Light Bearer

Amen, Yet God has said; Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. FOR I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.....SO Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ (the word) down from above: ) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ (the word) again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word (Christ)is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; For Christ (Through which the word, the law is in the heart, mind and mouth) is the end of the law (on tables of stone and parchment) for righteousness to every one that believeth. Good afternoon everyone. What, if the Gospel of Matthew was all we had. What could be ascertained in regards to the Law that Jesus is speaking about in Matt 5:17. Bear with me please. Let's start in verse 14. The Subject of 14 through 17 is light. That does not change until verse 18. Then the subject changes to Heaven. But only briefly. So what does our Savior tell us about light? What is it and what is it's purpose?
