Hi!  was reading Jeremiah (kjv) i liked this particular verse 2:20 "For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot."..

i checked it against other bible versions and they have changed it for eg (NIV) "Long ago you broke off your yoke and tore off your bonds; you said, 'I will not serve you!' Indeed, on every high hill and under every spreading tree you lay down as a prostitute." Seems quite different..what do you folk think?

I'm not sure if this verse is well known for choosing which bible or not, normally i don't wonder about such matters. This is the first time i ever looked to see how other bibles transliterated a piece of scripture... I will stay with KJV

Just try to stay focused on Your Heavenly Father... We all have our faith tried and many times we stumble and let God down...   

Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Read the bible daily.... and stay in constant prayer Romans 12:12 - "Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;"

If i could pass on wisdom it would be do not allow the false god of SELF into Your life this creates a gulf between You and God ...James 4:8 - "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you"...

Why is satan where he is?
Isaiah 14:12-15 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit". satan wanted to be God  

Where is he?
Job 1:7 "And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it." satan is here on earth!
Jesus called him among other titles John14:30 "the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me."  he is very deceptive.. 2 Cor 11:14  "for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" most the time he will appear as a warm and wonderful being....

Who is he?
The Deceiver - Rev 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Father of lies - John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
Man of sin - 2 Thess 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

There is a war on - Eph 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".  satan still wants to be God!!

Will God forgive him?
Jude1:6 "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Matthew 19:26 "with God all things are possible". So yes Jesus could be walking the earth today..But he isn't how do we know?....The bible says 1 Cor 14:33 "God is not the author of confusion, but of peace"....  The bible is the Word of God and tells us How things will happen so there is no confusion...Jesus ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God...

All eyes will see Jesus when he does return
Acts 1:11 "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven".
Luke 21:27 "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory".
Revelation 1:7 "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him,"
1 Thes 4:16  "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God"

Where is Jesus now?
John 14:-2 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also"
Hebrews 8:1 "We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;"
Mark 16:19"So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God."
Romans 8:34"who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us"

But he is with us through the Holy Spirit till He returns

Hi truth10 - Romans10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God".- Galatians - 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance" - Faith is something you grow in ... In this context You bear fruit by doing Spiritual things.. ie: prayer, worship, study the Bible, helping some-one etc This is wonderful you just let God guide You and give Him the Glory...and Bearing Fruit is highly Desired as a Christian. It is a way for God to show his Glory to the world.. John 15:8 - "Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit"; ..It is something that God asks of us to produce "the more You read Your bible the closer you know God and Your faith will grow stronger..and all the fruits of the spirit will also grow...always be giving thanks and praising God in Your heart...

The bible says God did not give us the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. So if you are in fear, where is it coming from because it's not coming from God? Why is the enemy trying so hard to convince you of this, if you are already eternally lost? If you were already lost, the devil would leave you alone because you would already be his.  I'm not even going into the fact that, what you describe is not the unforgivable sin. I'll just say this, if you had committed the unforgivable you would not have any thoughts or concerns about God, much less longing for God. I will pray for you, and that you find peace over this.

Satan is a liar John 8:44 "for he is a liar, and the father of it" his pride and joy is the Muslim faith They also are told to not deny their god for one moment or lose their (false) salvation  it is a favourite lie of his.

It is too easy to be caught up in the desires of the world and before you know it you have stopped following Jesus..and we have an adversary Eph 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places". Their job is to entice us into the desires of the Flesh..

But God is long suffering Psalm 86:15 "But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth". Did You know the oldest man to ever have live was Methuselah whose name meant -" when he is dead it shall come"..Referring to the Flood God wanted the people to repent and they would have been Saved and He gave them all the time but they never repented and one day the door (of the Ark) was closed to them and  it was to late they left it too long..In Revelation The seven Churches are admonished  and are told to repent . God gives us as much time as He can to repent to turn your back on the world and satan But dont leave it too long 2Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night" .turn off the television once and for all, start reading the Bible and focus on pleasing God again Give Your Life To God.

Yes there is a War on. Gods people are called to War every-one else are prisoners of War.. Satan adds leaven where he can and corrupts the Word of God. We need to ask God for discernment and not our own understandings.

Hi i have always used KJV, just referring back to Mark 9:29 Some Bibles have entirely omitted its witness Verse in Matthew 17:21 it seems the Devil is removing himself from the Word.

Howard Pittman describes   the Veil you refer to is  also known as The Valley of the Shadow of Death or Jordan which we all must cross this is where Satan and his dominions are encamped and plan there attacks This Veil was rent in two on Jesus Crucifixion and an highway Isaiah 35:8 was established  Jesus set His people Free from the waiting place known as Paradise to travel to Heaven along this Highway (Tunnel with light at end) Since then the righteous are able to travel directly to heaven upon death.( i may or may not have added bits) When this veil is removed Wow
