I keep trying to convince my younger bother that the US Dollar wil soon collapse, because the Dollar was once back by Silver and Gold and I seriously doubt that we have any precious metal reserve left, also, we have a false economy, Washington is hiding the true picture of the recession and the economy. No Country in the world wants to trade in Dollars. It would surprise me is the Dollar would collapse before 2016 or before.

It doesn't matter if the dollar is backed by gold or not. It has a value we place on it for any product or service. It's nowhere near collapsing.

There is much manipulation also involved to sustain this system without feeling immediate fraudulent effects. However, our economy is unsustainable. It is extremely vulnerable to outside factors (derivatives, foreign investment, rates, other nations reserves, wars, divestment, etc.)

A collapse WILL occur and major wars will begin (or vice versa).But they will both happen. Then the ruling class will be able to create a new order out of the chaos.

For these reasons and coming against Israel are the reasons judgement is upon us. Is this too sensational to be able to see?

 

I agree with most of what you are saying. We can't keep going the way we are going but that does't mean it can't be turned around. The economy is strong, though not as strong as it was 10 years ago.

We have state sanctioned murder of the innocent (abortion), homosexuality rampant, wickedness and immorality unconfessed, and unrepentant Godlessness in abundance. I think anything short of full hearted repentance is going to collapse our economy. This is why and how come it will happen. Either way, I think we will find out soon regardless of the next politician (if we make it there).

And that is why Christ had to come in the first place. Because none of us do.

Not every part of the Bible is applicable for every person.  There are commandments that only apply to men, some only apply women, some only apply to you if you have a son or if you have a daughter.   Some commandments only apply if you are living in the land of Israel.  Some only apply to you if you are Levitical Priest.  Some commandments only apply if you own cattle.

I do not see the Sabbath mentioned in NT

Mark 2:27

Luke 23:56

Luke 4:16

Acts 17:2

Mark 2:28

Luke 6:1-20

Acts 16:13

And MANY more!

I've always been taught the sabbath is Saturday but we celebrate the Lords day which is the day he rose from the dead. Which would be Sunday.

The sabbath isn't a specific day of the week as much as once every 7 days.

Those who defend the Sabbath seem to have been brainwashed into thinking that our main argument is that it has been abolished.  They seem to have a set of pet arguments planned to refute what they think we believe.  

 

It shows that they are just parrots repeating a set of views they have been trained to assign to the rest of us.

The law of the sabbath is as real today as it ever was. They think that because Jesus said "if the mule is in the ditch . . ." In that Jesus was saying to keep the sabbath unless your mule is in the ditch.

Something interesting, research was done on work/rest relationships. We know that if we work all the time without ever resting, we will wear ourselves down and our work will not be as efficient. The research was done to find the best work/rest ratio to get the most from human productivity. Not by surprise, if we work 6 days and rest the seventh, we accomplish more then any other ratio. I use this as proof that the Bible must be real, as well as God who also tells us to do this.

I keep trying to convince my younger bother that the US Dollar wil soon collapse, because the Dollar was once back by Silver and Gold and I seriously doubt that we have any precious metal reserve left, also, we have a false economy, Washington is hiding the true picture of the recession and the economy. No Country in the world wants to trade in Dollars. It would surprise me is the Dollar would collapse before 2016 or before.

It doesn't matter if the dollar is backed by gold or not. It has a value we place on it for any product or service. It's nowhere near collapsing.

I think the queston that needs to be asked is which god? Because here in the US. If you allow one god into the school, you must allow all. And frankly I would not want my child singing about a differant god then my own. Something to think about.

Not true. I've been teaching for 20 years in Tennessee, 6 different schools, and only in one school did anyone even think that was the case. In my classroom now I have a small poster that says, "In God We Trust". I didn't hang it there, it came with the room. It is in most other teachers rooms as well as in the office where anyone coming in the building can see it.

Something interesting, research was done on work/rest relationships. We know that if we work all the time without ever resting, we will wear ourselves down and our work will not be as efficient. The research was done to find the best work/rest ratio to get the most from human productivity. Not by surprise, if we work 6 days and rest the seventh, we accomplish more then any other ratio. I use this as proof that the Bible must be real, as well as God who also tells us to do this.

Will the economy crash again

More than likely. When, no one knows. If you did, you could make millions. Maybe not as hard as it did last time, but, it could some day worse than the 1920's.

Can we get the admins to look into this feature? I have, on several occasions, had the same frustration trying to access/find some of my earlier posts.

I am a member of 4 different Christian forums. This is the best overall by far when it comes to the people here, the design of the forum, the way it is ran, etc. This is the first thing that I have found that makes this forum inferior to any of the others in any way. Not that it makes this forum overall inferior but the others all have ways to list all of my posts on one page. I can list every post or I can list just the threads I have started. Both options are available on all three other sites.
