Romans Eleven: 16-18 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19-21 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. Wisdom would dictate that one learn the significance of "being cut off from Israel" from the Testimony of the Word of God. An example: Exodus Twelve: 14 So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance. 15 Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses. For whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.

Ephesians Four: 8 Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.” 9 Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints. for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ A consistent shortcoming that I have found in the comprehension of sound apostolic doctrine is the failure to perform due diligence when investigating the Old Testament scriptures being quoted by a New Testament author. Here Paul is quoting from Psalm 68: KJV:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them. Now observe how a modern translator maligns this verse: NKJV:18 You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive; You have received gifts among men, Even from the rebellious, That the Lord God might dwell there. Right! Because Christ needed us to bestow gifts upon Him. And what might the Rebellious have to offer? Note that the key omission is that the gifts, which are ID'd as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, enable the Presence of God to dwell among us. In other words, these spiritual leaders must keep the spirit of rebellion in check for the Holy Spirit to minister effectively in our fellowship. And yet, so many times I have heard Ministers state that they keep themselves from certain people who "mess with their Anointing" because they have a rebellious spirit. Amen... Do your job! Selah. It would be wonderful if conversion to the Faith instantly turned people into gentle, eager to please children of God. Up next, how spiritual flaws identify themselves when they reflect our own and show us where there lies a need for attention, to "remove the plank from our own eye" that we might assist others with the perfect law of liberty, or may I say liberation! This is what Paul means here: 2 Corinthians Ten: 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. In other words, when we find someone in the midst of our fellowship that "gets under our skin" (a wonderful turn of phrase!), our first reaction must be to seek the Lord concerning our own shortcomings, as our reaction to them is an acknowledgement of ourselves being reflected in others. Otherwise, you judge yourself. This is what Paul means here: Romans 2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. Notice he does not say "if you do the same", the fact that you are judging another reveals your own flaw, and you are actually condemning yourself. Selah.

Ezekiel Twelve: 1 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 2 Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, which has eyes to see but does not see, and ears to hear but does not hear; for they are a rebellious house. As the original apostles became "the aged elders" many began to speak against the second coming. Second Peter Three: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. During the latter end of days, we are warned that many will try to hasten the day and claim, "now is the time of His coming for His Church". Matthew Twenty-Four: 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or Look, He is in the inner rooms! do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. The Rebellious House Ezekiel Twelve: 21 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 22 Son of man, what is this proverb that you people have about the land of Israel, which says, ‘The days are prolonged, and every vision fails’? 23 Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord God: I will lay this proverb to rest, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel. But say to them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision. 24 For no more shall there be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25 For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it, says the Lord God. Let those with ears hear what the Spirit speaks to the Churches. What I say unto one, I say unto all, Watch and Pray. John Nine: 41 Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

There is an unusual prophecy that I have always figured was interpreted as a metaphor, but had a hunch there was more to it. As the use of deep penetration bombs is now on the table in Northern Iran, I was drawn back into considering the potential for an ecological disaster resulting from blowing up an underground nuclear enrichment facility. Besides the most obvious concern for widespread radioactive contamination. And then I remembered the unique characteristics associated with the Caspian Sea and the instability of the land to its south. Thank you World Geography 101. Jeremiah Fifty-One: 24 And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the Lord. While the city of Babylon was in Iraq, the land of the Chaldees extends eastward into Iran, and is a part of this "land of the Ziggurats". Here is the verse (#42) that has caused me to be wondering. 41 “Oh, how Sheshach is taken! Oh, how the praise of the whole earth is seized! How Babylon has become desolate among the nations! 42 The sea has come up over Babylon; She is covered with the multitude of its waves.??? 43 Her cities are a desolation, A dry land and a wilderness, A land where no one dwells, Through which no son of man passes. Here are some facts I have dug up to consider: Vulnerable topography of Northern Iraq and Iran Evidence: City of Gorgan: A sinkhole in Gorgan, a city in Northern Iran, caused ground subsidence that swallowed two vehicles. Hamedan Province: Research specifically highlights the formation of cover collapse sinkholes in the plains of Kabudrahang and Famenin in Northern Hamedan, due to factors like groundwater depletion and the presence of karstified limestone bedrock. Lar Dam site: The area surrounding the Lar Dam site, also in Northern Iran, has experienced the formation of large sinkholes. Causes: Excessive Groundwater Withdrawal: Over-pumping of groundwater for various purposes, particularly agriculture and industry, leads to aquifer depletion and soil compaction, making the ground more susceptible to sinking. Karst Topography: Northern Iran's geological landscape includes karst areas, which are characterized by soluble rocks like limestone that can dissolve over time, forming underground cavities that can eventually collapse. Drought and Inefficient Water Management: Iran has experienced prolonged droughts, exacerbating the water crisis and contributing to the problem of subsidence and sinkhole formation. Faults and Fractures: The presence of faults and fractures in the bedrock can facilitate the dissolution of soluble rocks and the transport of sediments, contributing to sinkhole development. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................Tremendous quantity of water in the region. The Caspian Sea's maximum depth is 3,360 feet (1,025 meters). The sea is divided into three regions: the Northern Caspian, which is shallow, the Middle Caspian, and the Southern Caspian, which is the deepest part. The Northern Caspian averages 16 to 20 feet (5 to 6 meters) deep, while the Southern Caspian reaches depths of over 3,300 feet (1,000 meters), according to NASA Earth Observatory. One of Earth's most interesting natural features, the Caspian Sea is the largest inland body of water on the planet, defying conventional classifications to be both a sea and a lake. Stretching over 745 miles (1,200 km) from north to south and spanning a surface area of approximately 143,200 square miles (371,000 square km), the Caspian Sea holds the title of the world's largest inland body of water. 62 Then shalt thou say, O Lord, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever. 63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: 64 And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah. sink-H8257 saqa=to subside and overflow, drown, quench, sink. What man is doing and has continued to do is insanity, fraught with unpredictability. This on the other hand is not a prediction, just an attempt to think outside the box over the implications of "Blowing Stuff Up".

Precisely What Are You Anticipating To Receive As An Inheritance?
Mr. M replied to Mr. M's topic in Deeper Discourse's Forum
Wrongdoing will be recompensed against the "reward of inheritance". Second John: 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. -
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

Romans Eight: 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

After tracing the problem of sin in man to Adam's disobedience in Romans Five, the Spirit lays out in Romans Six what we must do to defeat sin in the flesh. In Romans Seven Paul presents why the Law was incapable of accomplishing this righteous requirement by which we find ourselves caught in the dilemma of sin dwelling in us (G3611-oikeo means to occupy). Sin does not simply abide in us, it is a homewrecker, heartbreaker seizing control as an occupying force for the cause of rebellion. The Spirit then uses the same word in Romans Eight to describe the fruit of Victory when sin has been put to death, and the Spirit Reigns, not simply abides. Again, the translation is normally 'dwell', which does not fully convey the war for peace in the soul. Herein is where the false doctrine presents itself. Time and time again I see people quoting Romans 8 in a classic "the Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it" by confessing favorite verses from this "beloved" chapter. This is often referred to as "name it, claim it" theology without any regard for the demands the Spirit places on the Saints in Romans 6 to defeat the dilemma of ch. 7 and enjoy the fruit of ch. 8. Jesus said "seek first the Kingdom and its righteousness", another popular and familiar verse. So how is the seeking accomplished? Thank you! Romans 6. The entire chapter lays out a full explanation of this endeavor, and leaves nothing optional, because in Romans 8 is where we see IF, stated several times. In other words, as we continue to strive and abide in Romans 6 works of righteousness, only then will we begin to see the fruit of Righteousness in Romans 8. 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. I am just speculating here, but I believe the issue could be the whole "slave" thing. A slave does not pay lip service to His Master's wishes, nor seeks fruit for their own benefit, but for the Household (of faith). James 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Let those who have ears hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. The degree to which you draw near to God in this life will define your nearness to Him in Eternal Glory. The Lord is our reward. Bringing Glory to the Name of the Son of God establishes that reward as an eternal inheritance.

Luke Fourteen: 7 So He told a parable to those who were invited, when He noted how they chose the best places, saying to them: 8 “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him; 9 and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place. 10 But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. Luke Twenty-Two: 26 But not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. 27 For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves. Psalm Fifteen: 1 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; 3 He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; 4 In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; 5 He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

The Inheritance of the Saints will be defined in accordance with this spiritual Law. Luke Fourteen: 11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. The Lord then offers an example of how to pursue that blessed result in life. 13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. 14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just. Our Nearness to God will define our experience of eternal reward. Psalm Twenty-four: 3 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Jeremiah 49: 34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, 35 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, The foremost of their might. 36 Against Elam I will bring the four winds From the four quarters of heaven, And scatter them toward all those winds; There shall be no nations where the outcasts of Elam will not go. 37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies And before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger,’ says the Lord; ‘And I will send the sword after them Until I have consumed them. 38 I will set My throne in Elam, And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord. 39 ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days: I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.” Whom shall sit on the throne of Elam? Jeremiah 33: 19 And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, 20 “Thus says the Lord: ‘If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that there will not be day and night in their season, 21 then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levites, the priests, My ministers. 22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.’ ” Is the Church the multiplying of the Levites, the sons of David, or both?

Jeremiah Fifty: 20 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve. I was intrigued this morning by the two following statements: 1 "Most Prophecy remains unfulfilled", 2 the House of Judah will not be forgiven and redeemed; If point 1 is verified, then point 2 should find overwhelming support, in that point 1 limits attempts to discard certain prophecies as fulfilled. This is particularly relevant to the close of Jeremiah's prophecies, since he spoke of Judah's captivity and return, and would be the most likely place where an interpreter might claim that a certain prophecy was fulfilled by the return of the captivity. Unless there are typos... Continuing in Jeremiah 50, a further context was established earlier in that scroll. 4 “In those days and in that time,” says the Lord, “The children of Israel shall come, They and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come, And seek the Lord their God. 5 They shall ask the way to Zion, With their faces toward it, saying, ‘Come and let us join ourselves to the Lord In a perpetual covenant That will not be forgotten.’ This prophecy suggests to me that all of Israel will be saved, especially Judah, for the sake of the House of David. I intend to continue to investigate this position as a project for today. The prophet Zechariah spoke to Judah after the return from captivity, and should provide a significant witness. Zechariah Ten: 6 “I will strengthen the house of Judah, And I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, Because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside; For I am the Lord their God, And I will hear them. Zechariah Twelve: 7 “The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8 In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them. 9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. I already feel as if I must be missing something important.

AI Overview Jewish repatriation, also known as Aliyah, began with small, organized movements in the late 19th century, with the First Aliyah starting in 1881-1882. This initial wave brought approximately 35,000 Jews to Ottoman Palestine, joining the existing Jewish community of 20,000-25,000. Larger waves of Aliyah followed, particularly after the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, with many Jews from Arab countries and displaced persons from Europe seeking refuge and new lives there. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Early Movements: Small groups of Zionists began returning to the Land of Israel in the late 19th century. The First Aliyah (1881-1903): Around 35,000 Jews immigrated to Ottoman Palestine during this period, primarily from Eastern Europe. Subsequent Aliyah Waves: Further waves of immigration followed, including the Second Aliyah (1904-1914) and Third Aliyah (1919-1923), with significant numbers of Jews arriving from Eastern Europe and Russia. Aliyah after WWII: The establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 triggered mass immigration, with hundreds of thousands of Holocaust survivors and Jews from Arab countries seeking refuge. Operation Magic Carpet and Operation Moses: These operations saw the mass immigration of Yemenite and Ethiopian Jews to Israel in the late 1940s and 1980s, respectively. Reparations and Compensation: West Germany began making reparations payments to Israel and Holocaust survivors in the 1950s, and continues to do so.

Harsh conditions: The Jewish pioneers of the First Aliyah faced challenges like disease, exposure, and malnutrition. They had to drain swamps, clear land, and adapt to new farming techniques. Physical challenges: Draining swamps and clearing land were major physical tasks for the immigrants. Diverse Perspectives: Beyond desolation: While some accounts emphasize desolation, others highlight the existence of bustling cities like Jaffa and Haifa, serene villages, and ancient olive groves. Economic activity: The First Aliyah did bring about some economic changes, with the establishment of agricultural settlements and the development of trade and commerce. Population: The Jewish population in Palestine grew from around 26,000 at the beginning of the First Aliyah to approximately 55,000 by its end. The First Aliyah's Impact: Revival of Hebrew: The First Aliyah contributed to the revival of Hebrew as a modern, spoken language. Settlements: Early rural settlements, called "moshavot," were established, and some, like Petach Tikva, were rebuilt. Zionism: The First Aliyah is considered the beginning of organized Zionism in Palestine, with the movement gaining momentum and political weight. In conclusion: The description of Palestine at the time of the First Aliyah varies depending on the perspective. While some emphasized desolation and harsh conditions, others highlighted the presence of diverse communities, agricultural activity, and cultural heritage. The First Aliyah played a significant role in shaping the region, bringing both challenges and progress.

The Voice of the Spirit Imparts Perfect Peace
Mr. M replied to Mr. M's topic in Deeper Discourse's Forum
No one can take the peace of God from you. While I am unshaken by someone else's opinion, I have to wonder how far up the ivory tower one has climbed to declare the source of error. As I have said before, and your posts reflect, we are called to share experiences, as our testimony. Someone who does not believe the Spirit of the Lord speaks to us invalidates their own position, as it is without faith or love of the brethren. Whether it be audibly (rare, if you are mindful), by conviction with the witness of God's Word (completely scriptural), or the word of the brethren when under the Anointing of Fellowship, (most important IN CHRIST) the admonition remains as written: "Today, if you hear His Voice, harden not your heart". Some only hear what they want to hear, but expect to be listened to and adhered to, and accept the accusation that it is you who are introducing error. The hundreds of threads that I have originated just this year alone after time with the Lord testify to attentive listening, and I will stand on that testimony, regardless of who approves. Romans 8:33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. -
Psalms 32: 6 For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You. In a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters they shall not come near him. 7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah The godly person knows that the time for prayer and worship is today. We cannot anticipate everything that may come our way, but we can prepare ourselves. To be preserved from trouble in Him, as our hiding place, we can walk upon great waters. Have you taken the time to listen to the voices of those who surround you with their songs of deliverance? Hebrews 12: 1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the originator and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. We acknowledge that we are members of the body of Christ, but have we entered into the fullness of experiencing Christ? You may have had the opportunity to worship in a large auditorium or stadium setting with tens of thousands, but only have experienced a shadow of heavenly worship. For He has made the Way for us, to come together at Mount Zion in heaven, to join our voices with all who have learned these songs of deliverance. Have we joined our voices with those who sing “Worthy Is The Lamb”? Revelation 5: 8-10 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals. For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth. 11-13 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing! And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: Blessing and honor and glory and power to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever! 14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. Where is the faith of those who do not take this invitation seriously? Has He not given us psalmists and musicians for us to say "the Lord is my strength and my song, He has become my salvation". It is for this reason also that Christ shed His blood. Hebrews 10: 19-21 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22-25 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some, but exhorting and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Times of "Praise and Worship" only establish a setting. You have to use your imagination. Hebrews 12: 22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect. The ancient tradition as an act of humility to approach someone held in high esteem, such as the throne of a King or Judge, is to bow seven times while drawing near. This means falling to your knees and placing your forehead on the ground. Stand, step, repeat. Try it some time, while imagining you are approaching the Throne of the King of kings. We are told in the epistle to the Hebrews to draw near the Throne of Grace. The Old Testament informs us how to do so with reverence. You will experience the Spirit of Grace and Glory come upon you, if your heart is contrite. AI Overview The act of bowing seven times while approaching a king is a powerful gesture of deep respect, submission, and humility, particularly in ancient cultures. This tradition is prominently featured in the Bible, specifically in the story of Jacob and Esau. In the story of Jacob and Esau (Genesis 33:3): Jacob, anticipating a potentially hostile encounter with his brother Esau, chooses to approach him with great humility. As he gets closer to Esau, Jacob repeatedly bows to the ground, seven times in succession. This multiple bowing is a significant act of self-abasement, acknowledging Esau's status and potentially mitigating any lingering resentment. Cultural Significance: In the ancient Near East, bowing was a common way to show deference and honor, especially towards those in positions of authority. The number seven, which symbolizes completeness or perfection in the Bible, likely suggests that Jacob's repeated bowing was a full and complete expression of his submission and desire for reconciliation. This gesture demonstrates Jacob's sincere desire to make amends and seek peace with Esau. Interpretation and Theological Implications: Jacob's act of bowing seven times can be seen as an example of humility and repentance, reflecting a willingness to submit to God's will and seek restoration in relationships. This gesture underscores the biblical principle of reconciliation and serves as a powerful reminder for believers to approach conflicts with humility and a desire for peace. Beyond the Biblical Narrative: Some sources suggest that the act of bowing seven times before a ruler, like Pharaoh, may have also signified acknowledging that person as having divine attributes. In general, bowing before a king was a traditional way to show respect, honor, and reverence, acknowledging their royalty and authority. Refusing to bow could be seen as disrespectful or even rebellious, as seen in the biblical account of Meshach, Shadrach, and Abed-nego refusing to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar's golden image

The Voice of the Spirit Imparts Perfect Peace
Mr. M replied to Mr. M's topic in Deeper Discourse's Forum
I believe the scriptures have answered this here: Anything not wrought in Christ will be destroyed... 1 Co 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Romans 2:5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God. This will be reflected in Glory. That concludes my response to this point of inquiry, which remains off topic in a discussion of how the Voice of the Spirit directs our Way. The thread was never about the age to come and what we remember. It is knowing Him now, in the power of the Resurrection for the enduring and overcoming the trials and temptations in this life.
