That is true about Noah, but if you will recall, God made a way of escape, the ark of safety. He didn't leave him in the flood waters and help him to swim. Just as Noah had a way of escape, I believe those watching and waiting on the Lord's return will have an escape from the great tribulation. If not, I would say we best be storing up non-perishable foods, water and medical supplies while we can.
yep..good advice
Again, I disagree. We will be working in GOD'S provision. Manna from heaven. God will provide for us...no need to "store up treasures" on earth. Remember that in the last day's there will be so much supernatural happening that people will be numbed by it. The fact is that there are ALREADY people going through a great tribulation that are now bitter at Western missionaries because they said they would not have to go through great tribulation. This is sad. Not only that if Jesus came to take away Christians first that would mean he is returning 2 more times!! No where in my bible does it say he is returning 2 more times...the idea is rediculous. Remember scripture say's EVERY eye will see him. He won't come in secret and take us away first...everyone will see him coming in the clouds. THere is A LOT in scripture about enduring in times of tribulation...I can't see how God would make so much scripture irrelevant for Christians.
In fact the first time people even consitered that Jesus would take Christians away to heaven was not until Augistine presented it. Because he was in the greek style of thinking that has to seperate the physical from the spiritual. He did not believe a MAN could return to earth.
If you talk to the majority of people that have not heard any teaching from other books and materials but that bible...almost all of them believe that they will be going through tribulation. Corrie Ten boom talked about a tribe in Africa that have turned against the church because they were promised they would not go through tribulation...sure enough they went through great tribulation and were not prepared. The missionaries repented saying "we should have prepared thier hearts for tribulation.
Even if I AM wrong, I think it would be safer to be prepared for it.
It's just that the Bible discribes so much detail about the tribulation, it does not make sense that we would be in scripture if it is irrelevant.
It would be unjust for God to take people in only ONE generation out of tribulation when through the ages people have gone through tribulation. Nevermind the fact that it clearly tells us about martyrdom in Revelation.
