  1. I must admit I have pornography issues.

I try to stop, but then I just move into some very bad dating sites, creepy games and then back to pornography. Even this morning I was happy how I overcome early urge into it, but around mid-day second wave somehow completely overwhelmed me. I saw just some google images results leading to lees then 5 minutes video, but now on evening I feel regret, loss of energy, and how I can not manage myself. Besides video was quite creepy and I feel regret how I could not use something more common at least.

Even as teenager I enjoyed it without realizing how addictive it can be.

    All advises are welcome.

  2. I face similar issue. I will write down sort of public confession maybe it will help to me. Maybe it will help to others as I will show how that crazy mindset works.

On some days when bored suddenly find myself out of control to harvest sexual content from internet despite never really liking that kind of my own behavior. Even as I woke up I feel that this really might happen what I do not like and still it happens later. In the most such cases I start with half innocent dating site thinking that I can not ban that to myself anymore, but it kinda awakens the beast to drift all around net from it. I have some quite unrealistic girl type which does not exist in dating site, but still I have to check for that again. And then I remember that it exists in other web sites without even thinking again how bad it is.

So it is clear "gunpowder" recipe for disaster: well rested, quite bored and then some dating site to warm up and breach mental defenses really.

I read pretty much all topic and hopefully I will face it with proper mindset next time.

  3. Hello,

I want for advice. I am really interested into finding Christian wife for entire life and do not even know where to look.

I try local dating sites, not even sure if it is OK at all, not so serious place where all entertain each other with soft erotic. No success from them either.

So I ask from those married happily mainly for advice. Where I should look for her?

Or maybe I do not have to search actively like that at all and wait for God timing?

  4. One more question about book of Psalms. I now know that Psalms are mixed up in numbers in some versions, but still lines sometimes do not mach here probably fist instance of such thing.

    Vulgate & Douay-Rheims

    Quote
2 12 Embrace discipline, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you perish from the just way. adorate pure ne forte irascatur et pereatis de via
2 13 When his wrath shall be kindled in a short time, blessed are all they that trust in him. cum exarserit post paululum furor eius beati omnes qui sperant in eum

Vs. NIV and other common now versions:

    Quote

12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

    Line seems 13 missing completely.

    Texts taken from:

    http://www.biblestudytools.com/parallel-bible/passage/?q=psalm+2&t=vul&t2=niv

So Kiss his son or Embrace discipline?

p.s. Why i can not reply?

  5. Today I found one really shocking issue. Was checking psalms, you know how they sound in Latin, maybe learn something, and found very strange issues with Psalm 82.

    Here just look:
    http://www.biblestudytools.com/parallel-bible/passage/?q=psalm+82&t=vul&t2=niv

19 lines vs. 8!? You do not need to know Latin to realize that something is terribly wrong with those "translations".

All comments are really appreciated, but I really would like to hear from person who can read Latin and English versions. Please state so if you can.

This is the problem with pulling a verse out of context and comparing it to another verse out of context. In Isaiah, GOD is talking to Cyrus, the king of Persia; HE is telling him that HE, GOD, has empowered him to be king of the world even though Cyrus did not know GOD. In the Psalm, it is a plea for justice. Note that the minor "god" is used, not "God" and was not therefore comparing man to GOD. Instead, the verse is saying that man was above all else on Earth; mighty ones, and judges; yet still subject to the "Most High" (GOD). Verse 7 continues "But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes."

    Thank you.

  7. So Exodus 9:6:

And the next day the LORD did it: All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the Israelites died.

That is it keep it in mind that all the livesock of the Egyptians is dead now.

    So Exodus 9:20-21

Those officials of Pharaoh who feared the word of the LORD hurried to bring their slaves and their livestock inside. But those who ignored the word of the LORD left their slaves and livestock in the field.

Basiically part of poor livestock is going to get double kill now right?

  8. Sacrifice a bull each day as a sin offering to make atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.

    Exodus 29:36

    But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a person, and whoever offers a lamb is like one who breaks a dog's neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig's blood, and whoever burns memorial incense is like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and they delight in their abominations;

    Isaiah 66:3

  9.

So why you reject Tobit book from Bible?

    ~

Does It In Any Way Point To Jesus And His Righteousness

Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Hebrews 10:7

Or Does It Only Point To Tobit And To His "Good" Deeds

Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, Psalms 40:7

So you reject it because Tobit is considered good man who as reward receives help from God's angel?

  10. He that takes vengeance will suffer vengeance from the Lord,
and he will firmly establish his sins.
Forgive your neighbor the wrong he has done,
and then your sins will be pardoned when you pray.

    Sirach 28:1-2

24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

    Exodus 21:24-25

"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'

But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.

    Matthew 5:38-39

So forgive or not forgive here is big question.

  11. Thanks for answers.

Is it not strange that Jesus title 'morning star' is used in some translations and 'Lucifer' in others?

My native language translation actually contains 'Ausrinis' (~= Morningman) there.

If you check: http://biblehub.com/isaiah/14-12.htm you can also find shining one and Day Star. So far 4 options instead of Lucifer if you do not like him in your Bible and want something else instead.

And I do not think there is other place with Lucifer name.
