  1. God's righteousness or holiness is not created. It is God Himself just as "God is love" so, too, God is righteousness or God is Holy/holiness. Neither are created so there is something else in view here and that is the new man which is created in [God's] righteousness and holiness and it is these attributes of God that are imputed, not created. And the new man (body, soul, and human spirit) is the new man as opposed to the old man which is body and soul - no human spirit. And the word "created" transliterated into Hebrew is "bara" which means something being "created" out of nothing. "Saving faith" is a construct which doesn't hold any relation to salvation since God saves merely on His promise to save, and that His covenant people. Theologians have made up this term but one does not need faith to be saved as there is no requirement of faith in any of the three Hebrew covenants. God makes promise to Abraham and his seed and then keeps every promise He's made to Abraham and his seed. The Abraham Covenant is found in Genesis 12, 15, and 17. The Mosaic Covenant doesn't require faith but it does require obedience for God says so. And the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34 doesn't mention faith. I don't ignore it, I understand it. Will oxygen be required in eternity? God create Adam and the woman sinful (missing the mark.) The word is sin. And God created everything that exists in creation - even evil. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Isaiah 45:7. The LORD does all those things and everything in existence as part of His creation. That's a leap. "Good" only means "good enough" or "to specification." In other words after creating God says it is "good" or "to specification" to what He desired it be after He's created [the thing.] We say the same thing for a job well done. "How did the chair you built turn out?" "Good. Exactly how I wanted it." God is Savior. And here is where they sinned. They added to God's Word and were proven liars: 6 Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Prov. 30:6. They added to God's Word when they added "neither shall ye touch it." Sin comes from sinners just as holiness comes from holy. The contrast between the first and second/last Adam is clear. Adam was created siful and sinned twice. First, by adding to God's Word and again in eating the forbidden tree/fruit. Sin comes from sinner: 13 As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: 1 Sam. 24:12–13. Sin comes from sinner. Sin does not come from holy. The last Adam proved this. Jesus Christ was Holy and did no sin. At all. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from [BEFORE] the foundation (creation) of the world. Rev. 13:7–8. Before God created heaven, earth, and man a lamb was slain in the heavenly Tabernacle. This was a sacrifice which allowed a Righteous God to create an unrighteous being: man. No, they sinned because they were created sinners. Sin does not come from holy. Yes, the text is clear enough. Adam and the woman were created sinful which is why they sinned. They added to God's Word and then they ate from the forbidden tree/fruit. Lying is a sin according to God. 6 Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Prov. 30:6. They added to God's word when they said, "neither shall ye touch it." And so, she was excused? Childbearing, among other things, was the punishment for their sins. I don't make excuses for sin. So, if eating the Tree of Life would make them live forever (eternal) then this means they were not eternal in their creation which means they "fell short of the glory of God." Saul calls that "sin" (Romans.) Yeah, that is the textbook answer and reasoning, and I used to believe that lie. The bottom line is that neither Adam and the woman in their creation cannot stand blameless before a Holy God as Christ could and did. In order to stand before a Holy God blameless they would have to possess ALL the Deific Attributes and Nature of God or else they would "fall short of [that] glory." The word for that is "sin." Only Christ can stand before a Holy God blameless. If a born-again person's sins are all paid for on the cross why do men still die? Death is the punishment for sin is it not? Faith is a gift and no one who is alive physically and yet dead before God in trespasses and sin do not have faith to speak of. Faith is a gift given. Besides this dead men do not have faith. The faith that saves was 'exercised' by Christ. It is HIS FAITH God honored and by which anyone is saved. Salvation - according to Scripture - is between God, Abraham and Abraham's seed, a people to be known as the children of Israel. As far as my reading of the Hebrew Scripture is concerned, I find no covenant between God and non-Hebrew Gentiles. None. And God has covenant with the Hebrew seed of Abraham. That's all. The jailer would have to be the seed of Abraham for this would make him an heir of the promises. Otherwise, if the jailer was a non-Hebrew Gentiles, then Scripture (Hebrew Scripture) would be broken and Jesus said this "cannot be done." Saul as rabbi and Pharisee is addressing Jews. They are already in covenant from Abraham going forward and salvation is a by-product of covenant. The Mosaic Covenant commanded a sin sacrifice and the Bible says the blood of the covenant was sprinkled upon the waiting people as per covenant. The high priest did not leave Israel, go to the Gentiles and offer sacrifices for their sin, did he? No, and neither did Christ as High Priest break Scripture and do the same for non-Hebrew Gentiles. So, Peter, Saul, James - none of the biblical Christians were "Christ-like" in their Christianity? Saul was writing to Jews as was James, Peter, John, Jude, etc. The whole of Scripture from Genesis to Malachi records God's dealing with His covenant people the Hebrews through Abraham. Timothy would have to be a Hebrew or a mixed heritage Hebrew for he would still be the seed of Abraham or else Scripture is broken. I don't hold to beliefs that are not found in Scripture. Saul wrote to Jews and Jewish Christians at Corinth. None of the Hebrew Scripture from Genesis to Malachi, or from Matthew to Revelation are written to non-Hebrew Gentiles. John 11. Dead men do not have faith. Thus, it was Jesus' faith God honored by which anyone is saved. Faith is a gift, is it not? And it is also given AFTER one is born-again, but it is Jesus' faith that God honored by which His covenant people are saved. This is bible.
  2. Of course I do. I take what is written in Scripture for my understanding in and under the anointing. Now, about the New Covenant here is the passage describing Jeremiah's prophecy: 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, That I will make a new covenant With the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day that I took them by the hand To bring them out of the land of Egypt; Which my covenant they brake, Although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, fI will put my law in their inward parts, And write it in their hearts; And will be their God, And they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: For they shall all know me, From the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: For I will forgive their iniquity, And I will remember their sin no more. Jeremiah 31:31–34. And honest reading shows that faith is not mentioned nor a requirement. Instead, the New Covenant shows only what God is going to do to save His people and there is no requirement for faith. Saul says that men are dead in trespasses and sins. Lazarus was dead in trespasses and sins and laid in the grave unable to "have faith" in anything to change his condition. In fact, Lazarus remained in the grave dead three, then four days until Jesus even got up to go to him and his family. It wasn't faith that saved Lazarus from this time in the grave UNTIL Jesus commanded "Lazarus, [to] Come Forth!" This is a powerful lesson on being raised from the dead being killed by trespasses and sin. Faith played no part in Lazarus' resurrection. The Abraham Covenant is found in Genesis 12, 15, and 17, and an honest reading of the pertinent passages reveals no faith is required in this covenant. And it should be said that Abraham was an obedient believer who had relationship with God before God stepped out and gave Abraham promises as we find in these chapters in Genesis. And the faith that Saul writes about that he had had nothing to do with the covenant promises in chapters 12, 15, and 17. The only requirement was to "walk perfect before God" and "circumcision. The faith Saul is referencing surrounds Abraham going up the mount to sacrifice Isaac. And faith of Abraham in this event is found in Genesis 22:5 AFTER the closing of the Abrahamic Covenant. Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. Gen. 22:5. If Abraham was successful is sacrificing Isaac Abraham's faith is wrapped up knowing that Isaac is a promised birth and the covenant is to pass to him so Abe's faith which he exercised is holding God to "provide" and that Isaac will be his rightful heir and would have to raise Isaac from death to bring that about. But a reading of the Abraham Covenant found in Genesis 12, 15, and 17 does not mention faith nor is faith a requirement.
  3. I take my understanding of a non-existent human spirit from Ephesians 4:24 in which the word "created" [in righteousness and holiness] is a Greek word that corresponds to the Hebrew word "bara" in Genesis 1 which word is used of God creating 'something out of nothing' such as creating the universe out of nothing. The other word in Genesis 1 is the word used to created something out of something (man from the dust.) The bible does. What is in physical existence can originally be found in spiritual reality (such as heavenly Tabernacle, et.al.) This is the whole point of atonement. 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:17. Until atonement was realized in time and the Spirit can now be IN [you] it was before atonement merely "with" [you.] God makes no requirement of faith in any of the three Hebrew covenants. Abraham Covenant: requirement is circumcision. Mosaic Covenant: requirement is obedience. New Covenant: no requirements at all. Fire is particular to physical reality. It requires combustible material, an accelerant, and oxygen. There is no oxygen in eternity as God does not 'breathe' neither will man. God Himself is everything life. We will not need oxygen to live. I don't think I said that. What ceases to exist is the connection to God which the opposite is separation - eternal separation, which "the sting of death is [unatoned sin.] And if it stings to be separated from God I think in "time" it may "feel" like a fire or flame. I have been stung by a bee and initially it is a sting but soon as the area acclimates it begins to feel like being burned (fire/flame.) Between the two is the corrupt, sinful, unatoned body raised in the same condition or is [both] "resurrected" the same? But it can't be. For the believer their bodies are 'changed from corruption to incorruption.' Does it say the same for the unatoned? As Isaiah says and I agree and understand: 1. There is only One God. 2. There is None like Him. 3. He gives His glory to No One. And this means that man was created fallen short of the glory that isGod. Man wasn't created with any of the Nature or Deific Attributes of God. This alone proves that man was not possessing any of the glories of God (Eternalness, Holiness, Sinlessness, etc.) and even one "lack" in man condemns him (in creation) to being created "missing the mark" (sinful) of the glory of God. One Person stand before a Holy God blameless and that is a Holy Son. Besides this the word "good" does not mean "holy" or "righteous" or "sinless." It merely means "good [enough] or "to specification." It's the same as when we complete a job well done or resulting in "good", to specification. This word in Genesis has no moral connotations or meaning. God created and His creation was exactly the way He desired to create. It was to His specifications. They were created sinner which is why they sinned. They were not "holy" or "sinless" for if created with an Attribute or Nature of God they would NOT have sinned but would have been as the Son - sinless. 13 As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: 1 Sam. 24:13. In other words - sin comes from sinner. Besides this their disobedience and the eating of the Tree was not their first sin so upon this fact there is and was no "Fall." Their (Adam and Eve) first sin was adding to God's Word when they added "neither shall ye touch it." Lying is a sin is it not? 6 Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:6. They lied and were 'reproved.' According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 the Word of God "reproves" the liar. God never said "neither shall ye touch it" and it doesn't matter "without Law there is no sin." It was their ability to sin without a command against lying that proved their sinfulness. And it appears that to live forever one only have eaten from the Tree of Life (which is metaphor) for the Word who was with God and was God 'in the beginning.' If Adam and the woman possessed ANY of God's Deific Attributes (sinlessness, holiness, etc.) they would have by necessity MUST possess ALL Deific Attributes of God or they would have fallen short. The word for that is "sin." So, no, being created "good" has no reference to any moral equivalency. It merely meant "good [enough] or "to specification." I don't think I said I believe in "annihilationism." The unatoned will exist. They will exist separated from God. How that will play out in practical manner I could not say except that we as believers will glorify God for their judgment by God - even if we see our mother or child in that group of the unatoned. We will glorify God against them. I agree, except based upon Eph. 4:24 what God creates "anew" is created "out of nothing" and the human spirit cannot exist and then God creates a new human spirit when they are born again and now "you" have two spirits - one existing but dead, the other created "out of nothing." No one "puts their trust in Christ." Salvation is of the LORD and like Lazarus dead men do not have faith for faith is a gift given at salvation. God is the one who saves without any input from man. God is merely following the "book of life of the lamb" which was "made" (with names of the predestined saved) before God created heaven, earth, and man. Then, God went about creating. Everyone God ordained to salvation will at the appointed time be saved without fail. God created man sinful, or "missing the mark" of the glory of God which is why they sinned because sin cannot and does not come from holy. The last Adam proved that. He was Holy, He was Sinless, and He did no sin. Man was sinful and this is why he sinned. Even adding to God's word "neither shall ye touch it" is sin for he was reproved and found a liar and liars do not the kingdom of God living in them. God saves through covenant. Nothing else. He saved merely on His promise to save. That's it. He promised and then went about keeping His promise and none of the three Hebrew Covenants have faith as a requirement and the reason for that is dead men - like Lazarus - do not have faith. They are dead in trespasses and sin. Lazarus could not exert any faith to be resurrected. Until Jesus said, "Come Forth" he would stay dead. God is following the lamb's book of life without any input from man for dead men have no faith for faith is a gift of God. It comes with salvation and the only people that are inheritors of the promise are the seed of Abraham.
  4. That would make the person trichotomous still. Remaining like a hangnail. I would think it cease to exist, which in Eph. 4:24 it (human spirit) is created anew by God. Born-"AGAIN" of the Holy Spirit (spiritual) seems to me to be what in the original was a physical birth similarly now a spiritual birth, is it not? Physical birth consists of egg and sperm and same with spiritual birth - egg and sperm? (body/physical/egg=Jesus, and spirit/spirit/sperm=Spirit?) is confusing. I would prefer that in physical birth there is no human spirit passed in the genes of Adam and the woman for in death it ceases to exist? Which when one is born-again God creates a new human spirit (out of nothing-"bara") - Eph. 4:24? not "from something." I hold faith is not a requirement of the person since "dead men have no faith" (Eph. 2:1) and faith is a gift of God (Eph. 2:8-9.) I think the "torment" is not an act performed by one upon another, but just the reality of separation from God in which "torment" is the symptom of separation. "Hell" would be the grave so, yes, God HAS already destroyed body and soul in hell/grave. It is the result of sin and ordained by default by virtue of creation, which I hold that man (and woman) were created sinful or as the word is defined by Strong as "missing the mark" (think archery). What is that "mark" missed by default in their creation? The glory of God, or the glory that is God. Again, I hold that any "torment" is not inflicted by one upon another, rather, that "torment" is what the soul experiences by virtue of being separate from God since Lazarus was "[in] comforted" and the rich man in "torment" by virtue of immediate separation from God in physical death. Again, that would mean the existence of a "dead" spirit remaining like a hangnail or and instead of God creating anew (out of nothing) to be a human spirit created anew (from something) - the remaining hangnail/dead human spirit. Yes.
  5. God's chosen people are the Jews (Hebrews.) All twelve tribes plus one. The Hebrew Scripture is the preparation of what God was going to do so that the people would be prepared and recognize God in whatever it is the Scripture spoke of. The Holy Spirit does not deviate from the written Word. The Word will go forth from God whether spoken or later written for their teaching and admonition. The Holy Spirit does nothing unless it is first told to Israel, and when the fullness of time arrived God sent forth His Son and after, His Spirit, and they were both promised to Israel. Now, if you have Scripture that contradicts what I wrote please post it and I'll take a look. God is accepting "all people" that are the seed of Abraham as He has promised in almost every generation. Bear in mind that God scattered His covenant people twice before Christ (Assyrian and Babylonian conquest and exile of the northern and southern kingdoms, respectively. And God scattered His covenant people twice after Jesus ascended (Roman AD 70 and Germany 1930s.) And in these scatterings the Hebrew people did mingle with the "goyim" and learn their ways and had offspring. It is my position that although I have more pieces of the puzzle that is important to why I believe as I do, I will say this - as per God's promise(s) to Abram the Hebrew and his Hebrew seed, God's promises to the children of Israel at the time of the Tabernacle and Moses, and God's promises through their prophets, those that are presumed "Gentile" and are truly born-again by the Holy Spirit of Promise (promised to Israel/Joel), they just might have at least one Hebrew parent in their family ancestry and in this the Lord knows them that are his (although no one can relate their family history past 1000 years), you just may have Abram's DNA in your family ancestry no matter the dilution. Everything about salvation is contained in this passage below. None of these things was ever promised to non-Hebrew Gentiles: 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 9:4–5. And 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons; Gal. 4:4–5. Scripture cannot be broken. If you find any of these things promised (covenanted) with non-Hebrew Gentiles, please post it. To date no one has been able to contradict these words. What say ye?
  6. It is taken for granted that everyone in the NT born-again is Jewish. It doesn't have to say so. The New Covenant writings from Matthew to Revelation is written by a Jew to and for other Jews and Jewish Christians. I accept that James wrote to the twelve tribes scattered, or the author of Hebrews wrote to Hebrews and the epistles were also written to Jews. Revelation is also written to Israel. I know of only these three covenants: Abraham, Mosaic, and New (not including the Davidic covenant, etc.) Do you know of any covenant made by God that is made with non-Hebrew Gentiles? Please, sharpen my understanding if there is such a covenant in the Hebrew Scripture.
  7. Are you Gentile? How can you pass judgment on another race of people and their history, culture, and religion to say their Law directly from God does not apply to them any longer? Would you feel OK with Hamas declaring the US Constitution doesn't apply to Americans any longer? Here are a few things about your position: Here, Jesus not only directs this Israelite to the Law but also directs him to obey it: 25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. Lk 10:25–28. Eternal life is an inheritance of the Hebrew people, and it is based on covenant promises between God, Abram the Hebrew and Abram's Hebrew seed. Jesus directs the man to "do" the Law of Moses. And then there is this command: 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Tim. 3:16–17. Without the Law Israel would not know how to behave under God's economy. Saul, through the Holy Spirit, commands the people to obey the Law of Moses. The [OT] Hebrew Scripture of Law, Psalms, and Prophets is for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Take away the Law of Moses and the rest of their Scripture and they have nothing to follow before God. Besides this how can they come to know their Redeemer, Lord, and King? 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Gal. 3:24. Without the Law, the Psalms, and the Prophets - the total Hebrew Scripture - Israel could not come to identify their God nor do those things required of them of God. They would literally be each and every one leaning upon their own understanding in the vanity of their own minds. Everyone would be turned to their own ways and their lack of true knowledge of God as described in their oracles would lead to their total destruction. So, what happened on the day of the Jewish Feast of Harvest? Three thousand Jews were born-again by the Holy Spirit of Promise. And Joel prophesied that God's Spirit was promised to Israel. It would break Scripture and God's Word to teach non-Hebrew Gentiles are recipients of God's Promised Spirit when there is nothing in the Word that has God promising His Spirit to Gentiles. Do you know where such a promise is in the bible? What happened at the Feast of Harvest was a natural conclusion of everything God had promised Abram and his seed. The Holy Spirit of Promise was given to Jews according to the Promise and will of God. And what was the result? It caused them to love God's Word much more deeply than ever before. 20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law: Acts 21:20. The first thing the believer has is a love for God's written Word. And not only that but Saul as rabbi and Pharisee after meeting Jesus on the road remained obedient to the Law of Moses and Scripture in general. 24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law. Acts 21:24. If for any reason Saul did not continue in his obedience to the Law he would have been excommunicated at least and stoned at most. But what is Saul known by? By his following the Law above many his equal. The Jews and Judaizers held him in high regard among his people. Every day Jews were being born-again and come to a saving knowledge of their God through Christ. Their whole demeanor changed and their relationship to the letter of the Law became understanding the spirit of the Law and their love for their God deepened and God Himself was glorified in these things. There was great revival in Jerusalem and the Word of God increased even more as Jews traveled about Israel and even after the Jews that returned home after the Feast was over many more Jews outside Israel in Gentile lands became returned to God. The majority of all Jews alive at the time who lived in Gentile lands were witnessed of parts of Peter's sermon and they were the ones who took Jesus into all the world - even before Saul. So, no, Scripture was not "abolished" or done away. Every Jew born-again by the Holy Spirit of Promise came alive to God and His Word. And it will be the Law, the Psalms, and the Prophets which will lead all Israel back to their Redeemer at the end times before Yeshua's return. And then Israel will fulfill their mandate to be a light to the Gentiles. Every Samaritan, every mixed-heritage Hebrew who is the seed of Abraham shall come to know their Lord and King. Everyone, for God will keep all His Promises and then as Saul declared, "All Israel shall be saved." Romans 11. This is what I read in Scripture. Do you?
  8. Yes, there were about 3,000 Hebrews that were killed for their disobedience against God after the golden calf incident, but God still had covenant promises made with Abraham that endured despite their insolence. This was a people that after several generations were all under Egyptian mistreatment, but they took their sufferings to the right Person for relief: God. And as promised by God He did come to their rescue and delivered the Hebrew people out from under Egyptian bondage. The New Covenant was all-inclusive of all the twelve tribes of Israel. Jeremiah describes both the House of Israel (ten northern kingdom tribes) and the House of Judah (two southern kingdom tribes.) It was not a remnant, but all twelve tribes were included in the New Covenant. And as per Jeremiah there is nothing about "receiving His Son." Actually, it describes the things God was going to do in this covenant and this includes "put His law in their inward parts, writing it in their hearts; He will be their God, and they shall be [my] people. they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: For they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, and [God] will forgive their iniquity, and remember their sin no more. Jer. 31:33–34. And as you can see there is nothing required of the people as they are passive with regard to any requirement on their part. Again, there is no mention of a "remnant" in the Jeremiah prophecy of this New Covenant, which is only the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Christ. "Forgiving [their] iniquity and remembering [their] sin no more" can only refer to what Christ did under the Mosaic Covenant and the Ceremonial Law which He fulfilled. God saves through covenant. This is the history of the Abraham and Mosaic Covenants God made with Abraham and his seed and later with the children of Jacob/Israel at the time of Moses. The covenant between God and Abraham and his seed is an "everlasting covenant" 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Gen. 17:7. The only requirement from Abraham and his seed is circumcision. Not even "faith" is required of Abraham. And a close look at the three Hebrew covenants does not mention "all humanity." The Abraham Covenant is between God, Abram the Hebrew (Gen. 14:13) and with Abram's Hebrew seed; the Mosaic Covenant is between God and the children of Israel; and the New Covenant is between God and the House of Israel and the House of Judah. "All humanity" is not mentioned nor included. And since Jesus Christ is that Prophet like unto Moses who was promised to Come, when He did come it was to fulfill all righteousness and in hindsight, we see that Christ fulfilled the Law of Moses - specifically, the Ceremonial Law - and just as the animal was sacrificed yearly to atone yearly for the sins of the children of Israel, Jesus Christ was slain and as the lamb of God was substitute for the animal sacrifice and as the animal sacrifice was made to atone for the sins of the children of Israel, so, too was Christ slain for the sins of the children of Israel - eternally, and forever. I do not find any passage of Scripture that the high priest performed his function for anyone except the children of Israel as commanded by God. Jesus Himself said, Scripture cannot be broken" and that He was "sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel." Everything with regard to the three Hebrew covenants points to this truth. Abraham's Covenant is inclusive of his Hebrew seed. This covers the Hebrew people throughout their generations. In Scri[pture, I find no covenant between God and non-Hebrew Gentiles. None. And because of this covenant with Abraham "all Israel shall be saved" just as Saul wrote to Jews and Jewish Christians at Rome. The God of Abraham shall keep all His Promises.
  9. First, true, biblical Christianity is Jewish/Hebrew in origin. The children of Israel was promised a prophet like unto Moses. Each generation had watched and hoped it would be their generation that would see this prophet like unto Moses appear. The Church Christ promised to build was populated by Jews who were born-again by their Holy Spirit of Promise (promised to Israel.) Three thousand Jews were born-again on the day of the Jewish Feast of Harvest. Acts 2:47 says that Christ added to His Church daily such as should be saved, and this implies that thousands were born-again daily as Acts 2:47 states. Sometimes more, and sometimes less. These Jews remained faithful to the Law of Moses after they were born-again. As a matter of fact, their relation to the Law of Moses took on a different dynamic. But it took time for the Jews to come to understand the New Covenant era they found themselves is as discussion was made among the Jews and the Jewish Christians the things God was doing among the Jews. It was about 20-30 years later when Saul instructed the Jewish Christians that "all Scripture was profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness so that the man (and woman) would be thoroughly furnished unto all good works - including the Law of Moses. So, for the Jews the Law of Moses (and the Psalms and the Prophets) was still their Law and they through the Holy Spirit was able to interact with the Law in different ways. God justified His people Israel when they became born-again, and sanctification was also part of their Christianity. So, what covenant were (Jewish) Christians under? The Abraham, and Mosaic Covenants. All the New Covenant is, is the Mosaic Covenant fulfilled by Christ and with Christ in the new believer, God judged them "Not Guilty!" of violating the Law because of what Jesus did and through the work of Christ on the cross that is applied to each new born-again believer.
  10. Jesus was not promised to Abraham or Sarah. There is nothing in the Abrahamic Covenant about Jesus. The son promised to Abraham and Sarah was Isaac. The covenant between God and Abram the Hebrew was passed through birth to Isaac and then Jacob whom God changed his name to Israel. The Mosaic Covenant continued with the Hebrew seed of Abraham. The New Covenant continued with the Hebrew seed of Abraham. That wrath was received by Jesus on the cross for the children of Israel as described in the Mosaic Covenant, specifically, the Ceremonial Law. Passover came later. There was nothing about a paschal lamb where Abraham was concerned.
  11. Correct. There is no such thing as "seed of Christ." Christ is the seed of Abraham but there is no such thing as "seed of Christ." There are natural Olive tree Jews, and there are spiritual Olive tree Jews who are born-again. The only people in Scripture that are Christ-followers are those who have been born-again and the NT cites only Jews as being in covenant and recipients of the Holy Spirit of Promise promised to Israel as per the prophet Joel. But the Holy Spirit was never promised to non-Hebrew, non-covenant Gentiles. I find no passage in the Old Testament the Holy Spirit was promised to non-Hebrew Gentiles. And if there's no Old Testament precedence there is no New Covenant reality. Jesus declared "Scripture cannot be broken." The Abraham Covenant is between God, Abram the Hebrew, and Abram's Hebrew seed. The Mosaic Covenant is between God and the children of Jacob/Israel. The New Covenant is between God and the House of Israel (ten northern kingdom tribes) and Judah (two southern kingdom tribes.) Scripture cannot be broken.
  12. The kingdom of God is not a place. It is a Person. God. I say this because there is only ONE God, there is NONE like Him, and He gives His glory to NO ONE. Having said that, it is impossible for God to copy, share, reduplicate, give His glory (Eternalness) to a place or location. Only God is Eternal. And He gives His glory to no one. It is impossible for God to give His Nature to a location.
  13. In the gospels we see Jesus interacting with a Samaritan woman. It is taken for granted that this woman specifically, and Samaritans in general are the offspring of Jew and Gentile (mostly Assyrians and other non-Hebrew peoples that joined the Assyrians in defeating the ten northern kingdom tribes in and around 722 BC. Jews called these mixed heritage Hebrews Samaritan and not Jew. And as far as the Abraham Covenant is concerned these mixed heritage Hebrews of Gentile descent are still Abraham's seed and Jesus includes this woman at the well as being the seed of Abraham and heir according to the promise (Gal. 3:28-29.) But I see a curious thing that is missing from the gospels as well as the epistles and it is this: The two southern kingdom tribes (Judah and Benjamin) were conquered and taken into exile by the Babylonians around 586 BC. I'm sure there was residue mixed heritage Hebrews as a result not to mention "Jews" that lived in Babylon for about 50 years (how many generations?) until Cyrus gave Nehemiah leave to return to Israel and rebuild the wall and their city. Where in the gospels and in the epistles are these mixed heritage Jew-Gentile offspring mentioned in these texts? Mixed heritage Hebrews of Gentile descent are mentioned in the NT as "Samaritan" and Abraham's seed, but where are the mixed heritage Hebrews of Gentile descent mentioned in the New Testament? Why is there mention of Jew-Gentile offspring called "Samaritan" but there's no mention of any mixed heritage offspring between the two southern kingdom tribes and Babylonians and other Gentiles that were allied with the Babylonians when they took the kingdom of Judah into captivity and bringing them back to Babylon and other places around Babylon. Where are these mixed heritage Hebrews mentioned in the gospels and the epistles? If a remnant can be numbered as around 10% of all Hebrews/Jews living at the time then this leaves about 90% of all Jews that remained in Babylon and in locations in between Babylon and Israel proper. Where are these offspring mentioned in the NT? When Babylon conquered Assyria I'm sure they took some of the ten tribes with them back to Babylon, right? These tribes of the northern kingdom assimilated with the Jews of the southern kingdom in Babylon and it says a "remnant" returned back to Israel with Nehemiah. This leaves a great majority of Jews who remained in Babylon and in Gentile lands in-between. How many generations of Jews grew up in Gentile lands and heavily influenced by Greek culture were there? And if Jews called the offspring of Jews and Assyrian "Samaritan" and not "Jew", what were the offspring of the two southern kingdom tribes and Babylonians called? Heathen? Gentile? And where are they mentioned in the NT? Remember, they were the majority of all Jews alive that stayed back while a minority/remnant returned to the Promised Land with Nehemiah. Jesus never left Israel and nearby cities in Galilee. How would these Jews and mixed heritage Jews who lived in Gentile lands to know about God keeping His Promise and sending that Prophet like unto Moses to Israel. Who's going to tell them what happened those three years of Jesus' ministry including His death and claimed resurrection? The Abrahamic Covenant is between God, Abram the Hebrew and his Hebrew seed. The Mosaic Covenant is between God and the children of Israel. The New Covenant is between God and the House of Israel and the House of Judah according to Jeremiah 31:31-34. Where does it say in the Hebrew Scripture God making covenant with non-Hebrews? I don't find any covenant in the Bible, do you? The stranger can be the descendants of Ishmael and Esau. They are the seed of Abraham, right? And since the Scripture has Abraham and his seed as central to every story in the Hebrew Scripture why would you read it as though God is dealing with the non-Hebrew Gentile? The Scripture is a history of the Hebrew people and sometimes it records their interaction with Ishmael's offspring as well as Esau's not to mention offspring of Lot and that family line that lived in and around the Jordan Valley and nearby. They were a nomadic people and there is a history of these people that find their way into the Hebrew Scripture. Not everybody was the offspring of Ham and Japheth. Abraham's father did have a brother and Lot is nephew to Abraham. They were also the descendants of Eber. As above. Jesus is the fulfillment of a promise God gave to the children of Israel. He was promised to the children of Israel. The Holy Spirit of Promise is called that because He was promised to Israel as spoken by Joel. Jesus Himself says He was sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Jesus taught the children of Israel. And as according to the Law of Moses which sacrifices were made yearly for the sins of the children of Israel and Jesus as the lamb of God was substituted for the Paschal lamb and died according to Scripture to atone eternally the sins of who? Gentiles or children of Israel? Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses and the Law of Moses especially the Ceremonial Laws died in place of the lamb to atone eternally for the sins of the children of Israel and the seed of Abraham. If during the history of the Mosaic Laws the high priest sprinkled the Hebrew people with the blood and in keeping with the Law of Moses Jesus as High Priest shed His blood and gave His body in accordance to the Mosaic Law for who? Gentiles? I don't see that. I would have to "break" Scripture to add non-Hebrew Gentiles in any of the three Hebrew covenants (Abraham, Mosaic, New.) I find nothing in all of Scripture that teaches a God-Gentile covenant.
  14. Our "soul" is that which may come from God and in this is His familiarity or foreknowledge of ourselves. But then how does this apply to someone whom "[He] never knew." Curious.
  15. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Mt. 10:28. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thess. 5:23. There are no "three-part" persons in "hell." There is a distinction being expressed in these two passages. If Jesus is merely describing the body and soul in the grave ("hell") after the spirit/breath returns to God, or the "two-part" person would be eternally separated from God for again this passage also enlightens us: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb. 4:12. It is the Word of God rightly divided in me that allows me to discern soul, spirit, and body (joints and marrow) of anyone in the exercise of my spiritual gifts. Discerning the body (joints and marrow) if my gift is of healing the body, or of healing of soul and the "heart" of man. I hear it being said that no man can 'discern' another person's "heart" but if the Word of God is planted in my "heart" and it dwells within me richly, the gifts of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God gives me the insight in accordance with God's will for a particular purpose as my candle is the illumination that gives light to all that are in the house (or Church.)
  16. Man was created sinful, or as the word is defined by Strong, "missing the mark." What is that "mark"? The glory of God, or the glory that is God. Isaiah states unequivocally that there is only ONE God, there is NONE like Him, and He gives His glory to NO ONE. Understanding and accepting this is base to understanding the creation of man. God cannot reduplicate Himself in Himself. He cannot copy or duplicate any aspect of His glorious, sinless, holy nature and attributes. If God created man sinless or holy or righteous then man would need to be created with ALL the nature or Deific attributes of God else, he would fall short of God's eternal magnificent glory. There is only ONE Who can stand before a Holy God blameless and that is a Holy Son. Thus, we have the reason why man sinned. It is because he was created sinful, or "missing the mark." And I do not agree that there was a "Fall" with the eating of the forbidden tree. It was, after all, a Tree of the KNOWLEDGE of Good and Evil. God merely used this natural tree to give man (and the woman) the KNOWLEDGE of their sinfulness. The prophet says: 13 As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: 1 Samuel 24:13. Or, sin comes from sinner. And even before these two ate from the forbidden tree they were already sinners as their adding to God's Word dictates: 6 Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:6. They added to God's word: "neither shall ye touch it" clearly proves these two as liars by adding to God's word that according to the text was not part of the original command. And no liar has eternal life. Even if these two did not disobey God they would have eventually died due to their temporality in that they were not eternal, which is the Nature of God, and again, if one possesses any one attribute or nature of God he/she would by necessity must possess ALL the Nature or Deific Attributes of God. As saith the ancients, sin comes from sinner and wickedness cometh from the wicked. There is only ONE God. And because they were sinful ("missing the mark"), it would not be necessary to bar the way to the tree of life. 22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Gen. 3:22. Besides this, Saul gives us more insight to the make-up of man: 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 1 Cor. 15:42–49. Man does not bear the image of God, the Son does. Man is natural and of the earth, earthy, as opposed to the Lord from heaven. There is no better image of a Father than a Son. 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Col. 1:15. I believe that when God said, "let us make man in our own image" that God ordained the new man in the loins of the man would would be born into the world at the appointed time, and born-again at the appointed time, with the Old Testament saints "kept" until the atonement could be made that would bring a co-habitation between God and His elect people in time. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Gal. 3:23. And so, we come to atonement. And in the new birth we begin our conformity to the image of Christ who is the image of the invisible God. It is the "new man" that is made in the image of Christ, true righteousness, true holiness, which is also our justification, our being declared, "Not Guilty!" by God. 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Eph. 4:24. There was no "Fall" of man. There was no change in the composition of man when he failed God and did that which was natural to him and that is sin which came from a sinner. Man - Adam - was created body, soul, and human spirit, which in man is necessary in order to process spiritual phenomenon, so that we may pray and worship God with a human spirit for God Himself is Spirit. Having a created-anew human spirit allows us to process and exercise our spiritual gifts, to discern God's Presence, to pray and worship God with a human spirit as we are now able to worship God in/with [human] spirit and in truth. The unconverted man (or woman) is born body and soul and in this dichotomy dies and are cast into "hell" as opposed to the new man who is in new birth restored to a trichotomy of God's own expressed nature of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  17. I believe all Scripture - Genesis to Revelation - is written to the Hebrew people. And in the New Covenant writings "Gentiles" was used of Hebrews that remained in Gentile lands (90% of all total Jews) that lived for about 15-20 generations (522 BC onward) who were heavily influenced by Greek culture and grew up as Gentile having lost or diminished their Hebrew culture due to growing up for these many generations. The mixed heritage Samaritans are type and shadow of this phenomenon. Jews called the offspring of Jews and Assyrians as Samaritans and not "Jew" with the same biased attitude Jews called mixed heritage Jews who did not return with the remnant (10%) and called them "Gentile" and not Jew. These were mixed heritage Hebrews who were the subject of Judaists desiring they be circumcised after they were born-again and were the ones the apostles and elders addressed in the Jerusalem Council of Acts 15. No apostle, elder, or Jew would ever think of circumcising any non-Hebrew Gentile nor place upon them the four laws of the Law of Moses (Acts 15:29.) There would be riots and an uproar and the apostles would have lost all credibility with the Jewish people if they were actually wanting to circumcise or place the Law upon non-Hebrew Gentiles. It just was never done.
  18. Fathers is plural. At the time of the Abraham promises Abraham was no father.
  19. The New Covenant writings - Matthew to Revelation - are all written to the Jew or Jewish Christians. Read it in this context to come to the knowledge of the truth.
  20. It says "fathers" as in plural, but it doesn't mean Abraham. What God promised Abraham with regard to land is described in Genesis 15. That amount of land has yet to be in Israel's possession, so what God gave to the "fathers" and what God gave to Abraham are two distinct promises.
  21. Not all promises to Abraham and to the children of Israel have been fulfilled. Here is one promise made to Abraham and if I can upload an image will prove my point: 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: 19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, 20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, 21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites. Gen. 15:17–21.
  22. Yes, and it was prophesied that Messiah would be "rejected, a man of sorrows acquainted with grief." But salvation is of the LORD and Saul does say that it is by election that God saves (Rom. 9.) But not all Israel rejected their Lord and King. The events that took place in Jerusalem was a minority when the whole population of Jews that lived outside of Israel and in Gentile lands is taken into consideration for they were oblivious as to what happened to Jesus in Jerusalem until the ascended Lord could send His messengers to herald His arrival as prophesied and to give them hope of victory and redemption. Although it was a minority of Jews in Jerusalem - religious leaders included - rejected their Messiah salvation does not rest in the will of men but in the will of God. The word "church" (ekklesia meaning "called out [ones]") is only an extension of the "Great Congregation" of Jews/Hebrews at the time of the Tabernacle going forward. Solomon does speak of a "great congregation" of Jews and both they - and Jesus - were "called out" of Egypt. The Church Jesus Promised to build was first populated by Jews beginning on the day of the Jewish Feast of Harvest also known as Pentecost where God saved and birth a new creation through the Holy Spirit when He arrived. Three thousand Jews were born-again on that day, and according to Acts 2:47 Jesus added to His Church of "called out" Jews daily such as should be saved. Thus, daily did Christ add thousands daily to His Church. All three covenants (Abraham, Mosaic, and New) are between God and Abraham and his seed.
  23. They were not "fleshly commands" for the Scripture says "the Law is spiritual."
  24. The word "nations" in Genesis 17:6 did not mean "non-Hebrew Gentiles" at the time it was used cotemporally. In my study using Strong's as my reference source the word is defined as "masses" (as in people or population.) It is used of Abraham and also of his wife Sarah. In time the word "goy/goyim" came to reference non-Hebrew people, but it would be unreasonable for it to mean "non-Hebrew Gentiles" when used of both Abraham and his wife who were of Hebrew descent. I should note here that Abraham and Hagar did have a son named Ishmael who had twelve sons, and that Isaac had two sons (Esau and Jacob) but the bible is clear the inheritance went through Isaac's son, Jacob and not Ishmael. Ishmael, being the seed of Abraham was blessed of God as was Esau but the promises was inherited by Jacob and later to his twelve sons and their descendants. In the fulness of time the "Prophet like unto Moses" was born from Jacobian family line, specifically, the family/tribe of Judah. Later, the word "goy/goyim did come to mean "non-Hebrew Gentiles." But for the use in Genesis 17:6 and 17:16 it refers to [the] "massing" of people/population(s) and not as "non-Hebrew Gentiles." The "nations" and "kings" that would "come out of thee" (Abraham and Sarah) besides the Hebrew family line also refer to the descendants of Ishmael and Esau. And of course, the "nation" of Israel proper. God promised Abraham's seed which included Ishmael and Esau's family lines would be blessed. I reference a "Gentile" bible for in the fourth century there was a need to gather scrolls and to make a "collected" bible of texts I call New Covenant writings. This was done by Gentiles. From my studies the need arose to do this because of persecution and Roman attempt to 'stamp out' Christianity by stamping out the texts written by the various apostles. There were also many heresies that arose even in the first century when Christianity was in its infancy.
