  1. We will get legally married. But we are living away from family for at least another year and in a different country so want to wait to make it legal until we’re able to have proper wedding. But we don’t want to live together unless God will bless and recognise our commitment to each other. Nothing sinister. Just circumstance and wanting to be right with God if we live with each other.
  2. Can two devoted people be married in Gods eyes without a legal registered contract? I am in a devoted relationship where we have committed our lives to each other, but circumstances mean that getting legally married is not permitted. If we say our vows before God and a trusted witness would this be enough to constitute a binding marriage in Gods eyes such that we could move in together without living in sin? I believe the legal side is to satisfy human requirements, but that the real essence of marriage is a binding covenant between the couple and God. I would welcome insight into this topic.
