thank You Lord for the lesson You taught me last night. sad because i might not be able to do cpr anymore i was focusing on what i may not be able to do instead of what i could do through You. You gently reminded me that i could still call for help and pray for that person and be there with them should the day come when i could not be "active" in helping. in so many ways a greater blessing is coming as i struggle with the changes. i love You Lord

You need God to have life, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

God came to forgive your sins so that you can be saved (John 3:16-17), and freely gives forgiveness of sins simply for the confession of Him and His work of salvation "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

As for anyone who tells you otherwise, "Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?" (Isaiah 2:22).

Any suggestion that your works save you or condemn you is forbidden by God (Galations 1), because"it is by grace you have been saved, through faith

Carie and her fiancee made it safely. the day before they left was the storm that shut down most of the airports on the east coast. today Carie experienced the worst turbulance she has had yet on the way home.

Brandon, Sandy, Elijah and i got caught in an ice storm traveling back to bath today- 5 cars off the road just in between one exit ( 5 miles) two of which we stopped at to make sure the passengers were okay. ( the rest were already being helped) we got off and took the backroads and made it to bath safely.

Brandon and Sandy and Elijah tried to make it back home on the backroads but decided to stay in dansville ( about 1/2 hour from here usually) as it took them 1 1/2 hour just to make it that far safely. Sandy's mom lives there so they have a place to stay. They would like to be able to make it to church tomorrow ( still 1 1/2 hour away on a good day) as Brandon is part of the worship team and Sandy teaches sunday school. continued prayers for their journey tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Thank You Lord for allowing BB and her group to start relationships, plant seeds. Lord bless your people there and Lord if it is your will pave a way for BB to be able to lead the next group for Your glory Lord Jesus Amen.

BB and her team have been on other mission trips before mostly the work and witness that many are familiar with in other countries. this time they went to encourage fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord that meet in "house churches" and to build relationships. BB was really moved by her trip and has been greatly moved by the people there. soon a new "new leader" of these missions and BB would very much like to take her turn if it is the Lord's will. Would you please pray both for the Christians there and for the Lord to raise up a mission leader here to continue these missions of encourgement and relationship building? thank you.

THANK YOU all my brothers and sisters who have been keeping me in prayer for this last month and PRAISE GOD THAT HE IS SO VERY WONDERFUL.

Ok in the hope that others who are going through a testing time may have hope.....

BAD NEWS

I taught autistic children for almost 20 years ... in that time, with loads of prayer and Gods grace we saw more than half of the children improve to the point that they could access " main stream " school and the lives of many families changed as they learned that they didnt have to hide away / worry always for these children. However you dont do that without making some people angry ( those that you cant help as well as those that want to cut the budgets year after year especially ) One of the people that I upset decided to make a complaint that I was not willing to work with her. I understand that she was angry and upset and didnt mean any harm but her complaint opened the door for " an investigation" that was used to get me out and put in a less expensive teacher. This was the start of an almost 6 year nightmare that ( Please God ) ended this week.

As is normal if a complaint is made about anyone working with vunerable children the police were called in to investigate and found NOTHING wrong.. however pressure was brought to bear on the head teacher who suspended me ( on full pay ) and tried every way he could to get " evidence " that I had done something wrong. He was not supposed to conduct the investigation himself but after a SECOND police investigation cleared me AGAIN he started to put pressure on people to give evidence against me, when the things they said were proved to be lies/ impossible he went back and told them what was wrong and got them to change their statements. He " lost " evidnce that would have proved that what he was saying was not right, " coached " his " witnesses " in what they were to say, banned parents that were vocal in their support of me from the school and refused to speak to others who supported me ( he had one " escort " sacked as she wouldnt back down) Sound far fetched ? Yes it did to me too, I couldnt believe what was happening and what was being said, people I had worked with for years and been friends with turned against me. one left her job rather than do so but was warned she was not allowed to contact me or she would lose her pension and the sadest part of all was that the woman who had started all this commited suicide by jumping in front of a large lorry on the motorway ...poor woman PLEASE pray for her.

Anyway after three years of this I was offered early retirement with a very good " settlement " as long as I signed that I would not go to court and sue them over this.... I agreed as I had had enough by now and knew I could never go back to teaching after this as well as wanting to keep this stress from my elderly parents who would have been so angry and upset.

After I had agreed the whole thing was investigated by the children commission ( again standard ) who found that I had done nothing wrong and was not prevented from teaching or working with children or vunerable people. However I had and still have NO desire to return to teaching so I resigned my registration and thought it was all over......

Well someone really wanted to get to me as the teaching council then decided THEY wanted to hear it all again... why I do not know as I am no longer a registered teacher so I refused to go to yet another farce. They held it anyway and since there was little news that week it was blazed all over the local television station .. well one version of it was nothing about how we had proven the lies just the accusations ... Then this week they held the last part of the nonsense and decided that I was to be banned from teaching for 3 years ( not for anything I had done but because I refused to go and explain my side yet again ) ... what a lot of nonsense as I am not longer registered to teach anyway and this has cost the education service ( that is under pressure to cut costs as is every other government department ) around

They are correct. Religion is man trying to reach God through their own understanding and because of this, they fall short of being real Christ centered believers. There is no reason to defend religion, but do defend our relationship with God. Remind your group of the difference between the two and show them that true Christ centered believers bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. To show them scripture describing the two, read them Galatians 5:16-26 (New King James Version)

Walking in the Spirit

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
