    When Jesus used the word salt He was speaking of flavoring in food, and that we also should add flavoring to our society.

    I don't know why your pastor should want you to pray against evil spirits in your house unless people are being attacked by the enemy there.  Sometimes if a house has been used for evil purposes we should cleanse it of any reference to its past and dedicate it to the Lord.  All things used for sorcery, any idols, or any unclean thing should be removed, especially because they may cause a weaker brother to stumble.

    Im sorry I should have been a little more specific. It was not my own pastor but another minister. I am very well aware of what the bible says about salt and us christians being the salt of the earth. I was just trying to figure if anyone was familiar with this being done and if it was sorcery. I already knew the enemy was attacking my family because God does not allow things to come upon me without revealing them to me and has already instructed me on this. Again i just wanted to know if anyone has ever heard of someone doing this. Thank you all for your responses tho.

  2. Does anyone know why a pastor would tell a person to get house to pray against evil spirits? I've heard of people using salt with scorcery but there were also many uses for salt in biblical days.

  3. Oh... I absolutely LOVED this! Rolling I will be reading your blogs. I have feasted. I now also know what is being required of me . This was a confirmation for me. I also love looking at each persons view of the scriptures as well thats why we must allow ourselves to be lead of the spirit. My only thing is instead of there being arguments about the events,  as "ONE" we should all agree on whats most important here, PREACHING CHRIST! Lets not look for excuses to procrastinate here (my perception) as far as im concerned Rolling you are on your job! The average person only lives about 75-80 years anyways and if you get longer your beyond blessed so there's no gaurantee anyone on here is going to be here for any of it anyways. I say start saving for your retirement now. LOL

    Again Thanks

    Tiffany, I am so glad that you have found this group. And thank you for your honesty.

    I see that you have already found a good group of support. It is great that we can be here for one another.

    There have been times, even of late, where life has seemed overwhelming. And being here, being able to pray for and encourage others has helped so much.

    Just a couple weeks back I remember being in tears as I spoke to God.

    I love that God knows what each of us are going through. And we can come to Him and share our pain.

    I, like others hete, am happy to encourage you.

    Psalm 139 is am amazing chapter. I love verse 14. "How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that."

    Blessings :)

    Than You. Your love and encouraging words a greatly appreciated?

    I am not sure there is a normal.   What is the age of the people in question? The answer would be different for someone in their 50s than in their 20s.   As people age some have less interest in such things.

    I think either time on spouse or the other has no interest in intimacy with their spouse there would be cause for concern.   The wife might think that she is no longer physically attractive, or she might suspect cheating.

    A lot depends on the communication level of the couple.  For the first decade of my marriage (or longer if you ask my wife :laugh:) I was terrible at expressing my feelings to her, especially feelings that were negative or seemed "weak".  This was the result of my upbringing and being a Marine. But it caused problems and I had to get over it.

    :emot-hug: What is your first name? I do not want to name you as Broken when I pray to the Father for your peace. God loves you and God is all there is everywhere that is. You are never alone because God is within all of his creation. We are made in his image and likeness. Talk to him. Just talk out loud, or silently to yourself. Unburden yourself and open all that bothers you to him. He knows it all anyway. Because he is omniscient. That means, eternally knowledgeable. There is no shame before God because God sees you. :) Let it all go. That which makes you think it is such a heavy load to carry that you would rather leave this God given life than to heal, release your woes, and live it. Rather than just exist within the world itself.

    “It is God who works in you both to will and do for you His good pleasure.”  (Philippians 2:13)

    Do you have a church you can go to? A pastor? Christian friends? Family that is empathetic, sympathetic to your troubles?

    :emot-hug::emot-heartbeat:

    I am praying for you now. :th_praying: Don't do it! You are a one of a kind. Your troubles are temporary. You are unique and when you do grow old and pass away there will never be another you in this world ever again. You are a gift of God to this world. A blessed treasure of his making. Here as part of his divine plan that he appointed you for. That is AWESOME! :)    And that makes you lovable and special and blessed.

    Just as a extra sharing here, these are Christian suicide help lines that you can consider. Are you in the United States?

    As a friend for The Spirit of Christ that lives within me 'IS' the friend of sinners of whom we are part...
    Take your eyes off the problems -all of them- examine what remains... then know the problems are hiding this from you so that you are not thankful for life! This is satan's design so that you miss the wonder of God Who out of His marvelous Person made these things originally for us in Love... truth that sets free is that we might know Him and turn to Him to be made new

    2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

    [17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

    [18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

    [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

    [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

    [21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

    Love, Steven

    Thank You Steven. My name is Tiffany?

    Praying for you, sir or ma'am...perhaps I should say brother or sister. You are among family here! God bless you!

    Thank You. I am a ma'am?

  11. Wow! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I was beginning to think there was no one left with this much love?. I have been truly encouraged and reminded of many things given in scripture. My life is in such a complicated place right now. A place I've never been. I'd began to give up on the body of Christ and having genuine support. But all of you have allowed me to see there is a remnant. Thank You all so much for the love and support. A special Thanks to Mr. Wingnut- who talk me through some things last night. Your truly one of God's called.? I feel so blessed right now.
