I am so encouraged by the posts here. Thank you so much, its like a virtual hug. I appreciate it to the depths of my heart. Nice to see another Aussie here MarilynC. I have started going to a new church and its been like a breath of fresh air.

Thank you all! I am encouraged by scripture, particularly Romans 8:28 and Jeremiah 29:11. The Lord has really being laying them on my heart.

I haven't been on this site for quite a while. I was married 27 years and devoted to my husband and 3 sons. Like any marriage we had our ups and downs. About 15 years ago he was unfaithful to me on 2 occasions however I forgave him and we reconciled. I never really trusted him completely again but I did my best to work on that. Late last year I found out he was unfaithful once again and I told him enough is enough and asked him to leave. He confessed to me at this point that there has been numerous women over the years as he wanted to cleanse himself! I truly believe he is a sex addict and addicted to porn. We were both Christians when we married however within 2 years he had completely backslidden, I prayed for years and years. I have felt God's hand in this decision and that I did the right thing. I have received counselling and I have turned my life around after a really tough year. My marriage is now no more and we be divorced in the next couple of months. Australian laws state we have to be separated 12 months before we divorce. I just wanted to share my experiences, its been the most devastating year of my life, however I now am content with my life and God's Grace and His Peace and so grateful I had Him carry me through this. I have 3 wonderful sons who are devoted to me and trying to reconcile their relationship with their dad. At some point in the future I would like the chance to meet a Christian man I can share my life with but just relying on God and his plan for my life. Hugs,

Have you ever tried going for a walk and praying as you walk?? I have a 3 sons and pretty much any place I go they WLL find me so the BEST place I find spending time with the Lord is walking, I feel a real closeness with HIM. I know its not always possible with weather conditons but its worth a try. In Christs Love, Shazza

There are a few good men out there; however, the perfect ones are almost non-existent. Particularly, if we look on the outside. When you also consider the number of men versus the number of women in the United States, things look bleak. However, God is in control. I don't know what He has in store for you, but trust Him...He will never leave you nor forsake you... Nor will He deceive. Perfect ones!! I don't believe there are any perfect ones. I have met Donna Ps25, we have been online friends for 4 years and I flew from Australia to America to spend 3 wonderful weeks with her and we had the best time. We did Disneyland, Sea World San Diego, Spirit West Coast Music Fest in Del Mar San Diego, Grand Canyon, Lake Roosevelt and I got the best tan I ever had. (takes a breath ) When eating at some restaurants, many people come up to us and ask if we were sisters, til I opened my mouth and the Aussie slang came tumbling out On my last day in Phoenix, Donna and I met up with Ayin Jade and her husband, we had lunch together and was the best which incidently was so hot and when I arrived home was freezing btw I thought the Outback Steakhouse was funny!!!! We have never heard of them here!!!

Mathy, I have been where you are right now!! God is so gracious, He CAN restore the most broken marriage. He restored mine. I have experienced infidelity not once but twice within my marriage, several years apart. My husband is a back sliding Christian, we have been married 21 years with 3 beautiful sons and he walked away from God within 2 years. Mathy, have you forgiven him within your heart, you say it with your mouth but maybe you are hanging onto the hurt still?? You need to let it go, because resentment is a poison in you that rears its ugly head. I am not saying it will happen over night but with God's powerful healing it WILL happen. I don't believe you would be better of single, God created you and your husband for each other. Plain and simple, you are not married by chance, God arranged it all. Now He is using you to reach the heart of your husband to show him the love of Christ. What has helped me, is to look at my husband through the eyes of God not through my own, and I have changed my attitude towards him. We have still got our Daylight Savings in Perth but is due to finish around March 25. We are now in Autumn and the mornings are so dark. I am looking forward to the change so when Donna and I are chatting I am not falling asleep on the keyboard At the moment we chat 11.30pm my time and 7.30am Donnas time. Even better when we can chat face to face Only 70 more sleeps

Another clean freak here My husband calls me Ms Neato!! I too was brought up to have a clean house and care and respect of possessions. Maybe not OCD but just like everything in its place. I work full-time, and have 3 sons so I need some kind of organisation in the home. I have always taught my boys to pick up after themselves right from the time they were toddlers. Mind you my youngest is still learning. I have mellowed over the years though and try not to worry so much if things don't always get done, my husband doesn't help as much as he should. God knows my efforts and my time with God is more important than having a clean house. Thank G-d. I thought I was a total freak, now I know you are too! Wait, that came out wrong. Its ok Marn, I have known all along Now I know I am not alone Sooooooo do ya think I need therapy????

My 15 year old son is a delight, he will do things without be told, like doing the dishes, cleaning up, bringing in the washing that is hung on the line and cook a meal. I remember quite recently I had fallen asleep on the lounge after a long day at work and he came up to me and said "Mum do you want me to do the dishes", my heart was so full for a thoughtful boy he is considering he is a teen
