  1. Occasionally, there is an evangelist that comes to fill-in for my Pastor during his absence, and he's a part of a congregation within the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm fairly certain he's ordained under the banner as well, although I couldn't pass that as fact. I know little of their trivial beliefs, but I know that their church (this one, any way) is not as conservative as my home church.
  2. You're right. I know the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost is Jesus, that all one-in-the-same, salvation is found in no other name, and that baptism isn't done the Bible unless performed in the name of Jesus.
  3. I was aware that there were Apostolic fellowships that were Trinitarian. And you're right, many might label themselves as such, but yet don't believe the Apostles' doctrine as outlined in the NT.
  4. I am not UPC, personally. I have been to UPC churches, and I do know some that attend them. Personally, I'm an independent Apostolic, as is my church and those we fellowship with.
  5. True, and all these three are one, and that one name is Jesus. That's why baptism in the New Testament was always performed in the name of Jesus Christ.
  6. The Bible tells us that in order to inherit the Kingdom, we must be born of the water and of the Spirit (John 3:5), and that without the Spirit of God we are none of the Lord's (Romans 8:9). Every instance throughout Scripture when I convert was filled with the Spirit, they spoke with new tongues. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:46; Acts 19:6) Why should we expect our Spirit infilling experience to be any different?
  7. However, we don't believe the Godhead consists of a "trinity of persons". That's not Bible.
  8. As Apostolics, we believe in the Oneness of God as detailed by the Word. Those that self-proclaim to be Apostolic may or may not be affiliated with an established Apostolic-aimed denominational organization, but perhaps independent in practice.
  9. Most self-identifying Apostolic Christians aren't affiliated with an organization as I mentioned above. Of course, movements such as the United Pentecostal Church, has significant membership, and therefore is often relied upon by theologians to judge we Apostolics. We call ourselves Apostolic because we adhere to, teach, and therefore live the Apostles' doctrine as outlined in the New Testament. We believe is Acts 2:38 is the Plan of Salvation, and that a life of holiness is commanded by scripture, without which none of shall see the Lord.
  10. By Apostolic, I mean: One God, Apostolic Pentecostal Holiness Christians that believe Acts 2:38 is the original New Testament Plan of Salvation. They may be involved in an organizational church, such as the United Pentecostal or Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ churches, but the majority, like my home church, are self-operating and independent from denominational oversight. That's what I mean.
  11. Any Apostolic, Spirit-filled Christians here? Acts 2:38 Salvation?
