So I've been watching some documentaries on TV about Syria and refugees fleeing their country by boat, travelling weeks to months by sea - crossing to Greece, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Estonia. Germany and even England.
Anywhere, just anywhere, they just want to get away from their devastated land - Babies, toddlers, children, old people in tow..... most do not wish to go back, Ever... Some were beaten, tortured by corrupt authorities.
Just when they thought crossing the sea was the hardest part they had to overcome, they end up facing more serious challenges - place to stay with kids, getting legal residency, facing discrimination for being Syrians, not able to find any jobs, separated from family, etc...
My heart broke, I cried... I told God I wish there was something I could do for them. They just want to live normal, peaceful lives. There are not terrorists and want nothing to do with terrorism nor radical Islam.
The documentary showed a British family opening their doors to one Syrian refugee, who later flew his wife and kids over. He's probably one of the few fortunate ones.
Should we as Christians open our doors to them ?
Would you trust a Syrian enough to help them and shelter them ?
I live in a country where there NO refugees whatsoever, so I really do not know what I'll do if I met refugees like that.

It feels impossible for me to have a normal life like everybody else, people have friends, take pictures, talk with each other, share feelings, etc.
I would like to have (real) friends, to talk, share my feelings, expose myself comfortably, etc... But it feels so hard I cannot make it, and if I do it I feel so bad I don't want to do it again.
It all seems of extreme complexity, living in society, building relationships, knowing people, do things in the right order and in the correct way on the streets and buildings... I cannot explain very well.
Wow, I can't believe I'm reading this... I'm going through the exact same thing, that is why I decided to try out this forum.
I've been alone and friend-less for a very long time and have more and less gotten used to it. My family members who are Non-believers think that I'm such a loser.
You know, I would really love to pray for you, however it's difficult to remember someone in prayers when your profile name is " 4LdKHVCzRDj2 ".
If you truly desire for friends, then I believe God will answer. But be wise because I know satan will bring you all kinds of bullies and abusers like he did to me.

Hi All,
Just wondering how many of us may be struggling with a chronic illness... If there is anyone that would like to chat, please let me know. I feel sometimes that just knowing there is someone else going through like circumstances can be so helpful in relieving a bit of the stress that chronic illness carries with it. A little understanding can go a long way! Praying for all of you.
Blessings in Jesus
Hello to you and all the rest reading this,
Yes I am one of them, or to put it more correctly, I used to be.
First and foremost, all of us need to understand that chronic illness is a CURSE. It's in Deuteronomy 28. Most of us only tend to read the first part of Deuteronomy 28 which talks about "Blessings for Obedience". That's great and all. But it behooves us to try and read the second part as well, which talks about "Curses for Disobedience".
For example,
----
21 The Lord will plague you with diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess.
22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish.
27 The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, festering sores and the itch, from which you cannot be cured.
35 The Lord will afflict your knees and legs with painful boils that cannot be cured, spreading from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.
60 He will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will cling to you.
61 The Lord will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.
-------
Whatever conditions described above , the devil is able to counterfeit them and afflict them on our bodies today, deceiving us to believe that we're cursed. But Christ Jesus has already redeemed us from ALL curses.
Galatians 3:13-14
"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. "
What are the blessings of Abraham?
Genesis 24:1
"Abraham was now very old, and the Lord had blessed him in every way."
including health.
We, as believers, must take authority over our sicknesses and diseases and uproot them. (Luke 10:19 , 17:6 ; Mark 11:24). And it is a persistent and continuous process until we see results.
Let the devil know that enough is enough, you are no longer under any curse, you are already redeemed by the Blood of Jesus, Who Himself took our infirmities and diseases (Isaiah 53 : 5). Command the pain to GO. Prophecy into your body or in the area that you need healing - for fresh new cells, tissues, tendons, ligaments, cartiledges to come into life supernaturally (Ezekial 37:4-6)
Matthew 4:23-24
"Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.
I guarantee you, if you hold on to your faith and persist, if you exercise due diligence and declare the Word of God everyday like that, YOU ARE GOING TO SEE RESULTS.
Health and strength will return to your body. In fact, let there be 120% restoration of health. Your youth shall be renewed like the eagle's.
I am still recovering from my incurable disease. But I can feel that it is happening. Healing is perfecting in my body everyday. I am definitely getting better and better each day. It is a condition that my mother used to suffer but NO devil, I refuse to suffer like her because I'm a believer, I'm a child of the Most High God, the Redeemed of the Lord, the Blessed one. God will pay me back double for my troubles. I believe I'm getting back my health 120% restoration and perfection.
Psalm 138:8 - God will perfect that which concerns you.

God has given you free will and free choice ; however you cannot choose the consequences of your actions.
A true Christian will not engage in homosexuality and a homosexual cannot possibly be a true Christian.
Sorry......

Hi everyone, i need help. How do you make the evil of others not destroy your self-esteem? For example at work, with people who mistreat you every day? A boss, co-workers.. "Justice, justice will persecute so that you can live and inherit the Earth" but i dont know how to apply that.
I'd appreciate your answers.
Hello Carolina16,
The Bible says No weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). If you can, anoint yourself with anointing oil before you leave for work each day. Or just plead the Blood of Jesus over you. I pray for you that things will turn around from today. God will surround you with favors as with a shield ( Psalm 5:12). Those who mistreated you will longer be able to find an excuse to pick on you again. They will just leave you alone as they will realize that it's tiring and useless. God will surely deliver you from ALL your troubles (Psalm 34:17-19, Psalm 50:15, Psalm 46:1). May God's hedge of protection be over you always. May you find joy and peace in your life and in your work. Amen.
Declare this everyday : "I will not fear man, what can man do to me? If God is for me, who can be against me. The Lord is my Helper. " -- Psalm 118:6-7 , Romans 8:31
Love you Sis.
God bless.

What is the worst thing a Christian can say to you when you're feeling down ?
I'm asking because I've encountered many instances in my own life when I was down and when I approached a Christian, many of them would say "God knows what I am going through".
Really? That's it ?
How is that supposed to make me feel better ??
Have any of you received the same kind of advise/response, and how did that make you feel ?

Not sure where to post this topic...
This has been on my mind for a while now and would like to ask everyone.
What is your biggest regret in life ?

I used to live in my parent's apartment some years back. When my parents moved out, I decided to use the house for Christian fellowship and had about 10-20 people coming in every weekend... I loved it !
I loved hosting and having fellowship in my house.. I had a desire to cook for them or bake something awesome for them.
My parents left behind a conventional oven which was fairly new but hardly ever used. We only used it occasionally to heat up food but never used it to bake or roast. I had a desire to use it to bake cakes for my fellowship group, but didn't know how to use the oven. I looked everywhere for the user's guide, could not find it. I called up the dealer but they said it was an old model, they don't have it either.
But my desire never went away. The oven looked new and still usable. I decided to pray. I knelt down and told God of my desire. I told God I wanted to bake cake for my fellowship group. I loved cake too and wanted badly to make it myself.
That very same night after I prayed, I had a vivid dream. In the dream, I saw a finger showing me how to use the oven - which buttons to press, the temperature I need to set and even the timings. I woke up stunned and excited. Did God really answered my prayers in that dream ?
I went to check my oven. I remembered the buttons in my dream and tried to follow. I was surprised. I did not even know those buttons existed but they were there !
I got excited and went to buy whatever I needed to bake that cake. After whipping up the mix and putting it in the oven, my heart was beating really fast and nervous. I thought the oven might explode or something. That was the first time I'm using the oven to bake cake.
When the time was up, my whole house was smelling so good. My cake was done, it was perfect, it was delicious and I was so happy and excited !
Praise the Lord.
