This is a confusing age for children 13-19 (esp girls)...
I went through it with my own....
Things did not get better until I decided to love her through it...and not judge her....we have to be the parent and see the bigger picture...
At 15, my daughter left to go stay with my sister...I called her one day and said,
"no matter what you do, I do not hate you, judge you, or blame you and I will always be here for you no matter what."
She came home that night. And I learned to listen, REALLY listen to her...and to not worry about all the Christian expectations, or what kind of a parent it made me look like, if my kids weren't perfect.
I told her every single day after that, that I thought she was absolutely beautiful inside and out.
Today, she is 20. She leads worship (music) at church with her fiance...and she is one of my closest friends and I believe I am one of hers.
Take heart, God isn't done with her yet.
This is part of her "natural" separation from you (ya, not done in the best way I know)...It is part of the growing up , and growing out...the longing for independence....If she does not go through this, she will still be living at home at 35 :-)
Temper it as an ADULT...pick your battles, but mostly LOVE her and be wise for her.....She needs your love and acceptance now more than ever...
....sometimes it takes a village to grow a child.... :-)
