  1. Is it surprising that the anti-Trump fringe would now embark on slandering him in matters of relative bible prophecy?

Scurrilous agenda's equating a democratically elected Republican to an appointed national socialist in the secular forums. Now, the charge of possibly leading the nation into apostasy, as if that makes any sense whatever.

Everyone needs a hobby. Slandering a president isn't one to be proud of but there it is.

And thank God because it was no good thing that he posted here to begin with. ruck1b is clearly a very troubled person. Rather than let this thread stop moving forward due to focusing on his former actions and now departure, why don't we hold him in our prayers? And then move forward with the on topic topic?

  3. In the OT we are told no one could keep the whole of the law. For if they violated one tenet they violated all and all was lost.

How does someone think to teach, argue, resort to sarcasm in order to promote, the same thing under a new cover. It is beyond me and yet it seems to be cropping up all over the place far too frequently of late. Though it was foretold that there would be those who would seek to  bring false doctrine to the saints in order to mislead them. Maybe that's it. Maybe that's the purpose of all those false teachers out there. Proving in their efforts the truth of scripture for those saints that know the truth.

No Christian works to save themselves. We are saved by God's grace. I'll not go into the rest of it because the teachings of Christ are clear.

The thing legalists cannot seem to understand is the Holy Spirit convicts each of us in different ways.  Giller, if He's telling you to go full-tilt Judaism (unlikely, but who am I to say?), then obey that. The rest of us haven't gotten those orders.

I guess what drives me battiest about legalists is they insist that God makes each and everyone of us toe the same line, and they don't get why we push back against that thinking.

Oh well, not my circus, not my monkeys.

    Enjoy the thread, ya'll! :D

A Christian should prayerfully examine why he/she wants to experience lucid dreaming. If the motives are pure and include an understanding of the unreliable nature of dreams, it is probably nothing more than a harmless curiosity. It if becomes more than that or involves even the smallest hint of New Age or occult practices, it should be avoided.

According to this website lucid dreaming can be good.

And in case anybody was wondering the website i went to was this one: https://www.gotquestions.org/lucid-dreaming.html

So what do you think? Is lucid dreaming good as long as you pray first?

I think you're giving way too much power to the unconscious dream state.

  6. Reasoning with Iran wouldn't work in a case like this, nor would threats. There's a purpose to their saber rattling. And if all the country was vaporized in a retaliatory counter strike, that's not a deterrent either. Because the Iranians would have died as martyrs. Their god promises them instant paradise in a case like that.

All of this is pursued to usher in their own eschatology. The appearance of the 12th Imam.

I know what you are saying Shiloh, but in the bible, their is no evidence at all of God calling that month with that name, so something must of happened in the past for that to be.

Nope, I just love God that is all.

Fair enough. The calendar we follow today is a Gregorian Christian calendar. The former pagan calendar was Julian. God originated what we know as the days of the week numerically. ("On the first day God said...., etc....)

Why not satisfy yourself with the current Calendar in its entirety being a Christian one? The days of the week no longer merit pagan identity given that fact of todays counting. And if necessary just recall Genesis each day of the week so as to reiterate we are living in God's time.

This has got to be the most disgusting thing I have read.  At what point have you not have had access to any grants, scholarships or anything as a white male that would require special circumstances for you to get it?  Please give me something.  Stop pretending that this country wasn't built around race and the oppression of minority groups.   Stop pretending that European Americans have not always had a much easier route to navigate in America.

How many Black Lives Matter folks have you had the pleasure of talking with?  How many of them have you sat with to understand what the fight is about?  I'm sure not many at all just based on your blanket offense.  Also what lead to a person apart of the BLM movement telling you that your "white life didn't matter".  Why did they tell you that.  Did they just see you and say your life doesn't matter.  But I guess as long as the good ol European American says the bad black folks said something bad about them its true and inclusive of the whole movement.

I'm really hope you don't attempt to make this discussion any more outrageous. If there is anything I will not tolerate is this type of bull crap.  I will call you on it and rather bluntly.  America has always been for European Americans.  Why shouldn't there be something for white people.....there is more than enough and has always been more than enough and history is evidence of that.

I think you should step back and take a breath. Your offensive posturing isn't in keeping with the scriptures.

And there is no pleasure in speaking with a BLM member. They're racists! And they're funded in their endeavor by George Soros. Don't interject that hate group into this thread. It is off topic.

Milo Yiannopoulos's endeavor is not the first of its kind. The point is, race based, all races, scholarships are unfair.

  9. If the money for the wall would be calculated on the monies saved supporting illegals in America, they'd realize the money is there.

The detractors toward this project , like the retailer 84 Lumber and their Super Bowl commercial , don't realize the particulars here. It isn't an argument against immigration. It is a protection against illegal influx.

Conversely, Mexico's illegal immigration policy prosecutions are far superior to ours. I find that kind of funny.

Next time I need to post I'll post a reference to the link and just the link. See how that works. It could be your connection? I am not computer savvy so that is just a guess.

This is a good article on why one federal judge issuing an order that affects the whole country is a really bad idea.  And, as is pointed out here, it is becoming increasingly common.  The past two Presidents were restrained by individual judges as well.  I can't figure out how one judge can issue an order outside his or her district.   None of the EOs of GWB, Obama or Trump are unconstitutional.  I believe it's time to limit the power of federal judges to make or break laws.

    https://www.lawfareblog.com/case-against-national-injunctions-no-matter-who-president

Federal Judges cannot make a law. They can only interpret what is law. It is a separation of powers matter that saves the country from judges that would like to rule from the bench.

And as concerns the calendar, there may have been some type and shadow to this calendar, but would God really want his calendar replaced by a pagan calendar?

Are you a Jew? Do you know about the Jewish calendar you're advocating for the contemporary usage by all today?

Why not stick with the Gregorian Christian calendar that is in use today? It replaced the Roman Julian, named after Julius Caesar, calendar.

This is fake.  From what I've read muslims issued a fatwa against him and he stepped down for his own safety.  think about it; how would it benefit any of those people to overthrow him?  When something isn't logical it's probably also not true.

ISIS called pope Francis their number one enemy. ISIS also publishes their own magazine as a Jihadi recruiting tool and titled, Dabiq. Which is a location referred to in Islamic eschatology.
In that magazine they denounced pope Francis remarks about Islam being a religion of peace. Saying they are a religion of the sword.

What Francis is promoting about Islam is serving an agenda only he knows.

I wouldn't call this report fake. Rather, I'd wait and see what comes of this petition to president Trump.

Francis for too long has demonstrated himself to be aligned with Islam and ecumenism. Whereas Benedict was not so. I didn't believe the story about his retiring due to health reasons. Pope John Paul II was horribly infirm until the day he died in office. If anyone deserved to retire for the sake of failing health it was he.

THat is called "signature"......certainly you don't believe in reincarnation,I myself stopped for a double take when I read it......I'm taking it as "humor"though the quote  does suggest Hinduism                                                                                                          With love-in Christ,Kwik

I know what they were referring to. It's called and was intended to impart humor, not Hinduism. I'm Christian. The accusation that I would promote Hinduism is slander.

Can a christian celebrate christmas and easter knowing its all pagan?

Years ago a video rebuttal concerning this kind of claim appeared on a forum I was a member of. "Horus Ruins Christmas". No, they are not pagan.

As for the question itself, I believe it is an individual's choice. There is a camp that argues, no, Christians cannot celebrate Christmas nor Easter. And yet, millions of Christians do so every year.

It wouldn't matter if it were pagan in my opinion. Though they are not so. Because Jesus arrived in the world to inform pagans, a label that was applied to the first followers of Christ by the Romans because the first Christ followers worshiped one God and not a pantheon as did the Romans, that the only way to the true God was through him.

Jesus took the sins of the entire world, and all the false god's, goddesses, idols, upon himself on the cross as sins that his sacrificial blood would blot out for eternity. And God the father would remember those trespasses against his truth never again.

All that is required to be washed clean by that sacrifice is for people today to accept they are worth Jesus' dying for them. Renounce their worldly transgressions, accept Jesus as that which saves them through his blood and the message of the father, and repent of their fallen ways and predisposition to human nature.
They're then redeemed from that life where they were part of this world that satan influences for having been born into it and thus are his first. And they are reborn into the holy spirit of God, with Jesus Christ as their mediator for their entire life here on earth from then on.

Therefore, if a Christian celebrates Easter, it is celebrating all that it means concerning the risen Christ they worship. And if they celebrate Christmas, it is celebrating the birth of the savior of the world. The savior that is capable of saving pagans too. All they have to do first is know they are worth it.
