  1.  Health Update: First thank you for all of the prayers! I really appreciate each and everyone of them and you! (((Hugs)))  I was able to go to my doctor today. My IBS is flared up, along with my scalp Psoriasis and HS. She also feels the pain and swelling in my abdomen is centered around the spleen, because when she pushed there it felt as if she was stabbing me. She ordered an ultrasound of my spleen to go along with the ordered ultrasound of my gallbladder for elevated liver enzymes. The plan is to get that done Friday.  God is with me even through difficulties! Have a blessed day!

  2. I have Hidradenitis Suppurativa, also known as HS.  It's a very complicated chronic inflammatory skin condition with boil like bumps/lesions that are very painful, can tunnel, and be hard to get rid of.  In 2014 I had to have surgery for one that burst in my left armpit that had left a hole.  The packing and recovery was painful and long.  This morning, I had something similar happen in my right armpit, but it does not appear to be as big of a wound. I also burned my right hand taking lasagna out of the oven this week, am having a scalp psoriasis flare up, and I've been battling a swollen abdomen on the left side.  I have a doctor's appointment later today to get the ultrasound of my left abdomen ordered.  It's very cold here in Ohio today, in the negatives and feels like -40 with the wind chill.  I am not feeling the best and don't want to go outside, but know I need to go.  All prayers are appreciated!  Thank you for all who will join me!  God bless you!  ❤️  Job 1:21 "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart.  The Lord gives and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

Hi Gem. That's great that you are feeling better. The Job 1:21 explains things so clearly! Reminds me of the song "Blessed be the name of the Lord". I love that song. I will continue to pray for you, and yes, he is right there by your side.

    Pickles,

I hope that you are having a blessed start to the week!  :) I like that verse in Job cause it reminds me that no matter what situation we are in to still give God praise and to trust Him.  I like that song as well, "Blessed be the name of the Lord."  Thank you for the continued prayers as they are most appreciated!

    In Christian love always, Gem

Glad your a bit better.  Did you go to doctors today too?  Love ya back Gemmie and thanks.    I will keep praying for you.  Big hug.

My doctor splits her time between 2 offices an hour away.   She won't be in until Monday, (the receptionist had her schedule mixed up when she told us initially over the phone,) and needs to see me before making the addition to the order.  Since the other ultrasound for elevated liver enzymes was not urgent, I decided to wait and do them both at once.  Hoping to get it in this coming week though.  I don't feel dehydrated like I was, and have been able to keep my food/fluids down.  The swelling is down some, and the pain is a lot better.  All are good signs that the flare up is improving!  Thank you for your continued prayers!  ((((Hugs back at ya!)))  ❤️

Personally, I do not think that accurately reflects what is going on here. Jesus did not have questions about what He was there for, He knew His mission was to come and die on the cross. I also, do not think there was any form of doubt, Jesus was not lacking in faith, whatever is not of faith, is sin (Rom 14:23).

My personal belief, is that Jesus is quoting a Messianic psalm, a prophecy, to point the witnesses and us, to this as a fulfilment.

With Jesus I understand why you would say that because He knew all since He and the Father are one.  I didn't mean to imply that He had doubts of God's plan as the others did, more just that he didn't want to feel the pain/suffering.   I think it was more of a rhetorical question for him, but it it didn't negate the suffering that he would like to have avoided if possible.  He was human when He came to earth, and what I was trying to show that even with His perfection and being God in the flesh, He struggled with the task before Him cause he had the same emotions that we have even though He dealt with His perfectly.  He still completed it, and He was without sin, but He had the emotions that we have.  If He hadn't, He wouldn't of cried/lamented and asked God to take the cup from Him.  He felt pain, and He knew very well the pain that He was going to endure for the sacrifice of our sins and the sins of the world.  I definitely don't think Jesus was lacking faith cause He couldn't of done what He did without faith, especially when He had the power to prevent/stop it from happening.  As always, I enjoy hearing your thoughts and insights!  Love ya brother!  :)

Oh Gemmie so sorry to hear this.  Praying for God's healing.

Thank you Twin!  My health has been doing so well since Fall time, but not sure if the weather (we had a foot of snow/negative temps/now it's raining and changes in weather can cause a flare up), moving preparation/work, or something else causing it.  I appreciate you and the prayers!  ❤️

Praying.   Gemstone said she has had better health in this season then she normally has had for many years.  Praise the Lord!

You all touched my heart!  I didn't know all the people on here were praying for me and the other Mods.  I'm not on the forums as much as I am in chat and Tuesday/Thursday Prayer Group.  I've had a good season of health, but currently in a flare up and can use prayer.  We are hoping I can get into the hospital for an ultrasound of my swollen abdomen tomorrow or Friday.  Thank you!  Love you brothers and sisters in the Lord!  Keep pressing on!  Thanks Twin for your support of me!  I appreciate you!  ❤️

  14. Thank you so much for each of you that prayed!  Both of the first day appointments went well overall.  At the first one we went over my annual blood work results.  For the elevated liver enzymes, my doc ordered an ultrasound of my gallbladder, which I will probably schedule after the busy holidays.  She changed my BP meds, and I actually got taken off of one of my meds, (water pill.)  Anytime I can take less meds, that's a blessing!  :)  She addressed a few other issues, and we have a plan to keep me as healthy as we can with all of my health challenges.  One of the things I was most thankful for was my doctor's compassionate heart.  She really listened to me, and you could tell she really wanted to help me not suffer and feel better.  My former beloved doctor went to minister to our Vets at the VA, and this doctor is new to me, so I didn't really know how she would be.  She even gave me a hug at the end of our appointment!  After that, I went to the dentist.  They saw me right away, and I didn't even have to sit in the lobby, which was nice.  There were a few minor problems that occurred, but thank the good Lord they didn't bother me too much.  One was that when they took the temporary crown off, it wouldn't stop bleeding so I think they had to cauterize it.  I was not supposed to be numbed since I had a root canal on the tooth I was getting a crown on, but I had to get 2 needles in the roof of my mouth.  Normally that would hurt, but it wasn't bad at all!  Also, I was supposed to get a small cavity filled so I wouldn't have to go back, but their compressor was down so I will have to go in again.  I was in such good spirits (I know at the dentist can you believe it?, lol) joking and laughing that even those 2 mishaps didn't get me down.  My favorite line of the day since I was getting a crown, "It's not easy being queen!"  :)  Even one of the dental assistants that was not working on me came to hang out in my room we were having so much fun.  I really felt blessed by the Lord and even though dealing with something unpleasant, it was a good experience.  I am so glad to report these things to you, because this is the power of prayer and God!  I could have been anxious, sad, in pain, but instead I was joyful and at ease.  God is good, even in the midst of our sufferings!   I felt the covering of your prayers, and I am so grateful to all of you!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Update on 3rd Medical Appointment:  The dermatology appointment yesterday went well!  My scalp psoriasis is much improved, so the medicine appears to be working well, praise the Lord.  I was prescribed a new med for my HS in hopes of getting me out of a current flare up.  I also got a 2nd round of freezing with the warts on both middle fingers.  It's very painful to have this done, similar to touching dry ice.  Even though it says it's freezing, it feels as if it's burning.  I was able to share with the doc and nurse that how I combat the pain is to quote Scriptures to myself like in 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God did not give us the spirit of fear..." and pray.  Her eyes lit up and she said, "Whatever you are doing it's working, so keep it up!"  The doc said that's the worst place to get warts too because they are hard to get rid of.  Warts are viral, and I most likely contracted them while trying a new manicurist that had unclean nail tools.  My weakened immune system can make me more susceptible to contracting them.  I will try to keep you posted on my progress.  It really does mean so much to me that you would take a few minutes out of your day to lift me up in prayer!  Have a blessed rest of the week!  Love you friends!  ❤️
