  1. Thank you @TheBlade for your wise advice. Sometimes we get forget to ask Him for the "little" things as well as the "big" things. 🙂
  2. Thank you @TheBlade and @Sower for helping. Unfortunately, as I noted above, the lyrics that I know are in the song don't match. It's kind of frustrating 😅 Must of been a recording by a really not-well-known group.
  3. Thank you everyone for your replies. I still haven't found the song, unfortunately. The line "It pays to serve God, more than anything I know." is a common refrain in the song and I'm confident that is the exact wording, so any song that doesn't include it wouldn't be the right one.
  4. @NConly that would be an option, except I don't know what radio station it was.
  5. A numbers of years ago (like 5yrs or so) I heard a Christian song on the radio that had a really catchy tune and really great words. I've been trying to find it ever since, but haven't been able to based on my recall of the words. I know the melody and would be able to instantly know it when I hear it, but all of the verses are fuzzy because I only heard it once. It was sung by a few people in harmony. Not quite a choir. Had somewhat of a country style feel and was upbeat. Very catchy, hence the reason I still remembered it. :) The part of the chorus (I think) that I can recall went like: "Some love money, some love [things?] -God pays more than both of them. It pays to serve God, more than anything I know." If anyone could help me find this song, I would be extremely grateful! 🙂
  6. From a purely logical standpoint, the first judge's ruling was right on removing it from the ballot. Not informing people of the ramifications of a ballot measure if it passes is **not** being honest and fully "letting people decide". Sad that they pushed it through anyway. > We keep being told that polls say the majority of voters want access to abortion Here in Missouri, the city folk vs. rural folk thing feels stronger than the state I used to live in. I don't know anyone here in the rural areas that wants this to pass. The large cities; St. Louis, Jefferson City, etc are a sort of different story as far as I am aware. Hopefully enough people have enough common sense and sense of morality to say no to this amendment, or if this passes, enough heart and common sense to see the results and revert back to protecting the lives of women and children. Pray for the people of Missouri.
  7. I've always liked reading the biographies/autobiographies of George Müller and Brother Andrew.
