  1. Butero you are correct God does recognize holiness and commands us to be Holy. But we are to live through the Holiness given to us by Jesus. If we truly live a christian life and follow the teachings of Jesus we will be holy. You are to live free of sin and to live free of sin is possible through the power of the holy spirit. This is where alot of people are confused now and teach false doctrin. They think that you get saved and you continue you your life and not even worry about the sin you commit. But Jesus clearly states in John 5:14 and John 8:11 to go and sin no more. So if Jesus believes we can live with out sin so do i. If we cant acheive the strength through Jesus to be overcomers of sin then we really arent living the life Jesus called us to live, which is a HOLY lifestyle. This is where the so called homosexual christian pervert the word of God and say that Jesus accepts the sin they live in when God hates sin. Romans Ch. 1 and 1Co 6: talk about who will not inherit the kingdon of God, they both contain scriptures that people should read and study on. With the rapture; as i stated in an earlier post it doesnt matter if you believe in the rapture or not because the belief of the rapture is not what will save your soul or get you into heaven it is the blood of jesus that does that and nothing else.
  2. The rapture is based on a vision of a 15-year old Scottish girl named Margaret Macdonald. It isnt in the bible. Jesus will only come back one more time and that will be the end of it. The rapture teaches that christians will be raptured away by Jesus to avoid tribulation. So the rapture really isnt in the bible. But if you wanna believe in the rapture it wont change anything about your salvation it is just part of 90% of the churches now adays doctrine. you can read about it here http://www.godonthe.net/evidence/rapture.htm or here http://www.netpluscom.com/~johnsonr/rapture.html Peace Like A River ThomasC
  3. For one luke got his story from the other disciples because he was not converted until after Jesus was crucified and resurrected and Luke actually followed Paul around most of the time. So there really isnt any contradiction it just seems that matthew left out where Jairus' servant came and told him his daughter was dead and put it that Jairus stated she was dead, he also didnt state Jairus name, because it was of no importance to the story nor does it change anything because his daughter was dead when Jesus got there , so how is that a contradiction? either way Jesus raised her from the dead.
  4. and to answer your question yes you can walk away from your salvation, if you turn back to sin willingly, paul states in hebrews ch. 10 that if you willingly sin after recieving the knowledge of the truth there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, he goes on to state in Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? If you truley repent of your sins and turn away from them and live your life through the spirit of god, you can overcome all sin, yes we fail as men but if you live by faith in god when you do fail the spirit will quicken you to repent of what youve done. There are to many "christians" who teach that you can sin all you want because jesus died for our sins but thats wrong. In John 5:14 and 8: 11 jesus said to go and sin no more so through jesus we can live without sin. Its not easy but possible. But i like to remember that no matter what you do god will always give you one more second chance. If you backslide god will always be there for he will never leave us nor forsake us. check out the song one more second chance by ths band http://www.silencingthestones.com
  5. Judas was saved and did do as the other 12 did. but he backslid from his calling and yes jesus knew he would. read Joh 13:27 it says that satan entered judas after he sopped the bread in the cup with jesus so satan was not always in judas.
