  1. As we celebrate another Christmas and attend another church service, I can't help to think about the birth of Jesus. In Isaiah 7:14, it says
  2. Some people say for easier reading. But I tend to believe it's the devil's way of twisting scripture. Just my opinion. My personal pref. .... NKJV. I agree! The devil will use any tactic he can to twist scripture. I too prefer NKJV. Yes, I voted. I agree I DISAGREE. By saying that a translated version of the bible is the devil's way of twisting scripture is obsurd. By your reasoning then, the only bible version that we can actually trust is the original manuscripts and writings that were written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek; because these were written by the original authors. How can you be sure that when the bible was translated into English that it was done correctly by a Christian brother and not by someone who's heart was with the devil? I've tried reading KJV and NKJV and I can't understand a word they are saying. I may be a newbie to Christianity, but those versions of the bible can be very intimidating and difficult to understand for a believer just starting out. There are many different ways to say the same thing. What's wrong with adapting the word of Christ to the modern English language, so that a wider range of people can understand the teachings of Christ?
  3. Thanks to everyone's replies. I now have a better understanding of how I should pray and to whom I should do so. Thanks for everyone's comments and concerns on the issue.
  4. I don't know, I figured if there was an option that I was missing, I might as well include that. If someone does check the other button, then they can explain why they did so in a reply if they feel comfortable doing so.
  5. When you pray, whom are you suppose to pray to? Is it God, Jesus, Saints, somebody else? If you do pray to the Saints, do you think they have any power to act on your prayers? The reason I'm asking is because I currently go to a bible study, mainly because I have so many questions that I want answered. However, sometimes you can't come out to the people you know and ask a stupid question like this. Hopefully, the people in this chat forum will help me resolve some of the dumb questions that I have.
  6. As the child grows and forgets his infancy, this memory will never be forgotten by his parents. I'm sure every time they see a machine like that they will all get a smile to their face...I know I would if I had a kid that got trapped in it. I also know, that if I did something like this as a child, my parents would tell the story throughout my life. These are the memories that make parenting fun.
