Greetings~ Yesterday was my first baking day. I cheated this year and bought the frozen when ready to bake kind. I cut out sugar cookies, baked them and even got them frosted. I baked choclate chip cookies, two different brands. I took butterscotch morsels melted them down and add two cups of frosted flakes. Mixed the flakes into the morsels and let them set. MmmmmmGood! I have some choclate morsels and on my next baking day I will prepare them the same way. I will be making a ginger cookie too. I put a bunch of the cookies I made into a tin container. Will be mailing them off to my Mom this afternoon. I will be making up some pouches of cookies and sharing them with my neighbours. Is any one else baking this month? Snow4JC

Greetings~ I keep on thinking about the Advent of HIS Second Coming. Someone started the W.W.J. D. (What Would Jesus Do!) Mabye a small pinned bow made in pink and purple colors? I am just brain storming, I guess. Snow

Greetings~ T'was the night before Christmas and all through the town Not a sign of Baby Jesus was anywhere to be found. The people were all busy with Christmas time chores Like decorating, and baking, and shopping in stores. No one sang, "Away in a manger, no crib for a bed" Instead they sang of Santa dressed- up in red. Mama watched Martha Stewart, Papa drank beer from a tap. As hour upon hour the presents they'd wrap. When what from the T.V. did they suddenly hear? 'Cept an ad.. which told of a big sale at Sears. So away to the mall they flew like a flash... Buying things on credit... and others with cash! And, as they made their way home From their trip to the mall, Did they think about Jesus? Oh, no...not at all. Their lives were so busy with their Christmas time things No time to remember Christ Jesus, the King! There were presents to wrap Cookies to bake. How could they stop and remember who died for their sake? To pray to the Savior... they had no time to stop Because they needed more time, to "Shop til they dropped!" On Wal-mart! On K-mart! On Target! On Penney's! On Hallmark! On Zales! A quick lunch at Denny's. From the big stores downtown to the stores at the mall, They would dash away, dash away, and visit them all! And up on the roof, there arose such a clatter, As grandpa hung icicle lights upon his new step ladder. He hung lights that would flash. He hung lights that would twirl. Yet, he never once prayed to Jesus... Light of the World. Christ's eyes...how they twinkle! Christ's Spirit...how merry! Christ's love...how enermous! All our budens...He'll carry! So instead of being busy, overworked and uptight.. Let's put Christ back in Chistmas and Enjoy some good nights! ~Author Unknown~ Snow4JC

Greetings~ White House Christmas card made it right into the Grand Rapids Press. It seems the right winged Christians are not happy with this year's card. They were uspet that Bush was able to say the word "Christmas" in public, yet sent out a card reading, "Happy Holidays!" The Grand Rapids Press is the newspaper I receive and read. *Snow4JC************** ***********************

Greetings~ As some of you know I have been helping my neighbour Lois, with different things for Christmas. The battery on her car went dead. I found myself telling her I would buy her a new battery. We went out last night. I bought her the battery. Now she can go grocery shopiing without me. So for a short time I was able to wear my Angel wings. What a feeling? I would advise you all to try and where the Angel wings a few times this season. Snow4JC

Please get real --- I spoke the truth about the White House Christmas card. I saw a news report on this topic. So I chose to share it with you. The reporter was the one who was amazed at the Pres., leaving the word "Christmas" out of the White house card. I was not trying to delete Jesus from Christmas. He is the Son of God. Maybe you should make sure your eyeglasses are clean, before you read another post of mine. Snow

Greetings~ Pres. Bush may call the tree in front of the White House, a Chritmas tree. However his Christmas card, says "Happy Holidays!" Just another way to delete Christ Jesus. Snow4JC

Greetings~ It takes a very long time for Traditions to be Changed. I would like to see the card companies come out with cards honoring the birth of Jesus the Christ. "During this Winter Season, Remember the Birth of Our Lord, Jesus The Christ" May His Presence Remind you of HIS Love and Joy! (This is off the top of my head and just a suggestion) Ofcourse, it takes a big push from people who love Christ! Snow4JC

Greetings~ Here in Michigan it is \\\\\\COLD\\\\\\ and snowy. Here where I live we have some snow on the ground, not much however, the next few days the snow is susposed to increase. Haven't seen much of the sun. Could use a couple of sunny days. Spruce up everyone's attitudes. Snow4JC

Greetings~ Around the end of December many people will celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savor, Jesus The Christ. Do people really show a good example when it comes to celebrating the Advent of Our Lord's Birth? Some may say "yes" while others may say "no!" If people can't come to grips with the Advent of His Birth, how well they ever get it together for the Adevnt of His Second Coming? To me, The Advent of His Second Coming, should be a very Holy anticapation. By the time Our Lord returns, His ministry should be in everyone's heart and life. There should be-"No Hungry children" on this earth, if everyone is walking the pathway of Jesus. Snow4JC

Greetings~ I was just wondering how well do you know your neighbours? My neighbour to the east of me, Pam, is presently out of work. She is a JWitness, and is alittle hard to approach. She has been on my mind. I have been wondering if she had enogh food and money for her bills. Today, she knocked on my door because a piece of my mail was in her mail box. The window was opened up - so I asked her if she had enough food and money - she said yes and thanked me for asking. The neighbour to my southwest, Mark, came over the other day. He wanted to know if I had any pipe tape, because he had to replace his water heater. I didn't have any tape, and told him so. Yet I did ask him if he had enough money to purchase the tape since he lives on a limited budget. The neighbour to the south of me, Dick is feeding a house full of grandchildren and a daughter on a very little Social Security check. Dick has borrowed money from me. He has paid me back on time. Sometimes I will go thru my freezer, and take things out to give to him. I share my can goods and when I bake - cookies. The neighbour to my west, Lois, also lives on a little Social Security check. I don't like to eat out by myself, so I invite Lois to come along. As I said in another message here on the forum. I am helping her as much as I can. These samples are examples of what Our Lord, Christ Jesus said, "Love your neighbour as you love yourself!" Snow

Greetings~ Before Thanksgiving, everyone was talking about Black Friday. At first I didn't understand what it meant. Then I heard it referred to Sales and shopping. Black Friday is the day that business owners hope to clear a profit. However, if you look back thru history, Black Friday was known for bloody battles. Snow4JC
