I have to admit I agree with you here...which is why I am no longer a believer. I refuse to hold a world view that states that my assessments of religion or philosophy can't be wrong. After much studying, reading and thought...I was persuaded that the Bible is not the word of God and changed my views. I could have just maintained my course and refused to allow anything to change my mind, but that's not how my mind works. One other thing brother.. If you not a "believer" any more, then what do you owe our existiance ? How did we get here ? Evolution? You must know the problems of evolution? Bonky: I hear you, however, the very nature of truth stipulates that if something is true, something else must be false. Of all the worlds religions, they all can't be true truth because they all say diametrically opposing things. The law of non contradiction comes into play and will not allow this. Only one world religion can be true or they are all wrong. I to after much study and thought have concluded that the bible IS the word of God. I investigated "problems with scripture" for 3 years and found a good answer to every question and issue. I give up now trying to stump God. I made this a few years ago Whats yor biggest hurtle? The bible has to be correct on all or God is useless. If God cannot supernaturally make and preserve his instructions for man, then he is incompetent and not worth of following. If the bible is significantly wrong then we have not much to worry about in my opinion. However, the evidence shows it is correct and it is man who,has the mixed up reality. Peace

That's why I previously embraced Noah's Flood as a large local flood covering the Mediterranean and Black Seas because the people of that time did not understand the concept of a round Earth. The same word is used for land as earth which makes the understanding of a local flood possible. And several books have been written about a large, but local flood in the area and well beyond. But this science news has given me cause to re-evaluate this position.
