If you don't have any family roots, what some christians i have known/been aquainted with, have just moved. gone far away, and started over again. im not saying that as an imperative, but if its causing friction in your church, like it was in mine, then leave. If not, then only you two need to know about it. Dont let it out, just tell god and ask for forgivness.

Why are we all so pro israel here?
Daniel9601 replied to Daniel9601's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Well, the IRA comes from ireland, but it doesnt mean ireland itself is at war with Britain, but i more or less accept your logic. There are undoubtedly terrorists coming into palestine from outside palestine, from arab countries, but those countries may not be happy with it. Pakistan is an ally of america, and some terrorists come out of it, but they would prefer it if those terrorists didn't. to say that 55,000,000 is a bit of a generalisation, the muslims might 'say' we're against Israel, but not to the point of death. They might not all be terrorists, is the conclusion of muslim arabs. -
Gog and magog were the Assiryans of the north, they invaded and Israel went into Exile, and then Ezekiel said they'd come back, and they did. if i saw a prophecy saying something along the lines of "and in the northwest the tribes of the far east (mongol and hun descendants) will persecute my people," or something referring to Europe and the Germans then i might consider differently the prophecies of Israel. But again, Ezekiel only talks of the exile and return from and to babylon (baghdad, Iraq)

You also love quoting (theatrically) that Israel is outnumber 100 to 1. Not really, who is at war with Israel at the moment? Palestine, and maybe Lebanonn, so Lebanonn and Palestinian populations added together is still more or less equal, but definatley NOT as you claim "100 to 1" So its maybe 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 but not 100 to 1, it shows Israel's agression to the arab countries to not even know whether it is at war with any of them or not. -
After Ezekiel said the jews would come home, they did. When is the prophecy after that? The chronology goes: Exodus to babylon, prediction of return from babylon (prophecy fullfilled), exodus from the years c70-1900's, but there was no prophecy, one cant use ezekiel again

It was said in the book Exodus by Leon Uris. I cant get a refernce to that because i cant upload the text. But assume its true, and its not very crucial whether its true or not. "proove that i am daniel" irrelevant question, no i cant proove i am him, in a short space of time. I would need passport reference numbers. Like i do with this example. Proove its "nots true" like Oveda's argument about "proove israel doesnt have divine origins?" i'll use his logic, he's a worthy watcher. he must be right.

Dont mention northern Ireland. Thats just not what happens. The peace talks between the IRA and the UK are still on going, but there is a peace process and there is no fence being built around the catholics. The catholics dont have to be checked whenever they cross the border into northern ireland, if a catholic is comparable to a palestinian (which it cant be) and the UK is comparable to Israel (which it cant be) in this situation then your statment would be nearly true. But no. You really dont know anything about Ireland, about 'the troubles' the IRA have a policy never (except the Omagh bombing, prosecuted and ended) to kill civilians, so, consequently the british and protestants dont have to do so either. The IRA target government buildings, police stations in particular. The ideology is the same between the palestinians, and the IRA, accept the Catholics (generaly republican leaning) and the protestants (generally loyalist) get on fine. its a government war and they dont get involved. Their are no bias soldiers who are protestant who would turn a blind eye to protest atrocites (there are none), like there is in Israel: Israel IDF soldiers. The soldiers in ireland are british, foreigners really. If you know of ANY crimes the british commited on a scale comparable in the least to the IDF please tell me, i have relatives who lived there, and they didn't know of any? tell me please, surely, you didnt say that out of ignorance, did you? remember who said that in the thread "hamas doesnt want peace with israel yet palestinians do?" remember? you said that quote. So, practice what you shout. You havn't offered a shred of evidence for your claims about England. But this isnt about england its about your integrity, which is lowered because of what you said about the UK's handling of ireland. -
Does ur friend know?

Becuas they refer to the OT and 2500 years ago. Jesus new convenant meant that Israel was no longer the holy land, every land was, the Jews didnt need to worship at the temple, he tore the curtain (to the sanctuary of god, only priests could enter there) and abolished the need for priests. He took away the need to worship exclusivley at Jerusalem, and gave the inheritance to the nations, he died for sins so that sacrifices wouldnt need to made to his father. He took away all the things Jews needed to do, and there were no imperatives to stay in Israel, "go forth and make disciples of all nations," and thats where Christianity takes over from Judaism. Jesus fullfilled the law and showed us a better way to do things. Sure in Ezra, Neihmiah and the other prophets speak of Israel being reunited, by it 'was' reunited, and the people disobeyed god almost as soon as they got back to Israel. I dont think one can just copy and paste what was said about Israel as compared to what is happening now in the twentyfirst century

Some parts of Islam are rather compartative to parts of christianity. But not much. I read the Qu'ran to see what Islam has to say. Not to say what i think it says, just to get a better understanding of the muslims.

Id die and i reckon id go to heaven, in god in trust that hope. Its ironic to bash palestinians for claiming 4000 yr old descendance, but the jews are almost the same. Most jews of modern Israel came from Ukrain, the USSR, Poland, and Germany. Europeans mainly. So it further shows a foreign invasion by Jews of a land that once was given to them by god, but now they had to take it themselves. -
Well yes indeed, most Scholars know the link between Palestine and the Philistines, but few know the arab link. The Sinai Peninsula, or Ara-bia was designated to the people of that area. But unless the Philistines hold direct hereditary lineage to their predesecors, then they're most likely arab/muslims, invaders to the area in 7a.d I do agree with the jews over the fact that god gave them their land, to moses, 3m ago, but, i havnt seen the modern moses leading his people back to Israel now. I havn't seen any wonders like biblical times to lead me to beleive that this is Israel's 2nd returning

thats quite a large fruit of christian thinking id say?

I know a lot about various parts of the world, and that originally Jews were offered a homeland in Ugandad by the British. But, due to no biblicial references in Uganda the Jews said no. They were also offered Argentina, or somewhere in Latin America.

Classic "lets imagine Daniel is dumb, then shout at him for an assumption 'we' made" there are no other ways to god. just jesus.

im not French but i am fluent in French. Spanish and English. What about the wall Israel has built? Not between Israel and palestine, but between palestine and istself, why? Yes i certainly do agree with most of Shilo's said, Palestinians just getting it all wrong. Calling themselves Arabs is funny; a name given by romans to the people of the Suez peninsula, ara-bia.

y- -e -seh Look yes to all. Christ Jesus saved me from, some say drugs, some say sex, but i say he saved me from nothing. He saved me from boredom, he saved me from a life that MEANT nothing. I wasn't in despair, i wasn't at the end of my road, quite the opposite i was looking forward to a bright future and a rich career (none of which i hope for now), so i wasn't that bad, then i met a pensioner, who told his story which was much like mine (the one i was hoping of living), full of money and a nice house, and long and interesting life story, and then he died the next week. It hit me that he, like myself had hoped to live a good life, and he HAD, and i was hoping that i was going to, but i realised HE DIED, it WAS OVER, THE END! HES DEAD NO ONE CARES ABOUT HIM!!! But with jesus there is no end. I wont die and then that'll be it, just imagine, how meaningless my life would have been, it wwouldn'thave MATTERED if i was good, no one would CARE if i was a murderer, with judgement comes significance of a lived. God will ask me at the end of my life, what did you do with the 10,000 talents i gave you? Jesus gave me meaning and code to be answered by. If there was no Law, or God, or Jesus, then theres nothing to be worried about, who will we answer to? Now that jesus is here (well, he always was, it MYSELF that wasn't WITH HIM!) i cant say "Oh im sorry i didn't know!" at the gates of hell there will be much gnashing of teeth and "i knew you jesus!" and jesus will say "i don't know you?" also there will be many people that claim they don't know jesus, and will say to him "who are you?" I don't want to be a non-knower living out a happy (irrelevant) life. So my testimony isn't about how he saved from a bad life, but he saved me from a meaningless life. -
indeed. Infact, really, Islam and Chrisitianity are only the same in life standards; lets be nice, and try not to do wrong things. And in what religion are these bad things to try and atain? Correct to everything else you have said, i agreed with it anyway. Those core issues on jesus are what sets us apart.

Daniel9601 replied to Daniel9601's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Well id say nebula answered my questions concisely. Thankyou, it has cleared the issue up for me, because no one in England knows ANYthing about Israel AT ALL, not NOTHING. Which is why i came this website for answers to questions no one knew about. The only question remains, if they [israel] were god's people, why would god allow stray bullets to harm civilians, why would he want his people to have a bad name? PS: demonic is spelt "daemonic" Lets not be immature and go into spelling issues please... -
That is true, and i have read the book by Zion Ben Gurion (fictional characters real events) "Exedos" set in that period, but it didnt go into great detail. Would it be fair to say, that the Palestinians are more united now? and they are trying to throw off Israel just as they did the British?

To be honest i dont think much of England either. Its going downhill and its led by an idiot who doesn't pay enough attention to home affairs. I think Jack Straw (foreign secretary, apporixamtley no.3 in the government) is a better man to lead my country. I hold no national pride so dont worry about critisising England. The only good trait the English have is self control in political debates; few people shout on TV, a general air of stand-offish people, we're excentric. Well, i agree more with your second sentence. The BBC is adept at reporting global news, but, of course the 'attidtude' and mood it sheds on the stories are, of course, questionable. I was on holiday. But im still not a muslim [terrorist] and may i make these few points on islam. I think there are many areas, which Christianity and Islam agree on. Women should dress modestly, and we should live a life in holiness and submission to God's will, and to quote the Koran "A good word is like a good tree whose root is firmly fixed, and whose branches reach to heaven; bearing fruit in all seasons by the permision of its Lord" Qur'an 14:245 I think this is much like the passage in Galatians on the fruits of the spirit, i cant remember the reference, but i know it by heart, my father taught it to me as a child: "The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithefulness, and self control. Against these there is now law," (NIV) Prayer and worship are pleasing to the lord also: Islam/christianity Those are good things in both Islam and christianity These (listed below) are bad things in islam/christianity Lying, stealing, disrespect of parents, extra-marital affairs, drugs, alcohol, gambling. Why? because they are harmful, and Allah/God doesn't want to see us harmed if he chooses to help it. Where Islam strays, distanceing itself from christianity, catastrophically is the definition of a martyr: Christianity: Gets killed for their beleifs Islam: Gets killed, whilst killing others GENERALLY So when a suicide bomber blows up [another] bus in Tel Aviv, im not nodding my head in agreement, im despairing at their defenition of a martyr.
