Luke;9;24,25 All the three Gospels state these words loud and clear. The best way to gain life is to lose it for Christ's sake.If it is a loss both ways the better choice is to lose it for Jesus.This teaching is too hard for the people of the world.No wonder they crucified him.

Amen and Amen ! "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." Rev;22;12,13

When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale; the sky vanished like a scroll that is rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the generals and the rich and the strong, and every one, slave and free, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand before it?"Revelation;6;15-17 Among those who run looking for shelter there are kings ,great men ,generals and all kinds of people saying,"for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand before it?"Is there no modern inventions or technology that could save them from the coming wrath of God?Could the science help?Isn't true that "There is no wisdom or counsel or understanding against the Lord."?Thank God for the people who have made the Lamb their refuge.

"If you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. "Mathew;21; The fig tree Jesus cursed withered and the disciples noticed it and they spoke to Jesus about this and Jesus told them like this. Speak out in faith.That is the point here.I don't think the modern psychologists would agree with this.But the words spoken in faith have power and that faith is expressed through words.You have any different opinion or view about this subject?

He was a ruler and he thought he was somebody and did not give glory to God.So an angel struck him down.This is how it happened. "On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. They shouted, "This is the voice of a god, not of a man." Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died."Acts;12;21-24 God deserves all the golry and honor but people do not give praise to Him as they should.Paul says they are without excuse for this reason. "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened." Romans;1;21 "The Lord Reigns ! let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake." Psalm;99;1

"Help, Lord, for the godly are no more; the faithful have vanished from among men. Everyone lies to his neighbor; their flattering lips speak with deception. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips and every boastful tongue." Psalm;12:1,2 This scriptures reveal the shortage of godly and righteous people today.Ungodly people are making the world a dangerous place.When God determined to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah he told Abraham if there were ten righteous people he would not destroy those cities.The wickedness was so great like it is today in these last day.When the trees start bearing bad fruits God has no other choice but to cut them off."Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One" Psalm;2;1.2 Such rebellion against God and his commands compells God to reataliate.Only making peace with God by accepting and submitting to Jesus Christ will help as the Psalmist says; "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him." Psalm;2;12

Using God's name for any other purpose other than to glorify him can be considered as blasphemy or breaking this commandment . What are some examples of this? I'm not asking you to use His name in vain or anything, but other than swearing, where do you find this happening? Can those of us who call ourselves christians be guilty of this and not know it? Everywhere ,every day you can see this happening.People don't know the fact that Jesus Christ is a King, His words come as spoken by a great King.His Name also is highly exalted ,a Name that is abobe every name.So they must be handled vert cautiously.So even though people who do this think it is funny God doesn't see that way.But soon they will understand their folly.Yes believers speak blasphemy knowingly or not.But if this sin is not forgiven they are guilty.Paul exhorts the church to put off blasphemy along with few other things.

Using the Name of the Lord J-C in vain.Cursing and swearing using the name of the Lord etc.This is the only commandment which comes with a sure warnig of punishement. "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain." Exodus ;20;7

When the wicked use the word of God or His Name in vain they are adding more trouble to their problems. This speed up the judgment which is about to come upon them. But to the wicked God says: "What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth, Seeing you hate instruction And cast My words behind you? When you saw a thief, you consented with him, And have been a partaker with adulterers. You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit. 20 You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother's son. These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes. "Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, And there be none to deliver" Psalm;50;15-22 "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain." Exodus ;20;7

The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: "Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?" He who walks righteously and speaks what is right, who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes, who stops his ears against plots of murder and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil-- this is the man who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. His bread will be supplied, and water will not fail him."Isaiah;33;14-17 It is a very hard thing even for the righteous to get saved. Peter says in his epistle ;"If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" 1 Pet;4 Jesus Christ is this Consuming Fire.He is here ,in the Church.I think he is talking here about the fire that would consume all the ungodly and the sinners as spoken in Isaiah;33;14 "I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!" Luke;12;49

" It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes." Psalm;118;8.9 Why is it better to trust in God than man ? If God is not with a person even if the whole world is with him that cannot save him.As it is written ; " Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain."Ps;127;1 God tears them to peices with none to rescue those who forget God.No one can deliver from God's hand if he sets his face against a person or a land.When those who trust in horses and charioits fall those who just remember his Name are safe. "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright." Psalm;20;7,8 "Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord." Jeremiah;17;5

The message of repentance comes as a command from God.It is not a suggestion or request from God that all must repent but a command."In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent." Acts;17;30 Whether it is to all people in general or to the churches in particular the message of repentance comes with warnings.God always warns of the consequences of ignoring the command to repent. "I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish." Luke;13;5 "Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth."Revelation;2;16

Brood of vipers ! How you know them ? There are children of the devil and children of God.Unfortuantely brood of vipers think they are also children of God .Jesus met a group of people like that who clamed God to be their father.But Jesus told them ;"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginningp not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!" John;8;44 Claiming to be God's children or christians will not make one acceptable before God.The scripture says;"For the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men."Psalm;12;1 Label doesn't work.Righteousness is what counts.John the Baptist said;"Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." Luke;3;7-9 "The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: "Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?" He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil: He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure. Your eyes will see the King in His beauty;"Isaiah;33;

That is for those who love God.Those who are called according to His purpose.

God is patient and silent but when enough is enough who can stop Him? AMEN! The reward for simply forgetting God is this- "Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue:"Psalm;50;20

This is what God told Jesus Christ,"For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined."Isaiah;60;12 The Holy Bible is not only a book of blessings and prosperity but also of lamentations and woes and curses.Moses explained to the children of Israel all the blessings that would come upon them when they follow the Lord with all their heart and he warned against the rebellion that would bring curses.All the woes written in the law came upon them when they turned away from God.God will not sit silent or ignore ungodliness and rebellion.It says in Psalm;50 "These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was altogether like you. But I will rebuke you and accuse you to your face. "Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue:"Psalm;50;20

The power of His Name is anothor topic. Jesus Christ Is Lord. At this Name "Every knee shall bow in heaven and on and under the earth."

Some time ago a demon told a friend of mine before they cast it out. "I tried to get into your home many times but I could not because it is all fire around there because of your prayer.This lady used to pray day in and day out. Now the word is fire,we know and so is worship.Which is more fiery?Prayer ,word or worship ? "From His right hand Came a fiery law for them."Deut;33.2

Recently I found out how powerful the word of the Lord is. The word is so powerful because God spoke it. It came out of the mouth of the Almighty God. It also comes as spoken by a King because Jesus Christ is the Eternal King. So his words come as commandments This is what makes the scriptures very powerful. You can now understand the difference between Devil's gimmicks and God's word.

Paul is exhorting the believers that these things brings the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience so the believers must put off such things so they may not live as the disobedient but may become obedient children. So you don't have to "put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience."? Col;3;5,6
