  1. As a male myself, this is a hard thing to understand. I always find myself relying on 1 Corinthians 7:8-9. "Now, to the unmarried and to the widows I say that it would be better for you to continue to live alone as I do,. But if you cannot restrain your desires, go ahead and marry - it is better to marry than to burn with passion." This is important for me, because just like you, I have found myself dealing with the same issue. When I am attracted to a woman who is, as you say a "danger magnet" I think of two important things. One, If I am meant to be with someone, Christ will put her in my life and two, maybe I'm meant to help her. You are completely capable of helping others without being attached to them in a relationship. So keep your chin up with these things in mind. If you're meant to have someone, God will surely lead you to her.

    In Christ,

  2. I'm quite distraught by the number of people who ask an irrelevant question. The question they ask can be asked in different ways, but boils down to the same main point. Why would God let (enter specific tragedy here) happen to us? Now, I'd like to take this opportunity to explain why. The whole time I've been alive, the United States as a whole has been pushing God out of everything. Examples of this are TV, magazines, newspapers, schools, and even the pledge of allegiance. This is all done because it "offends" others. I'm sorry, but if a Jew came up to me and said happy Hanukkah during Christmas time, it wouldn't bother me at all; and I'd most likely wish him/her the same. I see no offense in that. We are all entitled to our own opinions and he/she will have his/her as I have mine. I refuse to be offended by his religion, because it's what he believes and I respect him for that.

Now, seeing as God has been pushed out of every aspect of our lives, why do we see fit to blame Him for our tragedies. We have pushed him out and being the Gentleman that He is, I believe He has done the respectable thing by lifting His protective hand off of America. We are no longer one nation under God, because that may

  3. After reading your comment, I re-read the passage and you are correct. For some reason the image in my mind was different then what was stated, and I thank you for pointing that out to me. I still believe there are more passages like this one, but it might just be how I have mistakenly read the passage that had made me see them in this light, so I will try to find them and if I have any more questions I will repost. Thanks for your help, it has really eased my mind.

  4. OK, so I have not posted in quite some time, but this question has arose in my head and I cannot seem to find an answere. So here is the question. How can kings in the Bible be in the favor of God by killing thousands of people claiming it to be the "Purging" of Judah and Jerusalem? The perfect example of this is in 2Chronicles 34:3-7. I understand that killing these people cleans Jerusalem of the "un-pure/anti-christs", but is this the christian example, because if that's the case I should not strive to change anyones heart to the Lord, but instead kill them. I have heard numerous times of "cleansing" also known as the Holocaust. I know for a fact that this period of time was not a good thing, but to me this sounds the same as what I have been reading in the Bible minus the torture of the Holocaust. 2Chronicles is not the only example, but it is the one I've recently come across and I'm just not understanding, because there must be something that I'm missing. This just seems to me like another religious fanatical disaster and I don't want to believe that, because I'm strong in my faith, but this could ruin it. If you have any answeres or consepts please share them, because this is not right in my heart at this moment in time, because I can not see the cause of killing thousands in the name of the Lord.

  5. God is the amazing joy of this world

When comparing any sin to eternal life, I believe eternal happyness is more important then mortal sin.

Shall we dance in the joy of the Lord for He dances when one sinner repents.

We are all sinners and we can all repent, so lets make the Lord dance.

Dance with me for the love of the Lord is overbearing. :emot-heartbeat:

  6. Manicsmiley,

My observation of youth like yourself is that you are attention starved and feel you are "misunderstood" by logical people. This behavior and fashion of yours gets you noticed which makes you feel special or "unique". Sadly you dance with unnecesssary darkness in your life and live unhappily as a result.

My hope is that you are on this forum because none of your life is making sense and you want a change. Well one is certainly available for you here so I hope you'll stay around and chat with our brothers and sisters about what's going on with you.

    God Bless

It is understandable why he is misunderstood. If he talkes as well as he types I wouldn't understand him either. Manic, I don't hate you in any way, I love you like Christ likes you, but every post you make is trying to get attention, which is just as bad as self-validation, which is a sin. The pharacies did this many times in the Bible and Jesus became angry as I am. Please understand, Jesus and all of us here love you just the way you are, but we are unwilling to leave you that way. We want you to be just like Jesus.

    God bless.

  7. If it was thou shall not kill, every soilder would go to Hell, which is not true. David killed many and was one of Gods most cherished men. I'm not sure what version of the Bible you have, but I would suggest getting a different one, because that is a big mistranslation.

    In Christ,

  8. God loves you, as He loves us all, but maybe He is talking to you and you arn't listening. Trust me I know. I spent most of my life with the same question untill I finally opened my ears and wasn't just listening for what I wanted to hear. I hope I helped.

    God bless.

I don't trust what is up on the internet, because personal experiences are so much more reliable.

  10. I have, as of yesterday, made a cross neckles out of two nails and copper wire. Today somone bumped into me and it had stabbed me. It hurt a good deal. When I went to lunch, I held my girlfriends hand and then began to pray. I had prayed that He would help dull the pain. Right after I had prayed for this, my girlfriend says "Wow, my headache is gone!" I started to laugh and went back to my prayer. I had relized that this was a lesson. It was selfish of me to pray for myself, when there are others hurting, so to teach me He took away the pain my girlfriend was feeling and not mine, just to teach me this lesson.

Thank you Lord for always being able to teach me.

    In Christ,

  11. The best way I can answere the question "Was Jesus married?" is No, He was not.

Ask yourself this, how could a man tell his apostles to leave everything behind including wives and then get married to marry?

The only time Jesus was alone, what was He doing? Praying.

And lastly there is a verse that says Jesus was surrounded by so many that He didn't have time to eat. This verse is Mark 6:31

I hope that I helped.

Blessed our we with Christ. Amen.

  12. You have to find a church thats right for you. If you like old style hymns go to a church like that. If you like bands on stage and upbeat music go to a non-denominational or an assembly of God church. Truely, it is up to you and what you like. Try a bunch, it never hurts. In the mean time though, make your home your church, read, pray, rejoice in His name.

I hope that I helped. God bless you.
