John 14: 16-17 the promise God made to his apostles. This has been proven in acts 8, 19, 11 and 10. John 14: 17 ”The Helper is the Spirit of truth. The people of the world cannot accept him, because they don’t see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you.” This authority was not given to everyone on earth. This was given to the apostles only. Those who have the authority can continue on with the work. It is a work that Jesus gave them to do and that work happen when only the apostles preach and prayed. There is no other medium that Holy Spirit came down on people. Where there is an apostles, the Holy Spirit came down so the promise can be fulfilled. Thank you.

compliance with the word of God is the best way Well, compliances with the word of God and thus we have to comply with John 3: 5-8 as it is a must that we must comply with. We must also comply with John 14: 16-17 and understand what it means, and the meaning of it is that people of the world will not accept the Holy Spirit, see or know it but it will be with the apostle only. This pass to us a message about Holy Spirit being with Apostles only. Jesus knew all his apostles would die yet he made the above promise and that means something is missing along the puzzle. It could be because, that is how God want according to God’s plan and this could mean there is possibility that God may have a plan in the future. This is why Jesus mentioned in Matthew 21 verse 43 (also see Matthew 23: 37:39) that the Kingdom of God will be taken away from the Israelites and will be given to other people which this very Kingdome will be established in the last days as Daniel saw in his dream (Daniel 2: 34-35 and 44-45). Having John 14 verse 16 to 17 in mind, we must also comply with Luke 24 verse 49 where his apostles must stay in Jerusalem and do not leave the Jerusalem before they receive the Holy Spirit from above. They will only leave Jerusalem only when they receive Holy Spirit otherwise not thus, they must not live. So holy spirit came down and they receive the Holy Spirit. However, there are some people who have head the world of God and they believe in Jesus Christ but they did not receive the Holy Spirit when Holy Spirit came down (Acts 8: 14). Why? Because Jesus did not promise that that they could automatically receive Holy Spirit when Holy Spirit came down even if they heard the word of God, believe in Jesus and Baptize in water but only His apostle will receive it. That is why when the apostle prayed for other believers who heard the word of God, believe in Jesus and baptized in water receive the Holy Spirit (acts 8: 14-16; 19: 1-7). Now in order for us to comply with all the words of God we must understand the above facts otherwise we are ignoring the words of God which are in John 14:16-17; Luke 24: 49, acts 8:14-16 and Act 19: 1-7. If we ignore the truth that the text tries to reveal to us then it means we are not complying with the all the words of God thus we could easily mislead others. Now, look at this fact, John 14: 26, the text says that the spirit of the truth will teach us everything and we will not be confused. if we are not confused then why do we form many churches and worship the same God in many churches. Why didn’t we have same way of worship and same understand of all the bible text. God is not many thus we should form many churches on earth—we should be one and worship under one roof. All these means that there is something missing. Look at Luke 12 verse 12 that says “Holy Spirit will teach you all that you should say”. Yes, but yet we have different interpretation of the bible and have many questions and some even confused and ask questions. If we all had receive the Holy Spirit then everting should come from Holy Spirits and we would not have many doubts and also ask many questions and sometimes confuse and we should not have many interpretations of the bible as we all should be on the same page and we should not form many churches to worship the same God. If Holy Spirit had taught us all that we should say then why are we not on the same page of interpretations and also worship the same God in one church. All things that we say and do indicated that something is missing. The text about 1 Corinthians 12: 1-14 is all about the experiences of those who have receive Holy Spirit in the beginning and or when apostles preached and prayed for them and they received Holy Spirit. We cannot use the text in 1 Corinthians 12 verse 1-14 to says that we are same as they are. The reason being that Jesus only Promised His apostle’s that they could receive the Holy Spirit and not the rest of the people. This promise has been fulfilled when the apostles preached or prayed and Holy Spirit came down on those who heard the Good news, believed in Jesus Christ and Baptized in water. Holy Spirit never went to the people unnecessarily to those who heard the Good news, believe in Jesus and baptized in water to fulfill Jesus’ promise in John 14 verses 16-17. Thank you and God bless.

Thank you for the comment. The promise of Jesus came from the Father through Jesus Christ and to the apostles. The words of Jesus that made up the promise are as flows: “John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” (This is the promise from the father, John 14: 16-17). This promise, no one can either add nor subtract or ignore it. John 14:16-17 16 I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever. 17 The Helper is the Spirit of truth. The people of the world cannot accept him, because they don’t see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you. This is another promise from the Father that came through Jesus Christ and to all of us. This promise is a must condition and firm requirement (John 3: 5-8). This is the promise that no one can either add nor subtract or ignore it. John 3: 5: "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." Because of Jesus's Promise in John 14:16-17, The apostles prayed for the people and so that they could receive the Holy Spirit (acts 8: 16-17). This is the clear evident that the Holy Spirit came down because of the apostles through Jesus Christ from the father. Acts 8: 16-17: 16 These people had been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, but the Holy Spirit had not yet come down on any of them. This is why Peter and John prayed. 17 When the two apostles laid their hands on the people, they received the Holy Spirit. Acts 19: 6: 6 Then Paul laid his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came on them. They began speaking different languages and prophesying. Acts 11:15: 15 “After I began speaking, the Holy Spirit came on them just as he came on us at the beginning. Acts 10: 44:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came down on all those who were listening to his speech. God the father and Jesus Christ gave the Holy Spirit to the people through the Apostles. Therefore, this also means that the Holy spirit came through the Apostles. There is not other Medium that Holy Spirit came down. Thus, we can not ignore this fact. If we ignore this fact then we are misleading. God bless

Dear all; I am really happy with your opinions especially the bible texts that you have provided. Those of you who have comment, I have few things to discuss. See below. -- In Act 1: 1-20 the apostles were waiting for the Holy Spirit to come down and they prayed while waiting. When the Holy Spirit came down on the people, they were baptized in the Holy Spirit (act 1:5). Verse 5 says: “5 John baptized people with water, but in a few days, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”. so, the coming down of Holy Spirits on the people is the baptism of the Holy Spirit which the people had received. Paul was also baptizing people with the Holy Spirit (ACT 19:1-7). Paul asked them what baptism the people received. Paul asked this question because there are two baptisms as indicated in John chapter 3: verses 5-8 and Acts 1 verse 5. The people replied and said they had received John’s baptism which is the water baptized. Then later Paul prayed for them and they received the Holy Spirit baptism. Coming of the Holy Spirit when on the people is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This power or work was given to the Apostle only (John 14: 16-17). In the presence of the apostles’ holy spirit came down. When all the apostles died the work they did, baptizing the people in the Holy Spirit, did not last. However, the good news spread. Paul was teaching the people of Corinthians who have already received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit from above about what they should do when they gather together. At this time the apostles were still there. The instructions Paul gave them are in 1 Corinthians 12: 1-14 and 1 Corinthian 14: 1-12. In these two texts, Paul was talking about the gift of the Holy Spirit. These very gifts that Paul referred to came from above in the beginning at Jerusalem or when in the presences of the apostles when they preached or praying. Paul knew that the people had already received the Gift of the Holy Spirit from Heaven thus he instructed them on how to use them. Paul did not give the people the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the second time or Paul did not prayed for the people the second time so that they could receive the gift of the Holy Spirit for the second time but Paul know they had already received it which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit that came from above. Now, we are discussing the experiences of the Holy Spirit when the apostles were still alive where they could pray or preach and people could receive the Holy Spirit to fulfill John 14:16-17. Also, those experiences about the Holy Spirit and Discussion about the Holy Spirit in the bible were about those people who already received the Holy Spirit either from time when the Holy Spirit came down or when the apostles preached and prayed for them. Comparing their experiences and ours, we try to make the people in the past the same as us. However, in our case, none of the apostles have prayed for us nor have we been there in Jerusalem when the Holy Spirit came down. When looking carefully at the Acts 8 verse 14-16 and Acts 19: 1-7, the people there heard the God new, they believe, and they received water baptism but none of them have received the Holy Spirit. We are also the same, we heard the good news of Jesus Christ, we then believed, and we baptized in water but then we say we have received the Holy Spirit. However, for those people in the past, the apostle was there and preached or prayed for them and they could receive the Holy Spirit but how about us. The Bible text that all of you have posted in the comment is all about the experience of the Holy Spirit that those people who have already received the Holy Spirit when the apostles were still alive. Their experiences about the Holy Spirit are written and seen in the Bible and we use them to support our views. The people have heard Good news of Jesus Christ, they Believed and they were baptized in water, but they did not receive the Holy Spirit. The people receive the Holy Spirit in the presence of the Apostle when the apostles were preaching or praying. Many texts in the Bible are about after the people receive the Holy Spirit. Why didn’t the people who heard Good News, Believed, and baptized in water receive the Holy Spirit. This happened to full fill John 14: 16-17 because the Holy Spirit was with the apostles only; John 14: 16-17 “16 I will ask the father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever. 17 The Helper is the Spirit of truth. The people of the world cannot accept him, because they don’t see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you.” But all the apostles died. Thank you

Dear Everyone; Than you very much for your views and comments. I really appreciate them. I am not against anyone but I would love to see everyone to read. Do not think that I am mean or against anyone when reading down. After you read just think about it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the past before Jesus came down on earth, theses prophecies where there about coming of Jesus such as;. 1. 2 Samuel 3: 13-14: 12 “‘When your life is finished, you will die and be buried with your ancestors. But then I will make one of your own children become the king. 13 He will build a house for my name, and I will make his kingdom strong forever. 2. Isaiah 16: 5: 5 Then a new king will come. He will be from David’s family. He will be loyal, loving, and kind. He will be a king who judges fairly. He will do what is right and good. 3. Isaiah 7: 14 14 But the Lord will still show you this sign: The young woman is pregnant and will give birth to a son. She will name him Immanuel. Despite the prophecies above, people go again Jesus saying; a. Son of carpenter Matthew 13:55 Isn’t he just the son of the carpenter we know? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? —meaning that he isn’t the king that they expected. Or they did not see the king, instead they held on to what they already know. b. People say that we already have the law of Moses and are sons and daughters of Abraham—meaning that they came from God and know everting and they did not need to know about anything new that Jesus is trying to say. “John 8:37 I know you are Abraham’s descendants. But you want to kill me, because you don’t want to accept my teaching.” c. People talk in a way that they have already been saved and they are not ready to know about new things which Jesus was trying to say and established. As a result, many Jews who hold on to their past knowledge including laws and believes killed the sons of God. They find that the teaching of Jesus is something new or strange thus they did not accept Well, some based their actions on the prophecies such as there is no other God apart from the Lord your God. The very people who receive laws from God, who are called descendant of God, and followed God go against Jesus. These people even mistreated Jesus. To them, the teaching of Jesus was going against what they already know, have, heard, and believe. Thus, they also based their argument on the bible AND Law to mistreated Jesus. (Matthew 12:2-5; Luke 6: 1-2). My points is that; I am not against Sabbath but my point is that people already heard the laws, and also know God and followed God and they did not want to see/know/hear something new/strange. However, the new and strange things that they did not what to hear is the things that will really help them enter Kingdome of God. This indicated that what they already know binds them from knowing anything that is new thus prevent them to be saved. The bible says those things that happen in the past will happen again Ecclesiastes 3: 15. Today, people do the same things; People hold on to what they already know and they begin to argue which then makes them not to accept something new or anything that is strange or anything that they did not know. Their points of argument are always based on Bible.

This is what I said; "In my opinion, I believe that the work of the Holy Spirit will begin in the last days. However, before I go ahead and support my view with bible texts, I would like to receive your opinion." Do you understand the worlds in bold print?

People have different opinion and I have mine which I put it up. I am really appreciating your opinion and views. I have nothing to against it. You support your opinion with Bible text and so I also supporting my opinion and views with Bible text. I can not disagree with yours. I am happy. God bless. Thank you

John 3: 5 5 Jesus answered, “Believe me when I say that everyone must be born from water and the Spirit. Anyone who is not born from water and the Spirit cannot enter God’s kingdom. So they sent Peter and John to the people in Samaria. 15 When Peter and John arrived, they prayed for the Samaritan believers to receive the Holy Spirit. 16 These people had been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, but the Holy Spirit had not yet come down on any of them. This is why Peter and John prayed. 17 When the two apostles laid their hands on the people, they received the Holy Spirit. In Ephesus he found some other followers of the Lord. 2 He asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” These followers said to him, “We have never even heard of a Holy Spirit!” 3 Paul asked them, “So what kind of baptism did you have?” They said, “It was the baptism that John taught.” 4 Paul said, “John told people to be baptized to show they wanted to change their lives. He told people to believe in the one who would come after him, and that one is Jesus.” 5 When these followers heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 Then Paul laid his hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came on them. They began speaking different languages and prophesying. 7 There were about twelve men in this group.

People say, for many reasons, that they are Christians. However, to be a full Christian one must Believe in Jesus Christ, be baptized in water, and finally, receive the Holy Spirit (John 3: 5-8). These are the three things that certify one to be called a Christian. Many people believed in Jesus Christian and were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ but they did not receive the Holy Spirit. Now many of you out there can point out as many bible texts to say that we have received the Holy Spirit but I would like to bring a few texts together that support that we have not received the Holy Spirit thus we are yet to be confirmed as Christian. Now, some of you may disagree with me and I accept your opinion but please consider my views and the text that support the views. First of all, we must believe that Jesus Christ is our savior who saved us from our sins in our heart ( and they are much text that supports this). After believing in Jesus Christ, one must be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ ( also many text support this which I am not putting it up). Finally, one must receive the Holy Spirit to be called a full Christian ( John 3: 5-8). Jesus promised his disciples that he will send to them a helper which is the Holy Spirit (John 14: 16-17) and the people of the world can not receive it, know, and see. The disciples only will receive the Holy Spirit. Before Jesus went up to heaven he asked his disciples to go to Jerusalem and stay there and they must not go out unless they receive Holy Spirit that he will send to them (Luke 24: 49). This means after they receive the Holy Spirit they will go out otherwise they will not. Jesus sends to them the Holy Spirit (act 33: 3; act 1; 1-4 and act 2_ 1-4). From Jerusalem, the apostles heard that some of the people in Samaria believed in Jesus Christ so they sent Peter and John which means the apostles had already received the Holy Spirit thus they went out leaving Jerusalem, (Acts 8: 14). Peter and John went out and prayed for the Samaritan believers to receive the Holy Spirit. This means that when Holy Spirit first came down the believers in Samaria did not receive the Holy Spirit. In verse 16 it says; "These people had been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, but the Holy Spirit had not yet come down on any of them. This is why Peter and John prayed." this means that they heard the good news, they believed in Jesus Christ and they baptized in water but they did not receive the Holy Spirit when the holy spirit came down. Acts 8 verse 16 gives the full meaning of John 14 verses 16 to 17 which says people of the world will not know, see and receive the Holy Spirit but only the apostles will. verse 17 says only when the apostles prayed for them (people) did they receive the Holy Spirit. Paul did the same things in Ephesus as Peter and John. Paul asks the people that did they receive the Holy Spirit when they believe. The people replied and said they have not heard of the Holy Spirit. Then he asked them what baptism did they receive. They replied to Paul and said, John's baptism, which is the water baptism. This means that they had not received the Holy Spirit when the people heard the good news, believe in Jesus Christ, and Baptize in water. Only when the time the apostles prayed for the people they have received the Holy Spirit. As indicated in the above scripture, the apostles were given the work of praying for the people so that they could receive the Holy Spirit as the Holy Spirit was only given to the Apostles and not everyone, (John 14: 16-17). However, when persecution spread (Acts 11: 19), most of the apostles have been killed, (acts 7: 57-60; Acts 8: 1-3). In Antioch, people were arguing with the apostles ( acts 15: 1-18) and they decided to wrote letters, Acts 15: 19: "19 “So I think we should not make things hard for those who have turned to God from among the non-Jewish people. 20 Instead, we should send a letter telling them only the things they should not do:.". Paul, Peter, John, and other apostle hide and begin to write the letter which we now see in the Bible the letters they wrote which makes up the news testament. We do know the apostles died, however, the Good news spread to the world but the work of the Holy Spirit the apostles carry out did not spread. Now in my opinion today, people in the world who heard the Good news, believe in Jesus Christ, and were baptized in water did not receive the Holy Spirit to fully become Christians and enter the Kingdome of God, (John 3: 5-8). therefore, some still ask questions about Holy Spirit and about becoming Christians. In my opinion, I believe that the work of the Holy Spirit will begin in the last days. However, before I go ahead and support my view with bible texts, I would like to receive your opinion. Before you give your opinion, you may try to give many explaining to convince me or the audience that we have received the Holy Spirit despite the above text and views that I have laid out, but I have gone through all the bible text that you will provide from Geneses to Revelation over and over. I have also used many Christian blogs and google searches to search individual words such as Christina and Holy Spirit over and over and I understanding them. You may give your best explanation from many different angles but I have gone through all of them and I refer to the above views that I have provided. Thank you.
