My favorite is usually whichever one I am singing at the moment. It seems that I tend to sing hymns in my mind throughout the day, and whatever is happening at the moment triggers a different hymn. Friday night we ended up in our storm cellar (tornado was headed our way, followed by golf ball size hail). My daughter was really upset and worried. I started singing "Blessed Assurance". Mandi said "Mom, the only one I can think of right now is "I'll Fly Away"!

aww really thats soo cute of her, but oh my I hope you are all ok!! did the tornado come near yous? my sister would be fansinated, she loves LOVES tornados, she knows the twister film word for word lol. But yes I love how different things trigger different hymns, happens to me too

I was just listening to a Hymn I sing in church To God Be The Golry, and then I thought.....what is my favourite hymn, I like all the hyms old and modern but my favourite hymn would have to be Love Lifted Me.

I love this hymn because I can really relate to it, I had had some rough storms in my life and God has been there to calm them, his love lifted me and not only lifted me but saved me too!!!!!!!

Hmm.....well I have to say that i too have had my fare share of friends, I have both Christain friends and unsaved friends, I try to balance out the 2, but it is difficult, my unsaved friends want me to go to places that I would not want to go and vice versa.

I guess am trying to say a ture friend should have respect for you and you back. Jesus told us to love our neighbours as we would love ourselves and I try to do that. A true friend is someone who knows all about you and still wants to be your best friend, they are there for you when no ones else is, they give you advice when no one else wants to, they keep you company when no ones wants to be around you, they love you for you and they don't try to be someone else around you.

But I think the bestest friend that any one could ever have is Jesus, he has more love for us than anyone, it was his love for us that made him die on the cross, he cares for us and he protects us.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

Odditblue, this is such an encouragement.

I am blessed to have such a wonderful saviour in my life.

That has really reassured me that Jesus will like he says never leave us nor forsake us!!!!!

I myself have experienced something like that and its amazing when it happens because you feel so close to him and you can really feel his presence.

Thats a good statement, after reading that, this song came to my head its by a Christain band called Bluetree, they are from Belfast in Northern Ireland. Its called God of this city here are the words:
