  1. blessings sister,

yes there have been many wars in the name of various religions throughout the ages. there have also been various "undeclared wars" against people in their own countries and other countries as well. once heard the statistics for just the deaths stalin was responsible for against his own people which superceded the "crusade" deaths in a big way. there are and have been tribal wars/ territory/political wars just as blood letting.

i would tell them that wars will continue and that peace will not truly be established on earth until after the seven years of tribulation has occured and the Lord has returned to reign and rule in His Righteousness and power for a thousand years when God creates a new heaven and earth.

ggbrown2: Hi Rebeka, I came in to tell you all that she has had two lots of surgery and that she was moved out of Intensive care this morning. I want to thank our wonderful God for his healing, and to all the people who prayed for her.

  3. Under the watchful eye of the 'Thought Police' this Winter Festival Season, let us all sing this Politically Correct seasonal sonnet:

    HAVE A RAMA-HANUK-KWANZ-MAS

(To the tune of "Have a Holly-Jolly Christmas")

My husband went into Petsmart this year, and saw signs for Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanza, and Happy Holidays. He was most ticked by that. And really, they were able to mention the other holidays, and since they have Christmas type pet gifts, why cant they say Merry Christmas anyway.

    /end rant

good question jade shows clear discrimination which is illegal but they probably would pull down the other signs before adding a sign about Christmas.

  4. blessings,

I have it on the highest authority that:

    Genesis 1

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

    Genesis 2

1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. 4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

5And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

8And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

    John 1

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

18No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. 19And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?

20And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.

21And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

22Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?

23He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

24And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.

25And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

    26John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;

27He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.

28These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 30This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.

31And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

32And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

33And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

34And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

  5. I would venture to say that only those who study and believe biblical prophesy know the extreme danger that Islam and it's "Allah" pose to the western world. We know where events are headed and we are prepared. Praise the Lord!!

    Amen! i agree

  6. Blessings,

i think i can understand what benjamin is saying if us is a country then yes if us is me then no for Christ has the victory not Islam. i am not saying not to warn others about it or sit on my hands here just acknowledging that Christ is the ultimate victor.

  7. blessings Nebula,

neat pictures. i did see probably the same type of thing on fractional geometry patterns. it was my understanding from what i saw that the pattern in fractional geometry was exact when comparing one thing with another except with a size difference. For example they were studying the pattern of a rain forrest and the pattern of a leaf of on one of the trees in it i think at the time (could be wrong on that it was a long time ago the forrest pattern i remember but not sure about the smaller pattern).

    interesting.

  8. Blessings,

just some points to ponder flee where? at least two of the countries mentioned as okay because of their stance on abortion really stand out for other things that the Lord calls sin. El Salvador do you think the Lord has forgotten the bloodshed there of men woman and children? Venezula is a communist country that is helping Russia arm Syria and Iran and has backed a terrorist group that has cause death and destruction in its neighbor Columbia. do you think the Lord will overlook that because of their stance on abortion?

In order to come out of a country that is evil and flee to one that is not evil you will need to find the country that is perfectly obedient to the Lord or you are just trading one country's sin for another country's sin. If you find one that is please let me know and i will join you there but i honestly do not believe that will happen brother until the Lord returns.

    tiptoes out of the thread.

  9. How do you worship angels?

    blessings,

some people in the Bible fell down etc some people now pray to them, focus on them instead of the Lord etc. sis we are not supposed to that is the point that i think people are warning about. To God be the glory!

  10. A year and a half ago, the Lord decided our little church needed to host a food pantry. He picked myself and a sister from the church to head up His pantry.

We decided from the beginning that there would be no requirements to receive food packages. In all things we are called to do, we must glorify the Lord, so we greeted the guest in Christs name, passed out tracks, christian books and bibles. The pantry grew, attendance increased, money and food donations increased and the Lord even found a way for the food bank to donate food to us via a third party( the food bank in this area does not allow evangelism if they provide food).

The people attending the pantry were grateful, thanking us and the Lord and a few even praised His name. Then things slowly began to change. The people began to get demanding, they quit saying thank you, we no longer heard them praise His name. One Sunday in particular was the worst, several came with alcohol on their breath and one was literally falling down drunk, several quests took portions of the prepared food( we serve a meal along with the packages) to adult folks waiting for them in their car.

At this point the Lord showed me that we were now failing at our mission, that being that they should hear His word.

So, I had a meeting with the pastor. We now require the guests to attend a brief gospel presentation by our pastor before receiving the prepared meal and food packages...and we now allow them to literally shop for their food. It is set up for them to walk down 2 aisles and pick what items they want, the quantity only being limited by the number in their family.

I will tell you honestly that I was very nervous, myself forgetting that it was and is the Lords pantry, thinking that with the added requirement no one would show up. well , I was wrong.

The first Sunday 12 families showed up, pretty much the same as on the very first day we opened. The next Sunday, 17 people showed up, so now I'm back to worrying if we will have enough food in 3 or 4 months...I never learn, He always provides.

I will also ad that a number of the guest have told us they like the change, one even stated that "we need to hear this stuff". Every one of the brethren I spoke with approved of the decision; out of all the people I spoke with, only one voiced mild opposition.

In no way do I brag, but praise His Holy name, we started with nothing and we now have over one thousand dollars in the bank and so many food items we now are setting up a system to donate food to one of the government housing apartment buildings for the aged and disabled.

As yet, I have not seen a truly needy person refuse the gospel message.

I could go on and on with all the little things that have shown me that we are being obedient to our Lord in His ministry. I'm sure the church you were speaking of went through the same learning process we did.

It's not a catch really, but a double blessing, learning of a faithful loving God, who shed His own blood that you might have eternal life in glory.... and a free meal.

food for more than the the body! excellent idea!

    love your sister in Christ,

    Rebekah David

  11. blessings,

angels and demons (fallen angels) are entirely different i agree strongly with other one on this tho they can also be seen as a spirit of light as stated in the Bible.

i agree with other one for the most part. angels can take on many forms both seen and unseen as shown in the Bible. Seen sometimes they appear as human or in their spiritual state. in their glorified spiritual state many people in the Bible were first afraid of them and then prone to worship them the angels quickly addressed both these points do not be afraid and do not worship.

as shown in the Bible unseen sometimes animals can see them sometimes the Lord will open our eyes to see them as well.

    angels do not posses people.

DR. David Jeremiah is doing a good study on them you may want to consider looking at that.

  12. I am feeling so wowed!

Last night, I was at a prayer meeting that showed the video Indescribable with Louie Giglio (he founded the Passion Conferences, if you heard of them).

The website for Passion actually has this on the web if you want to view it.

To show you what I mean, I'll present a segment:

After a brief into. to the wonders of how big the universe is (we actually call it the "known" universe because we haven't built telescopes big enough to see what else is out there!), he presents the dilemma of scientists and others about whether or not there are more habital planets in the universe. The chief argument for in favor of this is:

If the universe is simply a habitation for you and for me, then it's way oversized.

    Louie argues back:

"But what if the primary purpose of the universe is not to be a home for you and for me, but what if it's primary purpose is to show off the splendor and the majesty and the greatness and the glory of the God who created it all? Then the universe is not too big at all! The universe is just about the right size after all."

    :emot-heartbeat:

If you are up to the challenge of feeling small - and I mean really, really small - see and hear where he goes from there.

    See video here

bumping for those who have not watched it yet.

  13. praying sis *hugs.

you need both power of attorney and health care proxy those are two different things. as a health care proxy you can be informed of any treatment change and medical condition for your mom as power of attorney you will have the right to read and review everything that they are now asking her to sign. be very specific with both that they should take effect now. it would be wise to seek out legal aid to help you to make sure the paper work for that is correcly filled out and witnessed by both you and your mom. if you do not have it take effect immediately they can wait until your mom is deemed"unfit or unable" to put it in place and that could end up as a court battle.

  14. blessings,

    God's Word refudiates this comment:

"was characterized by Jesus as being on the side of man.

Luke 22: 31And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

  15. blessings,

good post, i think too often people tend to focus on grunbling about their circumstances ( especially here were daily life is much easier in many ways than our brethern in chains) instead of counting blessings and praising the Lord. a good reminder for us all. *sings count your blessings- thank you for your post.

  16. terrible

    rest

    prolonged

    clearcut

    not welcome

Just highlighting what you have and see why...

I feel awkward staying at the house of my brother, who was the caregiver of dad and resented my 'not helping'...even though I can barely function daily with this disease! My brother's ongoing bitterness over that is evident in that he refuses to even speak to me on the phone. Meanwhile, another close relative with a violent temper has screamed horrible things at me on the phone for hours and even threatened me. I am scared to face this person.

Plus, my disease causes me to make loud involuntary noises which I can not control. Like belching and hiccups that make me sound like a seal. This would be disruptive to the funeral and embarrassing to my family. For they have not yet witnessed me in my full blown distorted face twisting spasms or these sounds, because my visit to dad was so brief. So all would be shocked and I'm sure they'd be then wishing then that I'd never come. Please give me your thoughts on what you would personally do in this complicated predicament I'm in. Thanks. Time is running out and I'm mentally exhausted from the relentless indecision.

You're using your current condition to avoid... perhaps forgiveness which the Lord is using the situation to claim. Why are you afraid? The enemy will take advantage of what you give them..... and I believe your missing much healing (both physical and spiritual) because of your fear.

    blessings,

no offense but you are way off and clearly do not know our dear sister in the Lord to post what you posted. the fact that she would even consider such a trip despite her illness let alone the other multi level complications and is seeking councel from the Lord and His people shows she is not trying to avoiding anything.

    love your sister in Christ,

    Rebekah David
