I just want to say that I agree with all these advices. Me personally had the same problem. I did not trust that God hear me, that He will helps me through prayers. But one friend told me, God hears you, understands what you need and wants help you. He pray for my disbelief and from this moment I believe because I can see how He works in my life. It's wonderful!! Time of prayer is not so important, but my experience is that I asleep during the prayer if I pray very late. So several months ago I decided to pray morning. 40 or 60 minutes before normal alarm I wake up and give all my day to the Lord. It's very refreshing! I recommend it.
