Yeah it indeed must be huge. If lightning is going out of it I can not imagine the size of it. Lightning bolts are usually miles long.

I have always imagined the throne to be as big as a house or a small city block but since my walk in christianity and regular reading of the scriptures it turns out that the throne of God in heaven is something extremely huge. I have come to realize this after reading this peculiar passages : Isaiah 6: "I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne high and lifted up and the train of his robe filled the temple" , Revelation 20:11 : "Then I saw a great white throne ,,," The bible makes it clear that all the host of heaven -all the angels + all the saints are standing Before the throne and around it. This on itself is enough to prove my point. We know that some of the angels are quite big and powerful and we know also that there are many angels.(probably billions) and if all of them can stay before God this means ONE BIG THRONE!!! This is a great to me because I have been raised in an Eastern Orthodox country full of iconostasis depicting God the father as an old man sitting on a regular sized wooden chair. I am glad to see that the real throne in heaven is something infinitely bigger and more majestic than a human painting (no offence to anybody) I will be extremely happy to see your point on this.
