  1. Because we believe this, we also believe that every truth claim must be fully defendable from this source. For that reason we do not allow people to use other sources to justify their belief system You believe the bible to be inerrant? which version or versions are you referring to excactly? AH! The old translation argument. Well, which revision of hte Book of Mormon do you believe is inerrant? There may be flaws in both of them. you cant surely believe that the bible was translated perfectly?
  2. But you believe they are the same right?
  3. God is all powerful, he knows all, he sees all and he has a body of flesh and bones. There are many more but im sure you will be very happy with these... No not really. The Bible reveals God as being noncorpreal, meaning has no body of flesh and bone. You should believe the Bible, and not Mormonism. Where in the bible does it say he has no body? John 4:24 God is a spirit, and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. Is that the only verse? How about this: Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. This was after jesus was resurrected. Has he lost his body since then?

The Bible refers to God in physical terms, but those are only anthropromorphisms. God could not be omnipresent and at the same time have a physical body. Those two terms are mutually incompatible. Then where in the bible does it say he is omnipresent?
  6. Salvation is eternal life. Any questions? OK so they are the same thing. Now what is Salvation/Eternal Life? and if an atheist came up to you and asked why would I want salvation or eternal life? what would be your response? Salvation/Eternal life is Jesus. Eternal life is not a state of being, Eternal life is a person. Jesus is the LIFE. As for what to say to an atheist... You should be able to give your testimony. You should be able to present what difference Jesus/Eternal Life has made in your life. Things like peace of mind, a clear conscience, the love and presence of God in your life, no fear of death, a sense of purpose and direction, are things that all reasonalble people value, and look for in their lives. These are things available in salvation but not necessarily found elsewhere. Jesus/Eternal life is "today." We have a know-so salvation. We are not waiting to find, or gain Eternal Life is ours today. We are living in Eternal Life today, if we have receieved Jesus Christ as Savior. He has come to live on the inside of us in the person of the Holy Spirit, and it is this presence in our hearts that gives witness to our salvation. It is His presence that brings to us, all of those priceless benefits I mentioned above. Isnt another reason that you would go to heaven and not hell?

  10. Believe me I know that nobody will be converted, I'm not an idiot. I'm not quite sure what you mean by riding the goat. I wrote this as information to other christians because many of them simply didnt know what we believe about the creation.
  11. There is everything in common. It teaches that the soul is immortal and part of a bigger substance or something close to these lines. For example, it teaches a pre-existing spirit that inhabits a fallen body which is then meant for testing and then escape from the fallen body. This is Gnosticism summed up when it comes to the creation of the world mate. Im not excactly sure what you mean by the soul but we believe we will never cease to exist as I'm sure you do. we dont believe in being part of a bigger substance. after we die we are resurrected and our bodies are perfect. I dont know where you get the escaping from a fallen body part.
  12. So what about baptism? is it necessary after we have been saved? (or before) (No longer able to reply in the other topic, had to try here) Baptism: Not a Requirement for Salvation- Baptism, Jesus Christ blessings candi Then what is meant by the verse: John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
  13. There is almost nothing in common with the gnostic view of the creation.
  14. (This post was edited by a moderator to remove quotations of Mormon religious texts. We do not believe they hold any authority, thus they are not pertinent to any discussion of truth) Then I'll remove it. This wasn't a discussion
