  1. Here is some advice Paul gave to Timothy regarding the last days. ...IN VIEW OF HIS APPEARING and HIS KINGDOM, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situation, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist,...2 Timothy 4:2-5. I think it's good advice. Great posts Dad Ernie. In Christ, CarolineS
  2. I'm glad to see you all have a sense of humor. I apologize for contributing to the changing of this topic from its original question. We now have another debate on the timing of the rapture. This could go on forever, or until the end of the age. I think previous post's have listed much scripture which points to the post-trib. belief. I suggest you re-read them. I do have a comment on Rev. 3:10: Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. Christ is telling the Philadelphian overcomers that because of their perseverance, He "will keep them from the hour of testing". "Keep," in this context, translates a Greek verb that carries the basic idea of protection while within a sphere of danger, and "from," a bad translation of the Greek word ek, has the basic meaning of deliverance "out of" or "out from within" this dangerous time. If you translate the Greek in its most customary meaning, God promises faithful churches that because of their perseverance, He will guard them while they are within this "hour of testing," promising them eventual safe deliverance "out from within" this time of great danger. Christ will return and bring the great tribulation to an abrupt end at His second coming, then he will pour out his wrath on the wicked who remain on earth. So in a way you guys are right. God will not pour out his wrath on his faithful bride. We will be raptured out of here. You almost have it. :il: In Christ, CarolineS
  3. Dad Ernie, I agree with you. The pre-trib. belief is false doctrine and heresy. It will lead many astray when the antichrist appears on the scene. Many who believe in the pre-trib. rapture won't recognize what is happening and will go along with policies that are introduced. I think the pre-trib. doctrine is part of the deception that will be present in the last days. Want proof? Just go to any bookstore, make that a christian bookstore, and try to find a book that teaches the post-trib. doctrine. You might get lucky and find one author that endorses this belief. All the other authors will support the pre-trib. doctrine. Satan loves it when false doctrine enters the church and is accepted as truth. He doesn't want God's people to know the truth. He doesn't want us to be prepared for the tribulation. All one has to do is pick up the Bible and read the book of Daniel. Read Daniel chap. 3. The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego going through the fiery furnace is a prophecy in itself. We will also go through a fiery testing. But Jesus has promised to be with us, just as he was in the furnace with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They were'nt raptured before being tossed in, they went THROUGH the fire; and so will we. Jesus said, "I am with you always, even until the END of the age." Ok, that's my 2cents. Go Dad Ernie, keep telling the truth!! In Christ, CarolineS
  4. I will be praying for little Elianna and you and Rivka. 1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you. Isaiah 41:13 I am holding you by your right hand - I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, Do not be afraid. I am here to help you. May God stengthen you and comfort you in this time. Blessings, CarolineS
