  1. Many churches are under attack from the enemy, with counterfeit revivals, demonic manifestations, occult practices, Mysticism, New Age ... How could so many church leaders be easily misled, and continue to add to the deception, leading many people, even Christians into the world of Mysticism .... Has anyone had experience with Mysticism? What exactly is wrong with Mysticism?
  2. I use Bible.is for audio Bible on my Archos 70 IT. Voice quality is excellent!!! Best I've found yet. Drawback is that it only works with an Internet connection. I do have some individual MP3 Bible audio files (not the entire Bible on audio though) on my MacPro, which I have transferred to my Archos. On my MacPro, I use Gateway Audio Bible, also a very high quality voice.
  3. I have Bible.is on my Archos. Best audio Bible I've found so far for Android. I listen every morning, sometimes get through 10 chapters or more while eating breakfast. I am not a phone geek, but can you use iPhone apps? If you can, try here at logos ... http://www.logos.com/products/search?Platform=Internet iPhone apps won't work with Android.
  4. How do I find the threads that I have started ... ???

  8. I'm looking for Bible applications for my Archos 70 Internet Tablet 250GB (Operating system: Android 2.2 Froyo). I've been checking out the free Bible apps, but would like something more powerful. These are some of the features I'd like to have: -- search -- cross references -- highlighting -- bookmarking -- concordance -- audio (listen to Bible) -- Bible dictionary -- maps -- dual window (with different scriptures in each window) -- King James Version -- reference materials (commentaries, notes, church history, Greek and Hebrew notes, etc.)

  12. I've been reading mostly from the 1560 Geneva Bible for several years now. Also read the King James Version often. I quite reading the NIV and Living Bible. Recently I've starting reading the Wycliffe Bible (1395). I'm learning Middle English, so using the Bible really helps, and I compare the three versions as I'm reading ....

  18. I would like to, but I don't do well with chats. Hard for me to keep up. I need to find online Bible studies that I can do on my own, or a Bible study thread. When I'm say that I'm looking for a Bible study, I'm not looking for arguments or debates. Just wanting to learn more ..... I'm especially interested in Biblical archaeology and Biblical history.

  21. Hey, thanks everyone for the suggestions! The Russian pancakes would be a good project for a rainy day. I'll write that down and add it to my collection of recipes. Strange thing ..... This problem with edges curling never happens with the premade mix, whether the heat is low or high, whether I turn the pancakes too early or wait too long ...... I experiement with the suggestions you guys offered. Thanks and God bless.

  23. Do you know of good alternatives to MySpace.com? Here are just a few places that I have found where you can communicate with others, including PM, e-mail, sending pictures, journals, blogs, listing your favorite stuff (music, tv, or whatever): 1) http://www.firestream.net/index.php (Firstream, Christian music at TriRock, great place to share with others ...) 2) http://board.christianrock.net/board/index.php (ChristianRock.Net, great place to share with others, blog, pictures, and great Christian Internet music station) 3) http://faithandfellowship.com/forum2/index.php?act=idx (Faith & Felowship, great place to share with others) Please share any Christian online forums that you know of .... Thanks. God bless.
  24. I agree .... Our church had an open forum on Thursday, two days ago. There were at least 100 adults who showed up, and about 50 kids. They showed the MSN documentary on the problems with social networking and MySpace.com. Two of the youth pastors, the church counselor and psychologist, and one of the technicians were on a panel to answer questions. The technician started a Christian ministry to reach out to people on MySpace.com. They have had good success with the ministry. We learned of the dangers and what we can do to help our kids to be safe. Too many young kids are giving out personal information .... Some kids even list their exact schedule, the time and place they will be, and where they are going after that, which makes it very easy for stalkers to find them, stalk them, and do great harm ...... One of the important things that came up during the open forum is that we need to communicate openly with our children, and keep tabs on what they are doing, and what they are sharing with others on MySpace. There are many good/great alternatives to MySpcae.com. I'm starting another thread for that topic ...... If you have some good alternatives to MySpace.com, please join in the "Alternatives to MySpace" thread ..... See you there ...
  25. What do you think about MySpace.com? Tonight at church we are having an open forum about social networking, especially concerning MySpace.com. I have an account at MySpace.com, but am considering cancelling the account, because pronography appears at my home page. I'm glad that I've found other alternative forums that myself and my children to use. MySpace.com is definitely a dangerous place, especially for kids. -- vja4Him -- hangin' wit' da' Big Man
