  1. Is it wrong to pray for a specific person to be your future mate and expect something to happen? Especially if they are dating someone else at the time, not married, just dating. Could it just be a timing issue and a need to wait, or should I just let it go and move on.
  2. Is it wrong to ask God to take feelings you have for someone away and expect it? Because what's the point of having feeling for someone who may not have them back and is dating someone else at the time. And she is a Christian. What if you've prayed for that alot for some time and still have feelings for this person. Is God telling you they could be the one and it not be the right time. Or is it just evil tormenting me. I mean I really like this person, and seems like almost everyday something will remind me of them. Like I said earlier, what's the point of having these feelings if it is not meant to be. All it does is hurt me and keep me from noticing the right one. I've prayed for many years for a Christian mate. Is it wrong to ask God to reveal your future mate to you and to ask if a certain person is meant for you? How do you really know, especially when things like this happen. I know this sounds silly, but it's a big deal. Thanks. sport123
  3. Can someone pray a calling on your life in ministry? If so, can you pray it off? Also, because you are suffering through health issues and nothing seems to be going right in your life, does that mean God is punishing you for lack of obedience in that calling. And how do you really know what you a called to do in life and if you are called to be a preacher or evangelist? Because all Christians are to witness and feel a need to do so. So that can make it very confusing. Also, could use your prayers. Going through some stuff very concerning. Thanks. sport123
  4. Should we continue to pray for the same thing over and over again, or pray once about it. I hear so many different things on this. Like if you pray more than once about something, you lack faith and you want receive. And if any doubt comes in your heart or thought you loose your answer. And I hear you should continue to pray about something until it happens or it's take off your heart. I have some really urgent issues going on in my life, from need of healing and financial. And I'm at the point only God can help me. I'm trying to figure what I'm doing wrong. Am I lacking faith, how can I over come the idea does God really want to heal me, how do I really believe when situations and conditions discourage me so much, am I going through this to change other peoples hearts, is my heart so full of wrong, etc. I've poured out my heart to God so much over the past year and now. Am I being punished for pass sin, was I called to be in ministry and God is punishing me for not doing that, am I so full of doubt that evil is having their way with me. Is it wrong to want to be healthy, am I complaining because many people have it so much worse. Is it because I don't have the best attitude about going through what I'm going through and not full of faith and joy that's why I'm still going through it. It's hard not to get discouraged. You know when you get your hopes up so much and believe for healing, etc. and sometimes more happens, it affects your faith. And you wonder, why God, am I that bad of a person. Its heart breaking to see so many other people suffer to and you can' t help them either. There are so many things I don't understand in life and it's frustrating when you can't figure out how to correct something. I've prayed for more faith. I've prayed for more of the Holy Spirit in my life. I asked everyday for forgiveness of sin. I feel so alone sometimes.
  5. You're not alone. I'm quite stressed about my situation and still single myself. I'll say a prayer for you. sport123

    Fasting

What's the real reason to fast? If we fast will it bring answers to pray quicker, bring healing, blessing, etc.
  7. Everything seems to be a leap of faith. How do you really know if something is from God or evil. In this chaotic world, it is very difficult to discern the truth and what is from the Lord. Let's say you pray about something earnestly, and several things come about to make you think this is the answer. Maybe the Lord is giving me these signs. Or am I looking for things subconsciously to back up what I want. Then maybe the next day, something will come to discourage you and make you think differently. It makes you very cautious to take a leap of faith and confused over time. Because many times you take the wrong leap. How do you know if these answers or signs are not from evil? Because something could seem right, but not be right. I know we are to wait on the Lord, but time seems to be flying by and decisions need to be made. Sometimes you are presented with several options in life. How do you really know if something is the right one. Time is so precious, and you almost need a neon sign to come out of the sky and say this is it. sport123
  8. Thanks all!
  9. Thanks all! sport123
  10. Thanks. I hope it's worth the wait. sport123
  11. Is there such a thing as a soul mate? True love? One person meant for us to marry or several to choose from (how do you choose if that's the case). And if one specific person is meant for us, what if we missed or overlooked that person. Where in the Bible does it explain this? What if we moved away or they moved elsewhere. How in the world are you to know if they are the one when you meet them? How should you feel about the situation if you've prayed for them for over 12 years? How do you know if you are meant to be married? I sometimes wonder if this wait is worth it sometimes. Especially when prime years have passed by. I would like to have a kid before it's to late. Could it be my lack of faith, for not having them yet. I'm just trying to figure it out, and would like to correct the problem if possible. sport123
  12. How do you truly know your calling in life. Inside, you know you are meant for something, not just any career. But have no peace about anything. You pray and pray, next thing you know, many years have passed by and still restless. Could you be called to some kind of ministry, based on not being able to get the jobs you wanted or any job you would find fulfilment in. Why have these desires of certain things, if not allowed to do them. What cues does God use to direct you in such a chaotic world. This is something I've pray earnestly about for a long time.
