When Jesus was explaining to Nicodemus about the wind, this is what he meant ,the Holy Spirit is like the wind, he is everywhere, you can’t see him and you don’t know where he is going,. What this means to a Born Again is, the Holy Spirit is like the wind, because he can turn up whenever he chooses ,and none of us knows what direction he is headed in, he can and does have huge impact in a persons life, just like the wind can, it can cause waves in the sea,etc,..so, when we become Born Again of Gods seed, we have no idea when he decides to Baptise us in the Spirit ....and when he does it has a huge impact on us, because at Baptism we have received that new nature in Christ. Unfortunately for some imo they wrongly interpret this scripture imo,I think they call it easy beleiveism...there is much more to being Born Again of imperishable seed than just belief, we must be Born Again ,our spirit is Born Again as we have no idea when the Holy Spirit will turn up or we don’t know where he goes...because he’s like the wind...that is my belief and testimony... John 3 King James Version 3 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit

Commentary. God sent the flood to judge the world at that time of heinous, continual, worldwide sin. Yes, He knew that the flood would not eradicate the sin problem and that mankind would remain sinful after the flood. But God was not done dealing with sin. He sent His Son into the world to disarm the powers of evil and make “a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” (Colossians 2:15). Because of Christ, the new heaven and new earth are promised (Revelation 21:1), and “no longer will there be any curse” (Revelation 22:3).

To receive our new nature in Christ...then we must be Born Again by Gods Living seed...the Holy Spirit....Spirit gives birth to spirit Let’s not go there? This is a discussion board, No...it says exactly what God’s word says it says. We are Born Again by the Living seed of God that’s his Living word.....Gods word isn’t dead.....the Living seed is ...The Holy Spirit....we are Born Again of incorruptable seed....which is the seed of God. 1 Peter 1 KJV 1 Peter 1:23 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

What it means is, we are descendants from Adam, therefore he was formed from dust, so all humans bodies will go back into the dust. Because all humans are related to Adam. He was the first of the human race.

What Does It Mean To Present Your Body As A Living Sacrifice?
LisaLola replied to Walter and Deborah's topic in Bible Study
Romans 12 New International Version A Living Sacrifice 12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Humble Service in the Body of Christ 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Love in Action 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e] 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. -
I apologise also...I think our flesh got the better of us. Dont you think it’s Amazing how God formed Adam out of dust? i really wasn’t understanding dust...which I now believe you were trying to help me understand,,.then we started arguing, lol. Now we’re back on track.
-
I am learning about “ Dust”. reading what it means in Gods word...a very interesting subject. Adam was formed from the dust of the ground...by the Living word of God...,” “ Amazing “ KJV Genesis 2:7 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Can you please STOP!!...and discuss the topic. i will leave you to admin.

Once again...rather than recognise you are continuing to now argue and starting to get very personal....rather than discuss the topic in hand,,,.,I have reported your post..... Not one of us knows everything in God’s word..we are all learning.. Arguing is not of God, in fact his word tells us not to argue.
-
Listen.,,..you are now getting very personal....and continue this silly back and forth childish behaviour and nonsense. Stick. with the topic in hand please.....
-
Gods word says so.as Gods word is a “ Living “ seed. The Holy Spirit, through Peter, also calls God's Word a seed: “Being born again, not of corruptible SEED, but of incorruptible, by the WORD of GOD, which lives and abides for ever” (1Pet.1:23). Just like a seed – the Bible is full of unseen life and transforming power.
-
You need to stop making assumptions...with a question mark. Your opinion of what I said seemed odd..,.and my opinion is, this sentence of yours, apart from ,what you said seemed odd...doesn’t make sense, imo. A seed is, what God says it is...just like the Holy Spirit, that is Gods Living word/seed.
-
You shouldn’t have thought it in the first place. it was an assumption,,,,so stop assuming! As Gods word says, our bodies return to the dust..I go by Gods word. The spirit returns to God.
-
So he was the first human formed by God....so, all mankind are descendants of Adam? Yes, I see you said that...to another member.....All humans came from Adam...

Our Ongoing Walk is just like our Initial Believing
LisaLola replied to Vine Abider's topic in General Discussion
https://goexplorethebible.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/1_ETB-blog-headers-1024x559.jpg You’ll not find the word sanctification in Paul’s Letter to the Galatians. The process of sanctification, however, is what Paul describes in chapter 5 as the outworking of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life. One of the Holy Spirit’s functions in the believer’s life is to cultivate Christian character, to transform us more and more into the likeness of Christ. This is sanctification, and this is foundational to the teaching of Galatians 5. Here are five things we need to know and teach about sanctification: 1. Sanctification is the work of God. All our efforts toward holiness are useless apart from (1) the work of Christ on the cross (Heb. 10:10) and (2) the work of God’s Spirit in us. Paul highlighted the Holy Spirit’s role with repetition of the phrase “by the Spirit” in Galatians 5:16,18,25. He used the phrase “sanctified by the Holy Spirit” in Roman 15:16, and in Romans 8:13 he said it is “by the Spirit” that we are able to “put to death the deeds of the body.” 2. Sanctification involves our cooperation. Take note of the imperatives in Galatians 5: “walk by the Spirit” (v. 16), “live by the Spirit” (v. 25), and “keep in step with the Spirit” (v. 25). Whereas justification is entirely God’s work, sanctification involves our cooperation with God. Christ has delivered us from sin’s reign, but the responsibility for resisting sin is ours. God has given us His Spirit, but the responsibility for walking by the Spirit is ours. “Pursue … sanctification” urged the writer of Hebrews (Heb. 12:14, NASB; see also 2 Cor. 7:1). 3. Sanctification is on ongoing process. Whereas justification is once and for all, sanctification is a continuous process whereby we grow in holiness. The Greek verb translated “walk by the spirit” in verse 16 translates the Greek verb peripateo, which literally means “to go about” or “to walk around.” It’s the same word Jesus used of the paralytic, “get up, take your mat, and walk” (Mark 2:9). The word walk also can be used to mean a certain walk of life or conduct. Paul used a tense of the verb that reflects continuous, on-going activity. The word walk reminds us that sanctification doesn’t roll effortlessly down a superhighway; it treks resolutely up a more arduous path, steadily progressing toward the goal but never arriving until that day we “see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). 4. The goal and measure of sanctification is Christlikeness. God’s purpose in our sanctification is to transform us more and more into the likeness of Christ (Rom. 8:29). Refuse to be seduced into defining spiritual maturity in terms of religious activities (sanctification-by-checklist). The 8-point record system offering envelope I grew up using in church is not a gauge of spiritual maturity. (On the weekly envelope was a checklist: Sunday School attendance, Bible brought, lesson studied, giving, worship attendance, daily Bible reading, number of visits, and number of other contacts made. Check off the items on the list and you’re good for another week!) On the contrary, Christ-like character is the measuring stick of growth in sanctification. 5. The primary instrument of sanctification is the Word of God. Jesus’ prayer for His disciples, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth” (John 17:17), instructs us that God sanctifies us by His Word. Paul understood that God’s Word trains us in righteousness so that we may “be complete” (2 Tim 3:16-17). Let us drink deeply, then, from the Scriptures, for by them God will transform us more and more into the likeness of Christ. (See also Ps. 119:11; Acts 20:32; 1 Pet. 2:2.) Remember, “this is God’s will, your sanctification” (1 Thess. 4:3). -
I did not say I’m from a seed which is dust? i said I came from the seed of my Father ( human)...I am trying to understand dust...... If you can stop getting personal please and stick with the discussion I’m having with you, about dust. please keep your assumptions of me out of the discussion please.
-
Did I say that? i am trying to understand..” dust”.. stop assuming what “you” think I’m thinking...no wonder arguments break out on here. we are related to Adams seed...? therefore inherited his sin? All of mankind inherited the sin of Adam and Eve? Thus, believers can say all humans are descended from Adam and Eve, and no genetic evidence can falsify or confirm that belief. From a purely genetical perspective, it seems hard to contradict this thesis.
-
We are all related to the seed of Adam? so yes, we return to the earth/ dust....our spirit will be with God, where we will see him in his full Glory. we inherited Adams sin?.. And no!....I never said I will bypass returning to the dust...that’s your assumption of me....try not to make assumptions of others, quite a few on this forum seem to do this. you don’t know my thoughts and you don’t know me...so it would be good to quit assuming what you think you know about others...because you know nothing about them.or what they are “ thinking”. Ecclesiastes 12:7-9 King James Version 7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
-
The seed of the first Adam? Which means? did we inherit the seed of Adam?..the first Adam. But contrary to this: In Romans 5:12the Apostle says, “Through one man sin entered into this world.” If the woman were going to transmit original sin to her offspring, he should rather have said, “Through the two of them sin entered into the world, since both sinned,” or even, “Through the mother sin entered the world ...
