You quoted someone from 2004, wincam.

Many people here have been here for 10 to 15 years!  We are of many diverse denominations.  But like George said, we are Christ centered and wholly base our faith on the 66 books of the Bible.  When people base their faith on other things, like visions and revelations that contradict Scripture, whether it be the prosperity gospel or the doctrines of the immaculate conception and perpetual virginity of Mary, we have lost our common ground.  None of those beliefs can be substantiated by the Bible.  So Worthy 's ideas are working for those who are Both Christ centered and Bible centered.

So I have to ask, how familiar are you with the Bible?  Do you have an intimate daily relationship with Jesus Christ in which you both talk to Him and hear from Him as confirmed by the Bible?  Or is your relationship with your church and with Mary.  Do your check your churches teaching with the  Bible to see if these things are so the way gypc planned to do?  If your have, do you consider the Bible to be the accurate inspired Word of God?

if my people will who are called by my name humble themselves ........etc - it is good to see that what has been and is accepted by Worthy is that we are directly responsible for the state of our world and not attributing it to inspiration via the HS and so directly to the HS - so come as even here let us study and discuss, together, to see if these things be so - wincam

Many might say that this experiment will fail because we can't cling to false teaching but the funny thing is, I have given up some false teaching since I have been here.

I came here looking for fellowship and at 1st I thought people were not operating in love. They were so headstrong with some opinions. They would say that men I have looked up to for so long were teaching false doctrine. This is when the experiment started working for me because instead of argueing over and over, I became slow to speak and quick to listen. I found out through much study and prayer that the men in ministry I latched on to were indeed teaching things that were outside the of word of God.....or, if you will a new revelation

So I asked God..what causes one to teach something that is false in the name of Jesus. He showed me 1John 2:8 (NIV)Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. 11Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

Runs ahead stood out to me like a bolt of lightening. I found that many are running ahead with one certain thing or another and being so focused on that, forgetting and even having to change other scripture to justify what they cling to.

I'm not going into much detail right now because I have a whole study on this I'm gonna post in the future but I'll give one example. God wants his people to prosper but men and women have given their whole life over to teaching the prosperity message that many of them have left the straight way and are running the race in a different direction other than the coarse Christ has laid out for us to run.

How many times have we heard.....here is a "new revelation" or God is "doing something new"

Since I've been here, I feel like nothing is gonna get past me again.

At the same time, I am not gonna run ahead to find every single , little bit of false teaching I can but now I am standing on the Word wholeheartedly. So if someone comes and says they have a new revelation or brings a 110 year old doctrine that was founded on an angel's gift and vision to someone, I will line in up against the word of God and see if it came from God or not.

So, in the Love of our Lord and Savoir, let us come together and see if we have the truth so that we can be perfected in righteousness.

George, this is a great thread and an even greater vision you have for the Body of Christ.

I will be praying even more than I was.

    In his love,

    Brian

so just stay awhile and hold fast and try and be worthy and see why Worthys ideas though highly praiseworthy are not really plausible or feasible or even possible imho alas and sadly so - wincam

I do believe you said it right there, at least not with Mary being the mother-which is where I was going with it, though was not as clear as I should have been, so I apologize for that. Since there is no biblical evidence that Joseph had another wife other then Mary, the only way you can suggest it was with another woman, would be to add to scripture.

Now, before this gets personal, and chases a rabbit trail, why don't you explain how yowm added to-or subtracted-from scripture.

one can it seems just believe anything one wishes to since it does not need to be in the Bible - wincam

No, it isn't: if it were, you would have posted the verses by now, and you haven't.  As for "eyes to see and ears to hear": I've presented Scripture to refute your claims. All you ahve presented ins off-handed remarks, personal opinion and not one shred of Scriptural evidence to back your point.

Scripture says clearly what the terms are for being saved in Romans 10:

"But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” (Romans 10:8-13, NASB, emphasis mine)

    Scripture also says:

"The Lord does not delay the promise, as some esteem slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9, NASB, emphasis mine)

"...not willing for any to perish, but all to come to repentance"; it doesn't say "He has saved everyone". What you are claiming is not scriptural, as it removes personal responsibility from individuals for the sins they commit and the need for repentance, so clearly outlines in all the epistles, Gospels, and even the Old Testament. Without that, repentance and grace mean nothing, and God has no opinion on sin, evil and judgment, which would make Him amoral and unsuited to judge.

And that is NOT the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit.

BTW: Scripture never says Jesus is  the savior of all mankind; John 3:16 says God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son, not that God SAVED the whole world.

it is in the bible but only for those with eyes to see and ears to hear viz "by one woman sin entered the world and by one woman our saviour entered the world" - wincam

But yet, you teach that Jesus does not have any brothers or sisters, even though the Bible specifically States he does.

My point is, you can't hold others to a standard that yourself does not follow. In this case , Yom did not add nor subtract, but provided a very biblical answer, quoting the very text you listed. Instead of accusing him of adding or subtracting (which incidentally your right, you should not do either) you explain why you think he is incorrect in a precise, polite, manner.

you must first learn to not read or interpret in a slipshod careless manner - so just show me where I have stated Jesus did not have brothers and sisters - wincam

Looking at John 14:16-17 appears to be talking to believers especially when you take in the larger context.

    John 14:16-17 KJVS
[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

    John 14:13-18 KJVS
[13] And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. [15] If ye love me, keep my commandments. [16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

it is forbidden to add or subtract and must not be believed or accepted = I will come to you = who - wincam

  7. a major problem and cause of much disunity appears to be attributing to ourselves what does not apply to us - a case in point is at Jn.3 where  what applies to non Christians is appled to Christians - also at Jn14:16-17 where 'you' is applied to us when it should be the 'world' and all the problems that follow on from just these two misapplications imho - wincm

    That directly contradicts Scripture, Wincam:

"But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:21-26, NASB, emphasis mine)

Scripture never says that Mary fulfilled any "requirements"; which puts your claim well within question and doubt. We do not make doctrine on what Scripture does not say. Scripture does not support Universalism (the belief that all are saved). THAT is the "problem".

I don't know where you are getting your "doctrine", but it certainly isn't from the Word of God.

it most certainly is but only for those with eyes to see and ears to hear it seems - so don't blame me if you just cannot see or hear - btw Jesus is the saviour of all mankind is what scripture says and so He is - wincam

No one believes babies have to be born again as babies.  That's nonsense.  Most of us believe, myself included, that babies are held in a state of innocence until they can make a decision for Jesus and if they die before that time comes, they go to be with Jesus.   I don't know anyone of sound mind and sound doctrine that believes otherwise.

you had better have a word with the born again Christians - wincam

John 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Hmmm, seems to read MAN as in adult. Again this point is so obvious that I wont even argue it with you. If you truly believe babies who die do not go to Heaven then you simply do not know Jesus.

what makes you think I believe that - did you not see my other post re 'saved before birth' - wincam

An idol is not necessarily an image. It is anything we value and place ahead of God in our lives, so yes most people, probably everyone will have idols. If you seek God on this he will reveal your idols and if you are willing he will help you to overcome them. It's not easy but God will always provide a way for you to have a relationship with him.

so simply tell us and simply show us what your God is like - wincam

He is my Sovereign Creator, my Righteous Redeemer, my Heavenly Father, my Eternal Judge and Merciful Savior.   He has no beginning and no end. His mercies are as high as the Heavens.   He is my Lord and King.  He loves me with indescribable loves and holds me up in His Everlasting arms.   I'd say that is a pretty good description of my God.

so how many everlasting arms, what about legs etc - wincam

Spiritually we are perfect once we are saved as the Word says in 1 John 4:17. We still have this wicked flesh to deal with in this life however that is NOT our true identity once we are saved.

Perfection is how God intended. Animals are created as God intended and are damaged through man's treatment of them but they survive on instinct given by God, not free will. So any animal with no contact with humans is perfect. Adam was given the job of naming and caring for animals but he brought imperfection into the world when he sinned the first time through his own free will. Humans are now born imperfect although this is not how God intended it to be and in order to rectify this sin Jesus had to come and pay the cost for the sins committed by us all. This has allowed us to receive forgiveness but we remain imperfect until the second coming when the dead will rise, believers will be given a new body and a new heaven and earth will be created. Until then we must repent of our sins, pray continuously and seek God in all we do so that we can have a solid relationship with God, as he intended us to.

kindly just simply simply answer the simple question - wincam
