reasons Why Christ Will Return in 1988" - that was 40 years (what was claimed to be a "generation") after 1948. So which year do you believe to be the marker, and how long do you believe a generation is? And how does that relate to this year or 2012? Rod, those of us who have been Christians for decades have heard numerous people claim up and down, right and left that such-such person in the anti-Christ (as Shiloh mentioned). "Pin the tail on the antichrist" is a term someone on this board used at one time to describe this phenomenon, and the term stuck. As for your defense, John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus. In fact, all the prophets of old proclaimed the Lord and His Kingdom first, and any prophecies of doom were with the intention of turning the people back to the Lord. And when people rejected the prophecies given, the prophets did not react in a way that comes across as a whiny temper-tantrum. I'm not saying that to be mean, but that is how your words come across. I truly hope you are more interested in seeking and knowing the Lord than you are in seeking interpretation of the End Times prophecies. If your desire is to be used of the Lord, your words need to display the fruit of the Spirit in your prophetic declarations and in how you react to rejection. For if people are rejecting a word of the Lord, then they are rejecting the Lord, not you, and you need to encourage them to pursue the Lord to get back on track with Him. Nor am I so sensitive to think they are. But unfortunately those that don't possess the gift of revelation knowledge tend to down play such insight, mainly because they just don't have that gift. But since Israel miraculously regained her nationhood the prophetic time clock has been ticking, Jesus said the generation that witnesses this will not pass away till all things are fullfilled, Matt 24. Obviously we must be right at that point in time if this prophesy is to be fullfilled, why then should it be considered childish or self-exalting to see the fruits of endtime prophsey if this is so. Sarkozy? Rod, even if I DID believe in an antichrist dictator, it wouldn't believe it was him. I don't think that man could find his nose in a snowstorm. Every year that passes has its own crises and calamities. We experience tragedy on local, national and even international levels. Every year has its own controversies and conspiracies. They come and go. Next year will come and go with its own peculiar set of difficulties and challenges just like this and every other year in the past. By Dec. 21, we will (hopefully) have a new president and have come through tests and trials just like we have this year. Events will be blown out of proportion and people will try to force them into biblical prophecy and books will be written and opportunistic people will make mone off of the hysteria like they always do. It will come and go like any other year. And they will say, where is this so-called promise of his return, things just keep on going on as they always have, you sound like you're almost quoting Peter from 2 Peter Chpt 3, 'the last days'. 2012, rebuilding of the temple, I think so, owing to a 7yr peace treaty, coming soon.
