  1. I LOVE books in any format but I have a e-reader (I am an Aussie so we do not have kindles so much) but I have to admit I love my e-reader but there's  nothing like the feel of a real book in your hands. I do read both but I am leaning more toward the e-reader being my favourite. Travelling is great, e-readers can hold so many books where travelling with a bundle of books totally adds to your luggage weight :biggrin2:

  2. I haven't been on this site for quite a while. I was married 27 years and devoted to my husband and 3 sons. Like any marriage we had our ups and downs. About 15 years ago he was unfaithful to me on 2 occasions however I forgave him and we reconciled. I never really trusted him completely again but I did my best to work on that. Late last year I found out he was unfaithful once again and I told him enough is enough and asked him to leave. He confessed to me at this point that there has been numerous women over the years as he wanted to cleanse himself! I truly believe he is a sex addict and addicted to porn. We were both Christians when we married however within 2 years he had completely backslidden, I prayed for years and years.

I have felt God's hand in this decision and that I did the right thing. I have received counselling and I have turned my life around after a really tough year. My marriage is now no more and we be divorced in the next couple of months. Australian laws state we have to be separated 12 months before we divorce.

I just wanted to share my experiences, its been the most devastating year of my life, however I now am content with my life and God's Grace and His Peace and so grateful I had Him carry me through this. I have 3 wonderful sons who are devoted to me and trying to reconcile their relationship with their dad. At some point in the future I would like the chance to meet a Christian man I can share my life with but just relying on God and his plan for my life.

    Hugs,

Anyway, beauty is on the inside. :noidea: Its the heart that matters!

I have to agree with buckthesystem, men ARE very visual.

  5. Do you recall the first time you came to worthy? The reason that you happened to have stumbled into this amazing place? I started my days at worthy in the chat room. Eventually, I dared to enter the world that is the boards. So many of you had such an impact on my life. It is now 2008. I joined in 2004. wow. It doesn't seem that long ago. I was such a mess when I was 16. In so much pain that I couldn't breathe, that I couldn't see what was in front of me. I look back and realize that if it weren't for some of you people- that truly I wouldn't not have made it. I would not be sitting here today. I sit here with a huge grin on my face. I think of all of those insane nights- when insomnia and nightmares kept me from sleeping. I would come onto worthy and find the love and encouragement that I so desperately needed. The love of God poured through my computer screen and into my heart- it began a process of healing that I am still going through. Some of you I still talk to- it has been nice to re-establish contact. I mainly wanted to say thank you. Thank you for your time, and patience, and your willingness to listen to what God was telling you. Thank you to about 20 special people. I don't want to list them...you all I would hope , remember how you helped me.

I wanted to provide encouragement to those of you that might be mentoring someone younger- or someone hurting. Do it. Keep at it. Don't give up on them- you may never know the impact you have on them- but you very well may be the one to save their life.

    Thanks worthy friends.

    Beth

I have a 3 sons and pretty much any place I go they WLL find me so the BEST place I find spending time with the Lord is walking, I feel a real closeness with HIM.

    Hey Ted,

Your very welcome to visit but.......... when you get off the plane one of our traditions is to ride on the back of a kangaroo with one hand whilst throwing a boomerang with the other.
