we were only 6 blocks from the owner.  Kids had come around asking if anyone had seen it a couple of days before so we tried asking neighbors.  Someone knew someone who got in touch with the owner.  He was glad to see her and started talking.  But a few weeks later her husband gave an ultimatum, him or the bird.  The bird was jealous and attacked him whenever he came home--he was a long haul truck driver.  She asked us if we wanted to buy him for $800. but our dogs hated the bird and we didn't want it to attack them or my husband.  It was a lot of money for us, as well.  We love birds outside but not so much inside.  Clipping wings only affects flight feathers and they grow back when molted.  If I were ever to get a parrot, he is the one I want.  So sweet.  He is the one who gave the dogs at his house commands and the dogs obeyed him.  I think they had a rottweiler and a chihuahua.

what happens when there molted?  i would have taken him lol :emot-cheering:  can they survive in the wild after being pets?

When you don't clip their wings they fly out the door and end up spending the night in our yard.  The African Gray was so sweet and didn't want me to stop petting him.  But he made an awful mess with the dried fruit and nuts we gave him.

lol i bet  he\shes gorgeous! did the owners find their bird in the end?
