  1. Cold season winter greens are coming along. They'll grow much more slowly than warm season stuff, but I'll have some greens to throw in stews and beans in the midwinter.
  2. Warm season bunch came out really well this year. I'm doing some cool season stuff right now. I've got red Orach, mountain Orach, mustard greens, spinach, choi, arugula, Cherokee Red Lettuce, wild carrots, cilantro, Acelgas, garlic, green chives, snow peas, and dwarf Siberian Kale in right now for cool season. This was the warm season bunch and I just finished getting the last of the Cherokee pumpkins cut.
  3. Yeah, here it is. The paradigm is in Wm. B. Stevenson's Grammar of Palestinian Jewish Aramaic (1924). If you have a compound word with the initial Na at the beginning, it's going to morph like an initial nun verb. I'm thinking it's the simple participle with sere yod taw ending. That's very similar to the Hebrew, but the Aramaic of the period tends to retain the full vowel letters. Matthew is simply writing Nazareith (Prayer Rising) in its Aramaic form as it was called in his time. I knew it was some kind of Aramaic participle. It had to be. It's just a very New Testament / Targum era Aramaic participle.
  4. Here is my replica of the Qumran sundial. After working with it for a while, I've come to understand its uses. It keeps the hour of the day after the fashion of any sundial, but it also has 30 notches to keep track of the lunar day with a piece of string as I suspect they were using flax thread wrapped similarly to how I have it here. You can also keep days of the week by making a wrap per day with another string. It does in fact mark solstices, equinoxes, and crossquarters at the solar noon hour as well so you can always keep track to see if you need to add an additional lunar month if your count has come to about 30 days beforehand. Not a bad piece of kit for 2000 years old.
  5. Well, it's very politically incorrect, you see. You can't just go and start critiquing people's King James Bibles and not catch some heat. You have centuries of tradition to sift through. People do not easily part with tradition. However, Matthew here in his Gospel witnesses to the true textual tradition. The Septuagint also indicates that the word was the hour of Prayer Rise, Na-Zareth, and Anatola. When all is said and done, I see how God has preserved his Word through the Apostle. If Matthew were not so explicit, the word might have been lost forever.
  6. Caution is definitely in order when studying prophecy from the Masoretic. They are known to have been quite liberal about changing text in the 4th century to obfuscate against Christianity. The Septuagint is a good copy to have on hand, because I'm telling you the Masoretic text is corrupt in many instances. The Dead Sea Scrolls are closer to the original than the MT.
  7. The great objection to Jesus being of Nazareth is that there is no town called Nazareth mentioned in the Old Testament. That is true. There is no town called Nazareth mentioned in the Old Testament because it did not exist in the Old Testament. So, what are we saying? Are we saying that Zechariah 3:8 originally prophesied of a name of one to come called Nazareth some four centuries before the Galilean settlement of Nazareth even existed? Yes. His name is Jesus of Nazareth.
  8. Now, you will probably find yourself asking, But what Hebrew feminine ending is with yod and a tav? The answer is none. But in Aramaic there is that verbal ending. And it stands to reason that the old spelling we find in Shem-Tob's Matthew would be the first century spelling of this Aramaic speaking north Galilean settlement. Nazareth didn't even exist until the 1st century BC. And its language was wholly the Aramaic of the Galilee region. What this demonstrates is that Shem-Tob's copy of Matthew comes from the 1st century original manuscript of Matthew. For if it was a late translation into Hebrew from the Greek, Nazareth would have been spelled with the common 'eth' ending instead of the Syriac ending 'ith'. Matthew made no mistake. He writes the correct Aramaic name of the town 'Nazarith'.
  9. If you want to learn the New Song, it is freely available. But do be cautious to follow the original words and meter without deviation. Otherwise you will miss the rhythm and not be able to properly learn the New Song.
  10. Well heavenly Jerusalem/Mount Zion is coming to this earth, God will dwell as King on this earth. It already is on this earth and has been for 2000 years. It's called the kingdom of heaven. Revelation 5:9-10 And they sang a New Song saying, Worthy art thou the Scroll to now take, and the Seals thereof opening break. For thou wast slain and us hast ransomed to our God by Blood thy very own from all kindreds, tongues, peoples, nations; Us to our God kings & priests hast made, and on the earth is where they do reign.
  11. Revelation 21 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is within man, and he will dwell within them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be within them and be their God. 4And God himself shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5And he that sat upon the throne said, You see, I make all things new.
  12. Does the Temple of my God seem too small just because it resides within my Place of the Skull? Zechariah 4:10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice and shall see the plummet in the hand of He Who Comes out of Babel with the Seven Eyes, which are the Eyes of the LORD that run to and fro through the whole earth.
  13. Enter by the smaller entrance and not by the broad gate. The smaller entrance is exactly as big as that door right between your eyes. Follow the strait way paved with gold within and there you will find the Zion you have so long sought. And there you will find living waters in the House of your Father.
  14. Wherever the Ark of the Covenant is, there will be the Shekinah. And you will notice that it is not on earth anymore, because the Lord's House was raised to Heaven when Christ the High Priest of the New Covenant was raised to Heaven. He is not here anymore. He is risen. Revelation 11 9 And the Temple of God was opened in Heaven, and there was seen in His Temple the Ark of His Covenant: and there emerged lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
  15. Indeed in the last days the mountain of the LORD'S house has been raised above all the mountains. But earthly mount Zion is not above all the mountains, but rather heavenly mount Zion. The Lord's house is nowhere to be seen on earthly mount Zion, but it is fully seen to be on heavenly mount Zion. Where is mount Zion and the kingdom? Within you.
