  2. First, welcome to worthy

    bigape

This is the whole issue with the King James Version, of the Bible. These who translated the King James, believed that the words were important, therefore they translated the original languages into English, word for word(as close as it could be). But the philosophy behind "every other English translation", is that "words aren't important, but the ideas are;" This is why they feel free to change the words, any way they choose. (Like has be said for years, "If you change the words you change the meaning!")

Second, I won't assume anything so please explain what exactly you're getting at. :th_praying:

  3. IF MY BODY WERE A CAR...

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ... But that's not the worst of it.

My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter. ....either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

  4. I wouldn't post something that has foul language in it! What's up with that!!!

 We know that 4given1....

Some links can and do revolve the content....one day content is fine (advertisements/banners etc...) and the next its not.

Its a always a good idea to remember that....we as mods know that and when we remove a link for content we always, always give the benefit of the doubt to the poster, knowing that the "content" can change quickly

Not your fault....its the fault of this thing named "internet" :whistling:

    You da bomb :thumbsup::thumbsup:

  5. chiquita Thank you for sharing. I guess i just find myself reliving the same wound b/c of what she recently said, "my drinking never hurt anybody!" and everything resurfaced!!!

I understand those painful memories and the anger etc. resurfacing but you will get to the point that you realize that people are gonna say what they want to say, regardless of how it might make you feel. Ask God to guard your heart. Let go of the words and just determine from today that you're going to be a better person than that by the grace of God. Words that my parents said to me when I was a child still ring in my heart at times but they don't determine my life.

Counseling can be a good thing and if you need it again, don't hesitate to go. Please don't go to one that isn't Christian though. God can and does work through counselors but ultimately, only He can heal you and deliver you through this. Hold onto Him!!

  6. As prices roll towards four dollars some gas stations are having a hard time charging you that much.

Four dollars a gallon was inconceivable when some of the pumps in our area were built. The numbers on the pumps don't go that high.

If manufacturers can't come up with an affordable fix for the old machines, either the pumps will go, or the stations will have to close.

David Worrells in Catawba County had to stop selling diesel fuel for three weeks once it reached the four dollar mark. He finally got one pump up-fitted but the rest are waiting.

"You got to spend about $750 to get a new gear put in.....and that's the only way we can sell it" he says. "We don't make but 3 cent a gallon off what we do sell and that's on a good week and that don't even pay for the electricity it takes to run the pumps. It's ridiculous, it's killing us, it's affecting our whole economy."

With prices predicted to soar even higher, Worrells will likely have to shut down more pumps unless he can come up with the cash to fix them.

Also, if gas station owners can afford the money to buy the part to fix the pumps, companies that sell them are so back ordered it could be months before the parts are available.
