It started out we would all 3 way eachother, and do bible studies and worship music, now, what started as 4 people all getting together, now has grown online, to over 20 members, we now go on yahoo messenger, and prepare a sermon also live music on the conference in yahoo messenger. If anyone wants to check it out, heres the site for it. It's pretty awesome, and we hope to do way more with it, so keep it in your prayers.

  2. Worship according to the dictionary means the revernt love accorded a deity, idol or sacred object. As Christians, we give worship to the God of the Bible on a daily basis, or at least we should. This can be done in our prayer closet, while listening to Christian music, as a result of giving praise to the creator, etc. Fellowship is what we experience at Worthy Boards and Chat.

    Good

  3. How about right here? God is here, and is worshipped here. Try Worthy chatrooms, God is there, too.

  7. Sorry... still cryptic...but It's a decision each day and each decision time, to submit to His purposes eg. ran into a oppressed and depressed divorcee this morning at church....I was bailed up in the blistering sun outside...I wanted to go inside to the cool but God wanted to wrap His arms around her and guess who was johnny on the spot!

    Greetings Robaston,

    I believe you did what Jesus did when "he thirsted" and stopped by a well where He met a Samaritan woman. The story never says whether or not Jesus quenched His thirst, but many in that town were saved because He first came to "do the will of the Father" and overcame His thirst to minister the "living water".

    Blessings,

    Dad Ernie

    It is clear what happened to me now...I stepped aside and Jesus did what He did 2000 yrs ago!

  8. Hi Robaston.  Welcome to Worthyboards.  :whistling:

    I think this piece of Scripture is simply a reminder to believers of their total 'lostness' and 'depravity' before they came to a saving knowledge of the L-rd Jesus.  All of us without exception have a past that we can remember when we walked and followed our own desires and did whatever we pleased because we were governed/ruled/directed by our sinful nature...in fact it was impossible not to act according to our 'natural sinful nature.'

    But all of us who love the Messiah also have a testimony of when G-d intervened in our lives and gave us the opportunity to cry out to Him and be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost so that no longer are we slaves to our 'sin nature'...but rather we are in bondage to the Messiah and are now slaves to righteousness.

    Bob Dylan for a short period in his life had a time where he experienced what it is to be 'born again' and he wrote some great songs...among them is one that is called 'You gotta serve somebody'...and the fact is all of us have the choice to serve either G-d or the Devil...the difference is that a Christian knows who they are serving...but an Unbeliever will often not realize they are serving the Devil and living according to the wisdom of the world...just think back on your own life.

    The passage in Ephesians has a context and does not really stand on its own...but it is always good to reflect on how great a salvation G-d has wrought for us through our Saviour the L-rd Jesus.

    Colossians 1:9  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

    Col 1:10  That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

    Col 1:11  Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

    Col 1:12  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

    Col 1:13  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

    Col 1:14  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

    Once again good to see you here...hope you enjoy it.

    In Messiah.  Botz.

  10. I'm a huge Peanuts fan and I found this book at a second hand store that claims that most of the comics were metaphoric.

    A brief synopsis  of the characters:

    Charlie Brown-A 20th century everyman wearing a Tshirt of thorns

    Lucy Van Pelt-A crabby symbol of original sin

    Linus-A world wise victim of idolatry

    Snoopy- A little christ thatafflicts the comfortable and comforts the afflicted

    Anybody else ever read this book? :)

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    Buy the book then burn it and break the curse of it, in the Jesus!

  11. 1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature F7 and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.

    Is this a stern word, which perhaps is timely?

    Thoughts?

  12. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

    to me this speaks of my will...if I say "not my will, thine be done"...is just what God wants...a seed that dies.

    Can you explain what you mean just a bit more, Rob?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    Sure...it's only when I "deny myself" and "take up my cross" that i can SEE how to follow

  13. worry about the people who will be running the world when she's older

    Jesus is and will always be the KING! but don't listen to me dear sis

    15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

    16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

    17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

    18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

    NIV Colossians 1 :laugh::taped:

  14. 20Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

    Ephesians 3:21

    anyone feel moved by this

  15. Hi

    This isn't particularly devotional but it came to me today in my work...

    God is perfectly beautiful and beautifully perfect...thank goodness cause often I don't know how to approach a task in my work and God reminds of His unchanging standard - righteouness! the way of righteousness.

    Anyone else feel this?

  16. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
