...i almost gave up but i'm last...again.

I was walking to the Park and Ride this morning (first time for walking) and it was about 4am. Not many cars on the road but there was one of those traffic signs that read the speed of passing cars. As I was walking along I amused myself by noticing how fast the cars were going in a 35 mph zone. Most were going between 35 and 42. At one point when no cars were around I looked up at the sign and it said 2, then it change to 3 miles per hour. I had to laugh out loud when I realized it was doing the radar gun on me as I was approaching :-)

Not only did the Lord give me a fantastic job just in time but I'm going to work today on Saturday for time-and-a-half pay also. Our car held out until two days ago and we had to take it in for repairs. We only had about half the stuff done that needs fixing but without the added income we would have been stuck.

It is just amazing to me how much life can turn around so fast! Praise Jesus, praise trials, and praise them when they are over, at least for awhile :-)

I can look back on the fact that we had lost everything except we are still together my wife and I. My health was to the point that I didn't think I would last long, and we were eating the crust of the bread we had stored in the freezer because we had no money for food. My health has returned and we are now dinks (double income no kids) seeing how our son is grown and off on his own with his own wife as it shoud be.

So when you are at the bottom of the rung of life and it seems that nothing will ever be right again in your life, hang on to Christ, hang on to love, faith, and hope. I am in awe!
