  1. The Fall Back John:21.3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. There is nothing as frustrating as falling back, falling back into old habits that you want to over come, falling back into the same temptations, falling back into what you are fighting to get out. Sometimes fall back is unavoidable during growth. In this verse Jesus had died, resurrection Sunday had passed by, Easter Monday passed by..and it was now days and the disciples didn't know what next. They didn't know what life would be without Jesus. Jesus was the man. He walked on water, calmed their storms, turned for them water into wine, multiplied bread, healed those that were sick among them. Life without Jesus seemed hard for them hence the temptation to fall back. It is funny the things we go back to do when we nolonger have someone to be accountable to us. Its funny the things we do, when the ones we relied on are gone. I can't forget when Mama passed on and breakfast ceased at home, I wondered how long it would be till we had milk for breakfast as usual. Peter is naturally a leader, and his choices affect the rest in the group. You may not know it, but you might have people that look up to you, they do what they do because they see you do it. That is why you must watch what you do and say to those in your circles. The profundity of this text is the fact that, even in the fall back. Jesus still appears to his disciples. Because of his endless love for you and me, he is always in the bussines of pulling us back from our valleys - the fall backs. I know its resurrection, but I feel like its hell breaking loose on me, Yes...even if that is the feeling; Jesus says I have come...and I just want to know one thing... "Do you love me Simon Peter Do you really love me? Do you?" Not only do I want you to feed my flock, but also tend them. Nevertheless, most importantly, However, FOLLOW ME! That is the unending hope and the grace of God, for people like me. Who are weak but yet strong in Him. I know I am a Simon Peter and its my prayer that all of us that identify with Simon shall be transformed into the Solid Rock #SpiritualBread
  2. How does God build Character? Study the story of Joseph PHASE 1: A DREAM God gives you a dream: an idea, goal, or ambition. Every great accomplishment first begins as a God-given dream in someone’s mind. “God is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of - infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” Eph 3:20 (LB) PHASE 2: DECISION A dream is worthless until you decide to do something about it. For every ten dreamers, there’s only one decision-maker. This is the moment of truth where you decide to invest your time, money, energy, and reputation - and to let go of security. If you want to walk on water, Your own answers:Unit 1: The Importance and Meaning of Integrity Page 13 you’ve got to get out of the boat! “You must believe and not doubt … a double-minded man is unstable in all he does.” James 1:6 and 8 (GN) PHASE 3: DELAY There is ALWAYS a time lapse before your dream becomes reality. God uses this waiting period to teach you to trust Him. Remember: a delay is not a denial. Maturity is the ability to understand the difference between “no” and “not yet.” God says, “These things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!” Hab 2:3 (LB) PHASE 4: DIFFICULTY Now the problems start popping up. The two most common types: critics and circumstances. Don’t worry! It’s all a part of God’s plan. “At the present you may be temporarily harassed by all kinds of trials. This is no accident - it happens to prove your faith, which is infinitely more valuable than gold.” 1 Pet. 1:6-7 (Ph) PHASE 5: DEAD-END! Your situation will deteriorate from difficult to IMPOSSIBLE! You'll find yourself backed into a corner; you reach the end of your rope. The situation looks hopeless. Congratulations! You're on the edge of a miracle. Trust God. “At that time we were completely overwhelmed … in fact we told ourselves that this was the end. Yet, we now believe we had this sense of impending disaster so that we might learn to trust - not in ourselves - but in God who can raise the dead.” 2 Cor. 1:8-9 (Ph) PHASE 6: DELIVERANCE! God provides a supernatural answer. Miraculously things fall into place! God loves to turn crucifixions into resurrections so you can see His greatness. “I expect the Lord to deliver me once again so I will see his goodness to me ….” Ps. 27:13 5
  3. Here is my favorite Scripture of all times. Matthew:16.19 "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Keys represent access, they represent authority, they are the true representation of power placed within your hands. And with this power you can open or lock. You have the full authority not only to access, but also to give access to others. What keys have you been holding of resent? Have you allowed misery and worry creep in on you? Even in times such as this, it takes having the right keys to stay on top of the game. With the right keys in your hands, your confidence whether its job security or necessities, will not be shaken. It takes faith to know that you have been given this authority, and this power as a believer to have dominion, to bind and loosen. So use your keys if you believe. But If you have never believed, you are tired of being anxious, you lack the peace the surpasses all human understanding. You feel you want to come to rest and stop fighting to make ends meet. There is a better way to do that. Just believe in Jesus Christ as Lord. Have faith and dare to believe that there is light and the end of your dark tunnel. And a king such as the anointed one of God - Jesus Christ can give you too, these Keys to be in charge and control of your life. Read John 1:1-13
