  1. Its alot easier to ignore everyone who claim to be prophets than to try and pick out who really is a prophet ( If there are any ) There isnt a single thing anyone can tell me that I need for my spritual health that is not in the bible.
  2. Do more than exist. Live. Do more than hear. Listen. Do more than agree. Cooperate. Do more than talk. Communicate. Do more than grow. Bloom. Do more than spend. Invest. Do more than think. Create. Do more than work. Excel. Do more than share. Give. Do more than decide. Discern. Do more than consider. Commit. Do more than forgive. Forget. Do more than help. Serve. Do more than coexist. Reconcile. Do more than sing. Worship. Do more than think. Plan. Do more than dream. Do. Do more than see. Perceive. Do more than read. Apply. Do more than receive. Reciprocate. Do more than choose. Focus.
  3. Our physical body, we have not recieved our new bodies as of yet. Though we are a new creation in him many times Paul speaks of the conflict and dual nature in Romans and other passages. Rom 7:22-25 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Our Temple is our Body. 1Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
  4. I am just as much a failure as anybody welcome to the crowd, but in him we are so many things other than failure... Child, Prince, Princess, Free, Heirs to the throne ... just to name a few Thank Goodness for he who loves us. My whole point was that we as humans love to pick pet sins and harp on others when we should also look at our own bodies and consider how am I glorifying God in my habits? I am sure this is something we should all work on... Perhaps a thread entitled Body of Christ and how we together can work together in improving ourselves for him by taking care of what is his. My apolgy I believe I have posted some info in the wrong threads...
  5. Kandi it really depends on what type of judging your doing there is simple judgement without knowing and yes that is wrong ... but there is also righteous judgement of the word and in that we are free in regards too. The common phrase who are you to judge me, or that the bible says we should not judge must be taken in proper context. When it comes to God's word we judge accordingly... Now ... In regards to smoking etc ... Honestly, I see it no different than any other bad thing we do to our body. This is GOD's temple after all. Anything we do, laziness, bad food, smoking, excess alcohol, brings destruction to that which God built. I do not advocate smoking as no good comes from it, unlike alcohol when used properly. One should evalute your life and theirs as a whole and not pick on one aspect. If you truly think about it, we all should be exercising, eating right, not smoking, drinking appropriately, watching less TV, and brushing our teeth. This body is no longer ours its his....
  6. I did not see this posted, but I could have missed it. Its totally free and you get a personal one on one counsoler as you do the online course. Each of these counselors have been through the course and have been addicted to porn at one time. They no exactly what your going through Setting Captives Free
  7. How does repentence work in regards to addictions? If true repentance is turinng from and turning to God ... If someone never overcomes their addiction are they never forgiven?? Isnt true repentance required for forgiveness?? Logically then ... if your addicted then you cant have forgiveness until you turn completely away from that addiction .... Following this is one who is addicted saved? No repentence no forgiveness....
  8. We are to test everything .... There is no your beliefs and my beliefs. There is only one belief. I test my own beliefs all the time and will freely admit if I make a mistake. We are called to point out error in doctrine when we see it, by claiming that you hold the key and no one can change it, sounds like pride. I spoke truth that not all penecostal groups are close to being biblical. The incorporate many off shoots. Its such a broad term. Even satan can twist scripture to his own desire. We HAVE to agree ..... Disagreement only brings division and it makes us look like fools. How can we bring people to Christ if we cant even agree on Christ's own teachings. We either stand as one or we fall, look all around everywhere the church is being attacked most importantly from within. Movements such as Word of Faith and false prophets like Benny Hinn do nothing, but harm to the name of God. If its not in the bible we dont need it, why do we insist on seeking out the advice of others.
  9. You respect it you say .. but here you say your right and that you are firm on your beliefs ... which means your ALWAYS right. Not all penecostal groups are even close to being biblical
  10. What do we need besides the bible? Nothing ..... What more can he say that needs to be said thats not in the bible. Nothing ..... Why do people insist on listening to others first before reading the bible. Why?? ... Becuase no one freaking reads their bibles anymore.. ugh
  11. Book Description Ruth Bell Graham knows about prodigals - two of her five children were spiritual wanderers. From the pain she experienced as she prayed, watched, and waited for them to return to the fold comes Prodigals and Those Who Love Them. This sensitive, encouraging book expresses both the hurt and disappointment of the one who wanders and the confusion and fear of the one who waits. To capture both sides, Mrs. Graham recounts stories about five prodigals who returned, interlacing them with the stories of those who loved them. Also included are Mrs. Grahams own poems and diary entries written during the prodigal years of her two sons, as well as hymns and Bible verses that brought her solace. This is not a 'how to' book that dispenses advice on how to win back a prodigal. Instead, it is a collection of readings one woman turned to for comfort when her children wandered from God. It shows how Mrs. Grahams faith persevered and grew regardless of the outcome of her prodigals stories. Readers will be touched by the honest feelings of pain, frustration, and uncertainty Mrs. Graham expresses so eloquently. And they will share in the lessons she learned about Gods sovereignty and ultimate peace. This book was previously published by Focus on the Family. A foreword by the eldest Graham daughter, Gigi Graham Tchividjian, who is also a mother of a prodigal, has been added. A closing article by Mrs. Graham, Gigi, and Gigi's son, Tullian, is new to the book as well. https://secure.billygraham.org/freeoffer.asp?f=0&
