Does the niv have Mark 9:29? Yes it does. It's the same verse as Mat.17:21. Does the niv have Lk.19:10? It's the same verse as Mat.18:11. The same with Mat.23:14.. it's in Mk.12:40 and in Lk.20:47. And so on with the other verse references, to be found in the other gospel accounts if not in Matthew.

In the niv for John 5:4 is a footnote which has the full verse. And the same for Acts 8:37 it gives it in a footnote. And so on regarding the other verses in Acts.

So, it's not as if the verses can't be found in that version at all as you apparently are trying to imply.

Maybe the KJV added that stuff and it doesn't belong there

Besides, the KJV had the apochrapha and tons of other junk

Besides, KJV is not even English

    Where are you from

I'm just guessing some Pastor's you like made the list?? :)

Now by the gender you list for yourself, I think it's safe to say you may be a transsexual.

    Am I correct?

You're afraid to say what sex you are?

Is it because you don't know yourself?

What if every pastor in the world that you don't like is on my "like" list.

What does that have to do with me challenging someone else's signature?

Maybe they should quit bad mouthing other Christians and clean up their own act first.

Did you know that's a biblical principle?

Did you know that's what Jesus said to do?

And you, Mr. or Miss transsexual, you don't know what you are saying or doing, do you?

I've had no trouble clicking that link and going to this website.   http://www.false-teachers.com/index.html

    Okay, let's get this straight.

I open up that web site.

Who does the website belong to?

Who is writing on the website?

When I open up "about us", it doesn't say who they are, it doesn't give any names.

When I open up "contact us", it gives a way to write to them with out telling you who you are writing to.

    What's the big secret?

It sounds like they could be muslims trying to disrupt the harmony of Christianity.

And you all seem to be taking the bite.

And I'm the bad guy here?

What a sad story. Like you wouldn't feel your own sneaker being slipped from your own foot.

Good for you that you called him out. Of course he'd have a rebuttal. That was his bread and butter you were challenging and materialist pastors eat well.

Well, by your signature, I see you promote Hinduism.

By you doing that, aren't you being a false teacher?

You quote a false teachers website here that does not tell us who they are.

Why are they afraid to say who they are?

Why would you listen to a blank face?

Who is behind the deception of this website?

The true part is correct. The personal attack is a sin.

I was there when Oral launched into his begging spiel. It ain't gossip when it happened.

You should have seen the Lakewood church service on TV this morning live from Houston.

Beautiful praise and worship music, videos of the 600 people that got baptized this past week, great sermon and pre-sermon by the Osteens.

I came away feeling the presence of God .

There's a good reason this church is filled up.

It is not a church of 40,000 fools.

People go there to be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

No, he did not talk about hell, but he did cry and at one point he couldn't stop crying, nor could I.

    They were tears of joy.

If you've never experienced that, I hope some day you will.

It's wonderful to have tears of joy.

There were many people in this service who spoke of salvation through Jesus Christ, and he gives a very powerful altar call, not a quickie like you see on his 25 minute TV show.

The real Lakeland church is the place to be.

Today I think Benny Hinn is the most obscene fake healer out there. Though his wife, or is she now an ex? , is fast trying to match his style.

Did you catch Oral Roberts when he broadcast his own testimony that he was a greedy materialist fraud? And before his own congregation?

You sound like a true gossip.

Actually it is a matter of history. Today's so called prosperity gospel started in the 1940's as what was known as the Faith and Healing movement. Pioneered by Ken Hagin Sr. and Oral Roberts.

     You should check it out.

No, your answer needs to be more than that.

You said satanists, you spoke for satanists.

How do you know satanists were involved in changing the church.

Hagen and Roberts were not satanists.

Where are you getting this satanists stuff.

    Can you name any books?

Anything online you can post for us?

Or are we back to your OPINION again?

  9. 1 hour ago, Heavenunlimited said:

I tell you what, the satanists, the new age etc they specifically made the plan to spread a gospel without hell, without sin preaching, with prosperity teachings.  Its all planned. Its part of the great deception. For 60 years ago it wasnt that way.

    How do you know?

Are you on the inside or know someone on te inside or is this just your OPINION.

Gosh Yowm, you know that's pretty difficult to do.

Now, I did say that the N.T. is FULL OF WARNINGS exhorting us, the believers to hold firm till the end, to persevere, to maintain our salavation.

YOU said that we cannot lose our salvation.

    So...

IF you agree that there are warnings, THEN you must also agree that they are for a reason.  What could the reason be for these WARNINGS YOU SPEAK OF HERE, if not for the fact that we COULD lose our salvation??

    Fran

Again, you are putting words in other people's mouths.

    You shouldn't keep doing this.

If you are wrong, then how many people have you deceived.

You can't use your OPINION when asking someone else to explain the truth, as though your OPINION was the truth.

  11. 3 minutes ago, Yowm said:

So embrace the blessings and chuck the warnings?

Like I said, don't watch the 25 minute TV show.

Watch the 1 1/2 hrs. Lakewood church service found at Lakewood.com

Sorry I've been calling it Lakeland all this time.

There is a huge Lakeland church near where I live here in Florida.

    Here:

    We Believe…

the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.

in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.

Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God’s Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.

as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.

    Thank you

Now I feel like converting again

Statements of Faith can look good, but show me where scripture tells us we will know them by their statement of faith!   Scripture tells us we will know them by their fruit.  Joel's fruit is not convincing he is a true follower of Jesus, but a very good prosperity preacher as he has prospered by ignoring sin.

okay, since Joel is better than all the preachers in the churches in my community, who should I watch on TV tomorrow morning?

  14. 4 minutes ago, OneLight said:

Joel reminds me a lot of Norman Vincent Peale who preached The Power of Positive Thinking, a cult.  His goal is to help you feel good about yourself, which is why he is always positive and smiling.  He will not say an atheist will not go to heaven, or a Muslim.  His claim is that there are many ways to Jesus, which they are as we all come from different backgrounds, yet, if someone dies without being saved, they are lost.  Joel will not tell people that their sinful nature will keep them from God unless you repent and accept Jesus.  His claim is that he will not judge the salvation of others, yet he does not preach against sin, just how to feel good about yourself.  Left by ourselves, without Christ, do you think we will be with Him after death?

Here is Joel Osteen's statement of faith.

    You be the judge.

I'm just tired from the OSAS thread!

    I need a good laugh.

    BUT...

How come everyone here does not like JOEL?

He may not be my type of preacher, but he certainly is preaching Christ, no?

They don't like him because he's rich, good looking, and always smiles because he happy being rich and good looking.

It really irritates a lot of people.
