Your new pastor would smack my fingers.....my Bible is full of highlighted scripture! Amen! Let's just say I didn't invite him to take a peek at my Bible!lol

My Preach always says, "If you can't write in your Bible put it on a shelf and get one that you can write in". That's how strongly he felt about the importanence of note taking. He tought us that the Bible is our manual to life. However, I have had a new pastor teach me that it is Holy and deserve to be respected as such.

I am new at this "Chat thing". I hope that you can see this, because it is very important. The word "Gospel" in the old testament refered to victory in battle. After Christ died on the cross the word took on a spiritual since. Meaning that God gave us vicory of the spiritual battle that is sin.

I believe that the idea of children worshiping only with their parents is not a relative way of worship today. That is that children need to be put in seperated by age groups in order to successfully present the gospel. I also do believe that it is important for children to witness their parents in worship. However, the gospel has change and that is why we need to present it in such a way that we can each understand. The gospel, or "the good news" is no longer about God delivering his children from sinful men in the world, but rather about God delivering his children from their own sin. It has become a spiritual battle and that's what we need to remember.
