Who said the law was just for the Jews? At the time of Christ the Jews were not even there. They were abroad. (see James 1:1) I think you are confused. I live in Texas that makes me a Texan. Because I live in Texas does not make me a Jew. To be a Jew you have to be a descendant of one of the twelve tribes. The Jews during the time of Christ were not descendants of the twelve tribes but they were Jews. They were Jews because they lived in Judah. I hope you understand. Christ was from Nazareth and was called a Nazarene (see Mat 2:23.) he was never called a Jew. People today try to claim he was a Jew but the bible states otherwise. This may be to much for you to digest right now. So I will stop here. I don't often interrupt like this, however Kidtek, I think you could have worded this better, the OP was asking an honest question and it is your duty to answer it honestly, sincerely and with humility. God Bless you Anne Very very honest and True !!!!!! "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." Mathew;3;7-10

"If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!" 1 Corinthians;16;21 Is this verse written about the church members or everyone in general? "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." This written in the law was just for the Jews. But Paul's scripture who is it aimed at??

Recently someone asked me -a gentle- which is the best branhce of Christianity?I gave him the following answer - "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned."John;15;1-7 The surviving brances are the only ones which abide in the vine and bear fruit. If anyone got any other thought on this want to listen

How Many Of You Think God Is Doing A Good Job ?
bhakthi replied to bhakthi's topic in General Discussion
Shalom, You are RATING G-d???? Excuse me? And your criteria for His good rating is the perishing of His enemies?? WOW, that is really strange. <Shaking my head> First off, G-d is G-d and man is not. Who are we to "rate" G-d? We are His creation, not His judge. Isaiah 55: 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. That is not my finding .It's what the scripture says,"For behold, Your enemies, O Lord, For behold, Your enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered."Psalm;92;9 Would you shake your head on this one also-"Kiss the Son, [ Who Is Jesus Christ] lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him. " Psalm;2;12 -
How Many Of You Think God Is Doing A Good Job ?
bhakthi replied to bhakthi's topic in General Discussion
Never, ever? I may ask why but I never question His motives. There is a big difference. Asking to rate God's performance requires judging his motives and reasoning. Not asking why. ...and so far, I have always received an answer when I ask why. Honestly, I haven't had to ask often because I usually know why without asking. God's rating will never go down because "Behold your enemies perish O Lord." More and more people are added into the everlasting kindom while His enemies are perishing. And finally," And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever."Revelation;20;10 -
How Many Of You Think God Is Doing A Good Job ?

Shalom, AMEN! But when we read through the last chapter of Revelation we get an idea about what God has in store .Don't we? "And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. "Rev;20;1-4 -

How Many Of You Think God Is Doing A Good Job ?

No comment! I'm too bust concentrating on ME doing a good job! If you cannot know and understand how can you praise God.Doing it just blindly? It was not so with the saints. Please read Psalm;101;1 What it says. -
How many of you think God is doing a good job? The Holy Bible makes it clear that God is the Judge. "I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth"Jeremiah ;9;24 Then men will say, "Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth." Psalm;58;11 Eventhough the wicked may triumph for a little while that will be short lived according to these scriptures.Because God is in contronl .It is His job execute judgment and righteousness on earth. You have any comments or suggestions ?

Unfortuanately after all this we don't see God at the end of this Book with a sense of humor. "The sound of noise from the city! A voice from the temple! The voice of the Lord, Who fully repays His enemies! " Isa;65;6

"The ox knows his master, the donkey his owner's manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand." Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the Lord; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him." Isaiah;1;2-4 Although it is written here about Israel it is true about many christians as well. The heathens don't know about God.That may be an excuse for them But here the prophet is speaking about a people whom God made Himself known to. A chosen people who received many blessings from God.A people with whom God made a covenant. The next scriptue is about the unthankful nature of a people. The people who received benefits are supposed to honor and give praise to him.But instead the wild animals take that place. "The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people" Isaiah;43;20 Do animals make more sense than people sometimes in regard to the things of God ?

Why then people act like God didn't say nothing or they didn't here anything ? Yet, "Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One."Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters."Psalm;2;2.3 Jesus Christ is the Ruler of the Kings of the earth .Then why pople act like he never existed?Only to Make Him laugh ? "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."Mathew;24;13

Facing God Right Here ! On Earth ! ' What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.' Luke;16;3 Many are waiting to meet God after their earthly life .But it is not the case we see here. This man was an unprofitable servant. He was wasting his masters goods. His master got complaints about him. Everyone has to face God here on earth one way or other.Once in a while God deals with people according to their works. Whether for good or bad. "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants."Mathew;18;23 This is not something that will happen at the Lord's return or before the judgment seat. This happens right here on earth.God even heard what the fool who was not rich toward God said and took immediate action. Any of you are serious about this?.

Jesus said he came to bring sword and not peace. "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-- a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.' Mathew;10;34,35 Many other scriptures sound similar to this statement of Lord Jesus. John the Baptist said like this "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."Luke;3;8-10 Then in Luke 13 Jesus told the parable of the fig tree which did not produce fruit. Paul also says something like this in Romans,"Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off." Romans;11;34 So it means grace and mercy are only for those who stand in grace pleasing God bearing fruit to Jesus . Am I right ?

Why This Generation Is More Guilty Than All Other Generations ?
bhakthi replied to bhakthi's topic in General Discussion
Then what is this verse about judgment of Babylon the great " In her was found the blood of prophets and of the saints, and of all who have been killed on the earth." Revelation;18;22 And also 17;6 "I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished. " -
"From the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all."Luke;11;51 Cain got punished for the murder of Abel and then later God brought the great flood and destroyed the total popuation except Noah and sons .Then why God is still holding this generatiion guilty of Abel's blood? "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man." Mathew;24;3740 "They will say to the mountains,"Cover us and to the hills."Fall on us." Hosea;10;8

Do Any Religions Speak About This Kind Of Power ?
bhakthi replied to bhakthi's topic in General Discussion
1 Corinthians 4:17-21 The WORD Speaks The Word Of Power Hebrews 1:2-3 Just Because This Is So Awesome! My God - My LORD - Forever! Hebrews 1:8-12 Great response .Thanks God bless you. "O magnify the Lord with me .Let us exalt His name together."Psalm;34 -
"When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell."Psalm;27;2 This is what exactly happened when his enemies came to arrest Jesus. This is what happened When He said to them, "I am He," they drew back and fell to the ground." John;18;6 Jesus had this kind of power in him."Kingdom of God is not in word but in power" Paul says in Corinthians;1 Cor;4

"How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!"Luke;24;25 If you don't believe eveything the scriptures-each and every one of them, say you fall into this category. Scriptures are spoken by God.If we don't take them as God's words we are not pleasing God and the Lord will see us as foolish. But when the Son of Man comes will he find faith on earth? How many of you can believe the scriptures as the Lord wants us to believe them ? I sometimes fail to do this. But I don't want to hear the Lord call me foolish so I am trying to stirr up my faith. How about you?

Madness Punishment For Not Serving The Lord ? Or Backsliding ?
bhakthi replied to bhakthi's topic in General Discussion

Is madness a punishment for not serving the Lord or turning away from Him? "The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind." Deut;28;20 This warning the Lord gives aling with the covenant he made with the children of Israel. After explaining all the benefits and blessings of keeping the covenant Moses said,"However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you."Deut;28;15 There is a long list of terrible misfortune that the Lord warned them that would come upon them if they break the covenant. In fact they broke the covenant and all those woes came upon them. In the NT we see it in a different way. Here we read more serious warnings.Like cutting off the unfruitful trees etc.delivering over to Satan etc, etc.Anyone thought about this >

" Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him." Psalm;2;12
