  1. Sorry if I'm going to offend anyone here, but I believe when you watch horror movies, it opens doors in your life that shouldn't be opened. I experienced it first hand that horror movies can be extremely bad for you. It doesn't matter if one doesn't believe in the stuff in the movie, it's just the fact that it is demonic. And if I can't invite God to watch something with me, it's just not right. Afterall, He's living in me and watch all I watch. That's why I immediately switch programs or movies when they use God's name, doesn't matter how great the movie or programme is.

  2. Gracie Gracie Gracie :)

My dear sweet stubborn sister :) I love you enough to tell you exactly what is on my mind and my heart. And like I said this morning, it was never your money to begin with and you said here that the Lord has pressed it hard on your heart to let it go and bless them with the money. Something like that will not come from satan as he will not do himself in like that. It will be the most noble thing to let that money go and give this over to God. These people have been causing you a lot of trouble and tears and heartache, why try to take revenge by forcing an issue that can cause more problems?

I may be wrong, but whatever your decision is, know that I love you and I am here for you.

    Love always

    Your little sister :)

    Thanks little sis,

Yeah like I always say, you are the youngest but when it comes to this kind of thing I honor your advise and know I can listen to you, LOL. You have a decernment like no other that I know.

    Love you a lot

    Your sis

  3. Maybe I'm off base here and maybe I don't understand what this is about or I'm missing a big point, but...

I do not know anything about NZ law - but there must be some type of Landlord/Tenant laws in your country.

There must also be some type of Legal Aid to help people with complaints like this. You are due a copy of whatever you signed. Call and see what your rights are concerning the deposit. If that money is legally yours, I would pursue whatever means necessary to collect it. God Bless.

Yes there is laws regarding this, and we have the papers to persue it, but like I said it's as if God press it very hard on my heart to let go of it. These ppl already took three other ppl to court last year and they are so manipulant, they got more out of those ppl than the actually wanted in the first place. We lifed in that circumstances for 2 years which they tried everything in their power to make life difficult for us. They just don't listen to any reason whatsoever and twist and turn thing around the way they want it. They actually went and took phot's of the garden more than a month after we moved out to ptove that we haven't attent to the garden, which is not true. So you see, this is the kind of ppl we're dealing with, vindictive and God keeps on preesing it on me to forgive and bless them in return with the money. If it was just that easy

  4. I'm presuming that you're born again and have accepted Jesus as your savior.

Do you have peace along with the answer you believed came from God? If not, ask Him for peace if this is the direction He wants you to pursue. satan never gives peace, and can't give answers to prayers not directed to him.

It's great that you're asking for directions from the One who has all of the answers.

Yes I have peace about it, but get really rebels when thinking of giving my money away. Actually it's not my money but God's, but I have this problem of wanting things to go my way. And unfortunately God showed me so many times before it's not what I want, but I struggle with rebellion althouth I'm a christian now for many many years.

  5. Hi all my fellow bro's and sisters in Christ

Today I need advice from you on what you think we must do. Please advise as the Holy Spirit leads you.

We moved out of out previous house end of January 09 after a 2 year contract. We litterly had landlords out of hell. They did the final inspection of the property and were satisfied, they said we must give them a bond form to sign and we can get the bond back which is $1005.00. But first we had a witness with us and they totally freeked out about it and were extremely rude with our witness and chased him out of the house along with me and the children. Said they will only do the inspection if my husband is alone cause the woman said she hates me so much she can't stand the sight of me.

They signed the bond form but kept it along with the final inspection form and now refuse to give us a copy of the inspection or our bond form. They are disputing the bond now, for things that they said they found after the final inspection - 3 weeks after we moved out. They are the kind of ppl who will go and put extra stuff on the forms afterwards. We actually had to file a report with the police against them for breaking into the house and for constant harrasment.

    OK what my problem is:

Must we go ahead and take them to the tenancy tribunal court for our bond or must we let it go. Why I ask is that it pressures very hard on my heart to just give them the money and let go. Last night I ask the Lord to show me what to do. And like I said previously the Lord speaks to me through songs, sometimes even worldly music LOL. Well the next moment the song of Celine Dion popped into my head. I couldn't remember a word of this song except the following: "when you wanted the most, there's no easy way out" I said to the Lord OK Lord what are you trying to say, that I must release it? Then I had this vision that we gave a letter to the bond centre saying that they must give the money to the landlords but they must say in the letter that we hope they will be blessed by it. I got mad and said God, what about rightuousness? And the word came in my head, it's not for you to judge leave it to Me. Ok Lord, I will be calm about it. Next moment I rebel again and said yeah Lord but it's a lot of money and why must I give let satan win. The words, what you sow you will reap.

Now, satan also know the word of God, better than we. Was this God or not? WHat must I do?

  6. I agree with everyone here. God talks in your mind, He talks through visions and dreams and He talks through little things He brings over your path. We must just stay attent on what He shows us. The other day it was dark with clouds and overcast early in the morning and I was very down, but while I was driving to work, the next moment He showed me the most awesome sunrise. Only a few rays of sun trying to come throught the clouds. It was there just for a brief moment and I knew God told me to be still and Know He's there.

He also talks to me through music. And believe it or not, but sometimes even wordly music. Example. I was crying before God about major problems in our lifes and the next moment the song "put on the garments of praise with the spirit of heaviness" come into my head. I said please God not now, but I kept on singing the song until I felt better.

  7. Trust GOD in every situation,

Trust GOD when you are going through,

Trust GOD when hubby is acting up,

Trust GOD when wife is acting up, Trust GOD when the children are acting up.

    Trust GOD.

The boss might have looked over you, when it came to a position Trust GOD, The rent is due and bills need to be paid Trust GOD. JESUS loves us all. TRUST GOD even when everything is ok. Can you trust GOD when you feel like giving up? HE will FIX IT for you if you let HIM. WILL YOU TRUST HIM, IF EVERYTHING WAS TAKING AWAY FROM YOU, WILL YOU STILL TRUST HIM LIKE JOB DID?

    Amen Keysha,

It is so easy to say "trust God", but that is exactly what we need to do..in everything. God took us through rough times and still does, even though He waits up to the last minute, He still get us through. We went through a Job time for years in our life and if it was'nt for God, I truly can't say where we would've ended up.

I love Him so much for who He is and what He has done for us and still doing.

  8. All I want from hubby is that he stays the way he is. Love the Lord with everything in him. I know he loves the Lord more than me and that is exactly what I expect. And that he will always love me the way he does...unconditionally. The Lord gave me an angel out of heaven for a husband. We went through extreme rough times but our love for each other grew stronger with each trial...with the Lord's help.

  9. Hey Grace,

I agree with you... at least in part. Sure, Grace saves us. But if we thumb our nose at what seems to implied in Scripture, regarding baptism. Are we just closet Christians? and if we are, what is that worth anyways?

    What do you think....

I suppose, I should have added dunking, pouring and sprinkling to the poll.

No i don't think it's right to refuse what scripture says, that would make God's Word worthless. But like I said, your salvation does not depend on baptism, and I believe every christian must ask the Holy Spirit to lead them, for there is a lot of ppl who get baptist just for the sake of baptism and not for the real meaning of it. And personally I think that's also wrong, so rather leave it if not sure, and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you as to go into baptism just because, like in many instances, ppl say you must.

  10. Hi Mudcat,

I'm struggling with the same thing here. I don't believe that you MUST be baptist to be saved. You can only be saved by the grace of God and the Blood of Jesus Christ. Christ is the only way to the Father and if you accept Him as your Saviour, you are a child of God. I think baptism is something beween you and God. It is a personal dedication you make to God that you will follow in His steps and dedicate your life fully to Him. I prayed about this a lot and know the Holy Spirit will lead me to the decision whether I need to be baptist or not. If you have to be baptist to become a christian, then there would be a lot of ppl going to hell who came to the Lord just before they died. If you understand what I mean.

  11. I have noticed lately people especially teens using OMG as a catch phrase or some new fad. Isn't this along with many other quotes like this using Gods name in vain? I think many people think that if its not part of a curse word that its not. My understanding of this is if you use the name Jesus or God in an unnecessary way that its taking it in vain. I had a pastor tell me recently that The Jewish won't even utter Jehovah unless its during a religious pratice or feast ( Could someone let me know on this one). I wonder if the teenagers or even some adults that say these things have ever known God or even realise what they're saying. I would appreciate any thoughts on this matter. Thank you & God bless you!

Personnaly, I think and know its wrong to say OMG. This is a form of using God's name in vain. Most of these ppl don't even realize that they say it until you make them attend on it. We had a friend who said that a lot as well as Jesus' name, we spoke to him about it and he said he doesn't even realize he says it. OK he's not a christian, but that doesn't make it right.

  12. Before I accepted Christ, no one sat down and explained anything to me. I came to the knowledge of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all on my own. I never went to church or attended any kind of bible studies. It was just me, my bible and the Holy Spirit.

Again I said it wrong sorry. You are right, but someone did tell you or helped you and that was the Holy Spirit and the Word of God  (not necesary to be human is it?)

  13. As I said you can't just believe in Jesus and not believe in God and the Holy Spirit, or believ just in Jesus and God and not the Holy Spirit. Understand what I mean?

What about the Mentally Handicapped and those who accept Christ one day and die the next?

I know what you're saying, but you also said this, "You need to believe in all Three to be saved", and I don't believe that to be true. If it were, then the ones I mentioned above would not be saved.

"You need to believe in all Three to be saved", would mean that a certain amount of knowledge is required before the gift of salvation is given to anyone.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Word teaches that.

I don't believe we have all the answers. I also believe that the ppl who accept Christ one day and die the next will definetely go to heaven, because when they get saved, someone must've told them about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, or how everything works. God is merciful and gracious and would not turn anyone away who seeks Him. For the mentally ill, that's another story. People who have the mind of a child will enter the kingdom of God, for they don't know the difference between right or wrong, just like a baby who dies after birth or a small child. The certain amount of knowledge you get is with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and a walk with Him. So when ppl die just after salvation, they did not have that change and God knows that all to well.

What I'm trying to say is that you get saved immediately when accepting Christ in your life and nothing can take that away, but it's would be wrong to say Jesus existed on His own without the Father or the Holy Spirit's presence, or that Jesus exist but not God, or God exist but there is no Holy Spirit. This would be contra the Word of God. That's what I meant by you need to believe in all Three Perons. As soon as you get saved, you receive the Holy Spirit. I hope you see where I'm going with this. Unfortunetely my english writing isn't of the best.

  14. You need to belive in all Three to be saved.

Wouldn't simply putting all your faith in Christ be enough to cover that?

If you put all your faith in Christ, His teachings and what He did on the cross, I believe then you will also believe in God the Father and the Holy Spirit. And if you believe that you are truly a child of God. As I said you can't just believe in Jesus and not believe in God and the Holy Spirit, or believ just in Jesus and God and not the Holy Spirit. Understand what I mean?

  15. This is completely and utterly ridiculous and, I assume by reading it misguided.

#1 You can believe in the deity of Christ without believing in the Trinity.

#2 The Bible says you must confess Jesus Christ and believe that God raised Him from the dead to be saved. Adding anything else to that is condemning people God has not condemned.

#3 Belief or disbelief in any doctrine does not make you a christian or non-Christian. If it did, no one would be a christian. Do you know how many different opinions on different doctrines there are with in christianity. For every doctrine there is a opposite doctrine that many hold to. No one has it all figured out completely. If the Holy Spirit leads all christians into all truths and all christian will ultimately come to this truth. Why are there so many opposing doctrines and denominations within christianity?

Now let me ask you this, what if the Trinity is not the correct understanding of the Godhead? Does that mean you are not a Christian?

I'm not going to get into an arguement with you or anyone about this. I stated my believes and you stated yours.

As I respect your views, I also want respect for mine.

    God bless

  16. One cannot be a Christion who refuses to believe that God is three-in-one.

What about someone who doesn't understand it?

They believe in Jesus be just don't understand the 3 in 1 concept?

Would that individual be considered not a christian?

No that's definetely not true. Like I said in my post:

That is not to say that a person cannot become a Chrsitian without having explicit knowledge of the doctrine of God-as-Trinity.

You need to belive in all Three to be saved. Jesus can't stand alone or for that matter God or the Holy Spirit. There is a lot of ppl who don't understand the Trinity, but still believe in all Three of the Godhead. You don't have to understand it to be a truely converted christian, just believe

  17. CSA:

    Child Sexual Abuse...

I forgive all things described above done to me...

However, I hate myself due to a condition of being in sexual trauma. If I hate myself and don't forgive myself, does that = Hell for me?

No, i don't believe so, not if you are truly a child of God. But I want to ask you to ask God to help you in self forgiveness. Ask me I know. I was molested as a child up to teenage stage and couldn't forgive. Firstly I asked God to help me forgive those who sinned against me and when He did help me with that, He helped me to forgive myself. There is alot of other placed God had to help me with self forgiveness...a LOT of bad things. And believe me, He did. It took a very long time to get to that point, but it did.

Everytime I got the sick feeling of hate for myself, I tell satan to take it and buzz off, cause God forgave me, so who am I not to forgive myself.

  18. I have a question.

Does placing your belief on either side of the fence, oneness or trinity, have an affect on ones salvation?

This is my answer, a little long and maybe I will be crucified for this, but this is what I believe:

Does a person have to believe that God exists as a three-in-one deity in order to be saved (i.e. to know Christ and to appropriate the benefits of his death, thereby being rescued from thier sins and delivered from the wrath of God)? YES! To put the question negatively, can a person be a Christian and not belive in the Trinity? The answer is NO. That is not to say that a person cannot become a Chrsitian without having explicit knowledge of the doctrine of God-as-Trinity. One may well be genuinely converted to Christ, begin a real relationship with God through the gospel, and be delivered from sins without having any understanding of the Trinity at all. The gospel is believing in the work of Christ on the cross by faith and repenting of sins and recieving the free grace of God by the Spirit. What I am saying is that no genuinely converted person will deny the doctrine of the Trinity. No real Christian will be able to, ultimately deny that God exists in 3 persons. The reason is that at the very heart of the doctrine of the Trinity lies the deity of Jesus Christ

Jesus said the purpose of the Holy Spirit was to guide his disciples in

  19. Once again Grace, these scripture support Oneness not the Trinity.

OK, so maybe I'm a little dumb, but oneness and the Trinity is exactly the same. Three Persons in One...Oneness...three Persons - Trinity??????

No they are not the same Oneness believers belief God is One period. The trinity believers think that God is three separate beings.

I understand what you say to me, but in my heart the oneness and the trinity is more or less the same. I don't really know how to explain how I understand it. But for me they are one (where I see the oneness) but Three persons (the trinity), If you can try to understand what I mean. Furthermore this is my believe:

By Trinity we mean that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) consisting of one essence-substance, who is a Trinity of three individual Persons with independent intellect, emotions and will: the Father & the Son & the Holy Spirit. It does not mean that there are three individual god's who make up one Godhead. There is only one God who is made up of three persons. Take any one of these persons away and you no longer have the one and only True God.

See this is where my understanding of oneness also comes in, They are three Persons, but One God.

  20. I do not personally believe the Apostle either believed or taught Trinitarianism at all, but that it was formulated much latter in a effort to explain an unexplainable God. Nor do i believe that the doctrine of the Trinity is taught in scripture.

That is my own opinion. :emot-highfive:

This is what the Word of God says:

"There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." (1 John 5:7)

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (1 Timothy 3:16)

This tells me that the scripture definetely teach the Trinity.
