  1. That is way too far-fetched! If we use your logic that arafat is the beast then I guess that makes us the whore of babylon...

Incidentally how can you use three crowns to describe one kingdom or crown with regards to Netanyahu et al:?

You didnt mention the other prime ministers of Israel, you only went back three leaders, does that mean that Begin, Dayan, Golda and others were in league with hussein?

    hmm...

  2. Hi everyone,

I really enjoyed reading this article this morning.

It always seems so apparent to me that Muhammed has no scriptural foundation for whom his followers say he is.

Yet in Jesus we have such overwhelming evidence to support the fact he is the Messiah and the Son of God. It amazes me because so much of the evidence to support this doesnt even come from the Bible itself.

Even if you wanted to ignore the Bible as so many choose to do, how can you ignore the pages and pages of historical evidence, all of the archaeological evidence, and testimonies from hundreds of sources during His lifetime, most of whom were not even Christian!

And yet with the flimsiest of evidence and the most scantily clad presumptions, Muhammed comes to delude a quarter of the planets population that he in fact is the prophet Moses speaks of in Deuteronomy?

    It makes no sense!

The whole basis for their proof comes from the Hebrew Torah. The same Torah they claim is filled with untruths, particularly in the story of Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac.

So they base their entire religion on the founding charter of a religion they claim to be a false religion?

    I dont get it...

How easily people can be deceived...

  3. Wow, I really have missed alot since I went away! LOL!

Anyhow, all I wanted to say was that Melchizedek couldnt be Shem because Shem had a mother and a father and a genealogy.

I think Melchizedek could have been a preincarnate Christ.

    What do you think.

Hopefully this will let us get this thread back on track!

    :)

  4. Hi Eph,

I am kind of confused. I read Genesis 9 and saw where Noah said "Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."

But I dont see the connection between Shem and Melchizedek.

    Enlighten us...

    Thanks, Joe

  5. Hi,

Who do you think Melchizedek was? Was he Jesus?

His title was King Of Salem(peace) and High Priest Of God?

Jesus is referred to as the King Of Peace and High Priest of God.  Right?

Now here is what I find most interesting....

He brought forth bread and wine as a sacrifice and blessed Abraham.

The next time we see bread and wine as a sacrifice is at the last supper.

Also, Melchizedek is the only individual in the entire Bible that is both a King and a Priest.

The only time we ever see those two words together is in the New Testament when it is written that because of our faith in Jesus we have become Kings and Priests.

Usually, blessings and sacrifices always meant a blood sacrifice. Could Abraham have been so priveledged that he was allowed to see the manifestation of Gods Covenant to him incarnate?

That through him all the nations of the world shall be blessed?

I always have been intrigued by Melchizedek, but lately I see him in a whole new light.

    What do you think?

    Thanks, Joe

  6. Hi,

As a former Catholic, I must say that I completely agree that Mary is the mother of Jesus, and if Jesus is God incarnate then hence the mother of God.

It does not imply that those who hold to this belief affirm that Mary created God.

Mary was the true and everlasting Ark Of The Covenant.

To the Hebrews, the Ark Of The Covenant was the most revered item in all the world. Because they believed that God's power and spirit resided within those walls of acacia and gold.

Even so, it is the same with this Mary. God must have smiled down upon her when she was born. He knew that through her, he would be able to offer the world salvation, gather back his lost sheep and forever undo the evil that befell man in the Garden Of Eden.

It's a shame that so many people choose to revile this simple and humble servant of God.

It's amazing how the world despises the hebrews and the Jews simply because God chose them. The world was envious of their special relationship. What's so special about the Jews that they should be chosen and not me! And so they have been persecuted all this time.

It is the same even with Mary. Instead of treating her with some well deserved respect and calling her blessed, the majority of people would instead say...

What makes her so #### special?

What did she do to deserve this honor?

    She is nobody's mother!

Jesus probably didnt even like her!

She was just a plain ordinary sinner just like me!

She is damned more than she is blessed. With Christians leading the way. Does nothing ever change? Does history always have to repeat itself?

I love her just as I know Jesus loves me. On Mothers Day I thank her and recognize her as the greatest mother that ever lived.

And just as true Christians imitate Christ because he is a perfect Son. Mary should be imitated as a perfect mother.

The heart and spirit of what Munari says rings true.

Well, thats all I have to say.

    Thanks, Joe

  7. Hi,

I happen to enjoy Stephen King's books. I never felt they were anti-christian.

In The Stand, I thought he was pro-Jesus and Anti-Satan. There were many references by Mother Abigail to Jesus. It was also the first book I ever read that actually tried to portray an apocalyptic end with a final battle between good and evil. Of course it was not a very scriptural interpretation, but it had enough truth mixed in to make it thought provoking.

I've noticed that King seems to always include Christianity in the background and foreground in most of his books and movie adaptations. He seems to wrestle with his faith a great deal in his storytelling.

Needful Things was a great lesson in how satan can tear people from their faith with temptations and earthly desires. In the end he is rejected, but not before his victims become consumed by their pride and vanity.

In Pet Semetary, it seemed that the movie screamed a loud message against man trying to be God and recreate life. It showed that even when we think we are in control how things can go horribly wrong. (I know this seems like a stretch! LOL!)

The Green Mile seemed to portray heaven and angels while delivering his stance against public execution and capital punishment. The movie ends where John Coffey(like the drink except it's spelled different) dies and goes to a better place, with words "Heaven, I'm in Heaven" ringing in the background.

Of course King has also served up some very creepy plots such as Christine, Cujo, Carrie, etc.

In any event, I dont believe he is as malevolent as some portray him.

    Thanks, Joe

  8. Hi Tatie,

Think of the love God has for you,and also the love we as brothers and sisters have for you as well. You are a special creation who God loves dearly. I will pray that Jesus comforts you and that you can feel Hi Holy presence as he embraces you and guides you to Gods will.

Always remember that in the end we will al be together, and words like pain, war, hate and suffering will never be uttered again.

I will pray for your strength and that your spirit is always uplifted.

    God Bless You!

    Your brother in Christ, Joe

  9. I love reading all these interpretations of Israel in prophecy.

I have a question for Ephraim...

I once read a book by Herbert Armstrong, he believed that that Ephriam and Mannaseh represented the United States and England. He added that it was the fullfilment ot the physical blessing of one being a great nation and the other being a company of nations. That they will possess the gate of their enemies and have great resources. That the younger would be greter than the eldest brother.

    What do you think?

Also, I dont remember who mentioned it, but the refernce to Dan as a serpent in its way does refer to travel and is not a reference to the lineage of the anti-christ.

    Thanks, Joe

  10. Thanks Prime and everyone else.

I feel a little better today. I know that all of your advice is well intentioned and from the heart and I thank each and everyone of you.

I still miss her but I believe in my heart that we were not meant to be now and I would hate to have been torn from my love for God and the Lord.

I said some angry words to God that night and I hope He forgives me. I was just so overwhelmed and felt so alone and I blamed Him for losing her. I hope that he knows that I really didnt mean to act like that towards Him.

The tear rolling down my face right now is because I feel bad for being so angry with Him. I will not shed anymore tears for her at this point.

    Thanks again, Joe

  11. I'm single, and a couple of days ago I met this realy cool single mom named Beth. We instantly hit it off and were really having so much fun being together.

I was pretty happy because I thought I found a new friend and hopefully something more than that down the road.

On Monday night around 11 pm Beth called me and asked me where I had been all night and that she had missed me.

I told her that each Monday evening I go to Bible Study. She laughed and said, no seriously where were you. I told her that I was being serious and that I wouldnt lie about something like that.

After some very uncomfortable silence she said I cant believe you! Please tell me this is a joke and that your just pulling my leg.

I was so sad because I knew that this was going to be the last time I would ever speak to this person I had absolutely fallen for.

She told me she couldnt believe that someone with my background and education could ever be into something like that.

She said well whatever and hung up on me.

I spent all day today missing her.

    Joe

  12. I believe that there must be a falling away and the son of perdition must be revealed before the rapture.

I agree with Xan on this.

When I read 1 Thessalonians I feel as though Paul tells them that there will be a Rapture but doesnt make it clear as to when.

When I read 2 Thessalonians, it looks as though Paul wants to clear up any confusion he may have created in his first letter. In this letter he tells the specific timeline of events prior to the rapture.

What do you think? They are very short Books. Read them and let me know what you think.

  13. Hi,

I just want to let all of you know how much I really enjoy coming to Worth Boards and reading and sharing all of our thoughts! Of course I have my favorite posters like Xan, Bob, Angels, Kiwi, Prime and Munari. I know I left out so many more I couldnt think of! LOL!

But I think it's really cool that in the last three months we have so many more new and interesting people that have joined us.

I love the heated debates as much as I do the inspirational posts and the humurous ones too.

Regardless of our denominations, we are really a great group of diverse and special people all with a passion for what we believe!

    I think that's so cool!
